It doesn't mention or say without root. And my title just say with bootloader locked. The Dev in screenshot claims his root exploit was a success, meaning he managed to get root without bootloader unlock and without magisk

Thank you for the explanation. Cheers!

@fuadhdmini you may be interested in changing the thread type from "Question" to "General".

Are you making a guide for this?

Hello.
I have already rooted my xoom2.
I want to help unlock the bootloader.
Where do i start from?

Does this mean bootloader is unlockable?

So I've got a Pixel XL I got from Bell here in Canada. I kinda assumed the bootloader wouldn't be unlockable the way direct from Google phones are and thought I would need to use the Verizon unlock method. I was gonna do this today before downloading the November update just to be sure I didn't lose the ability. Well I thought I would try it the regular way first with "fastboot oem unlock". Anyway I get the option on my phone to select yes or no if I want to unlock after putting in the comand. Do the Verizon versions do this or does that mean the Bell version is bootloader unlockable out of the box with no special expolit? If so I don't think I'll unlock the bootloader right now because of the required whipe and I was just doing it so I didn't lose the ability.

You should be able to just unlock it.
Sweet! That's great to hear. Bell didn't mess with the bootloader.

Unlocking Bootloader just in case...

Hi All,
I don't have my phone yet but upon looking at all the complexities of unlocking/rooting, I'm thinking I want to unlock it just in case I decide to dive in more after I've become accustomed to the phone and learned what I would like it to be able to do (beyond what it already can). I honestly will probably only root and maybe flash a kernel. Don't think I need a ROM (we'll see though... I used to be a very flash-happy person in my past...) I will probably root it as well, but I'm not even sure about that just yet.
So my question is this: is it simple to just unlock the bootloader to make sure it's unlocked for down the road, if I decide to customize more? Also, is it quick/easy to root, if I decide to do that as well up front? If so, does rooting just affect Android Pay?
Go to the Pixel XL parent forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl
And do a search for thread titles containing "Verizon" to find all your answers.

Did the same. Just unlocked, flashed boot to root via fastboot and a kernel via fastboot. Still don't have twrp on mine.

VoLTE

Hello all,
I saw an article that says that Sprint is updating the SG8 and SG8+ with VoLTE with callingplus.
http://androidandme.com/2017/08/news/sprint-updates-samsung-galaxy-s8-s8-plus-callingplus/
Its there any way to enable this for us. I have tried some options in the hidden menu app that does enable VoLTE, but I does not seem to work when I tested it. Any thoughts?

Probably not, especially without root access.

Not to mention I think all carriers would just assume forget the G5. Doubtful any new features are ever added. Lucky we still get the occasional security update.

XA2 PLUS Relock Bootloader

Can we go back to the bootloader lock of xa2 plus ?? Help
from what I have read Sony bootloader unlocking works like HTC's S-OFF did... it trips hardware switch that cannot be reset
Sony says "no"
At least there is no official way except replacing the mainboard.
You can find this statement from SONY on their website "How to unlock bootloader" under FAQ.

it's sad...
Finally we went something else, such as the custom rom for at least improving the quality of the photo botched by the loss of drm keys. Omnirom gave a little improvement for the focus of the cam for xa2 plus.
Thanks to the help of our friend Scanno my phone has changed his fluidity.
