Anyone know when the July Update is coming (for P6P)?
I have issues with dropping signal, so was kinda hoping there might be a fix there.

Updates always release on the 1st Monday of each month. If that Monday falls on a holiday like it has this year -- the update will be out the following Monday.

Well, seeing as I only started having problems with the last update, I'd say yeah, it could fix it.

I was having issues with the cellular signal after the June update. I did a full wipe update and my cellular service improved dramatically.

The update will come when the update comes. Be patient.
And be grateful that Pixel devices enjoy monthly updates like this. Most OEMs can't be bothered to provide an update twice a year, much less once a month.

Actually, it recently was uploaded.
Update: links lead to 404 error.
There are 3 links for July on the usual web page: https://developers.google.com/android/images#raven
But all 3 giving a 404 error for the time being ... I guess they are being uploaded as we speak ...

Up to June update I didn't had any problems. Like you it, it ruined my Pixel experience... Updated to July, and will run it for a couple of days and see how it goes. Need to travel for work.
Downloading the update now. If you started to have cell problems with the June update then I suggest a FULL wipe for the July update. The full wipe for June solved my cell problems. I have not seen an "!" in over a week!
Has anyone seen the release notes for the July update?

I flashed the global fw on my unlocked P6P (purchased in Europe). Didn't brick so I guess I'm good lol. It's confusing though.

Nah you won't brick anything with switching between Global/EMEA.
But it might cause some troubles. E.g. I always imagined the ppl with network connectivity issues might just be on the wrong build. But I have no idea so far.

I was as shocked as you were, creation date 6th June, personally wonder why they bothered considering update content.

Standby time seems to be very much improved, a 2% drop over night and that was it.
Can I apply the update with my device being rooted with magisk or do I need to uninstall magisk first? Saw somewhere people using flashfire but I am not sure if I need to apply it from there as I have twrp installed. Grabbed the update so will upload.

no, i just ask if there's some news with the battery with these update - does google will do something?
As far as i have read about it online, it mostly says various vulnerability fixes. Rest have to wait for the update to check ourselves that is it really battery friendly or not.
thank you,
and about the question in gmail?
How would we know if the update hasn't been released yet?
Is there a specific day of the month these updates drop....or is it usually just at some point early in the month? I've been looking for dates the last few days trying to figure out the schedule but it hasn't been as easy as I thought it'd be. I believe February's dropped on the 5th. That's the only one with a date I could find.
I think the monthly security updates are be released on the first Monday of a month.

Download the July OTA from Google and sideload it using ADB. Directions on how to do it are on the page I just linked to.
I know I can but why OTA doesn't come?
Ask Google. But really, does it matter why when you have the ability to fix the problem?
Because is strange that a brand new device stopped updating. But I know, a solution is a solution.
Not that strange. The rollout of OTAs if I recall is staged. It's possible you're one of the last to get it, or other issues such as network quality could affect it. The only people who would know for certain is Google. I couldn't tell you myself because I download the full OTA every month: I'm rooted and incremental OTAs cause issues.
thanx

And what did they say? I bet they didn't mention the OTA images mentioned upthread, and I bet you've not taken advantage of it to actually get yourself updated. That of course is your call, but complaining won't get your phone updated any faster.
ok

It's a perfectly viable solution, but you're only disagreeing because it isn't the answer you wanted to hear. I don't know who on this forum can give you the answer you want, especially if Google couldn't.

There is no exact date for launching Pie on U1 but it will be there in coming weeks. As on locked phones they started rolling out already.

True that and i am just wondering why on earth i bought Snapdragon Variant anyway as Samsung only support their own processor first.
It's always that way, Samsung always rolls out updates to the big market carrier phones first and unlocked phones last.

True not too bad, only 2 months after their initial release (Dec 2018). :silly:
It was inferred by Samsung Care yesterday that I shouldn't be surprised with a March OTA.
Regardless, T-Mobile will need to be completed before us and they are still in the "development" phase of OneUI.

Yep, T-Mobile pulled their update because of problems. I'm wondering now if that's going to delay the unlocked update. BTW, the 2/18 date came from a chat someone in the beta forums had with support.

Google pushes updates out in waves. It is possible that you have to wait for days, or even weeks to get an update prompt, even when manually clicking the button.
It's Tuesday night 6/7 at 10:45PM EST, and no June OTA update yet for me, either.
