I'm locked out of my OnePlus watch due to a glitch on the lock screen is there a way to factory reset the watch it's not paired or anything but I figured I could plug the charger into a comp. And backdoor the files but that didn't work. Any suggestions, Rick

[Q] Screen lock via PIN bug?

Hello,
first of all I want to say hello to this active community. I have been a reader for a long time.
today I have experienced a strange bug with still persist. I am running a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and recently change the screen lock from pattern to PIN.
Today I have unlocked the screen via PIN multiple times, but now the PIN is suddenly not working.
I called Samsung support and they told me to send the phone to them. They think it is a bug since I can enter the PIN unlimited times and the phone does NOT get blocked.
Is there a way to do a reset? What can i do? I am a bit helpless at the moment.
I have read that a hard reset/ wipe does not overwrite the PIN. Whats my best bet to access the phone again?

security/knock code vanished

I was out shopping in sunny MK and something weird happened to my phone. I took it out of my pocket to check something and the screen was on the emergency pin screen, like i had tried 5 attempts to unlock the phone and failed. I entered my pin as normal, and did what i needed to, but the next time i unlocked the phone, the complete knock code/security had vanished off the phone and the it was set to swipe unlock?
Ive put the knock code security back on, but is this something that has happened to anyone before? is it something i should be worried about.
cheers
Ray
It happens anytime you try 5 times and fail. Once you put your security code in you have to reset it.

Smart Lock Feature

I set up my ZenWatch as a trusted device and it is showing that its being used. The strange thing is when my phone is on my desk and the screen sleeps for some time or if I am in the car (I also have my car stereo setup as trusted) it still asked for my fingerprint to unlock. Any idea why this is? My last device didnt do this. I am also using the Google Now Launcher if that matters at all.
Does it always ask for your fingerprint? I think it will ask the first time for your fingerprint and not on subsequent times while you are connected to a trusted device.

Mine did the same thing with my Gear S. It hasn't happened today so it may have been fixed in the update.

Not allways, but after about 15 minutes or so of it sitting it will once I press the home button to turn the screen on.
If your watch at any point, loses connection to your phone, it will trigger the smart lock off. Even if it reconnects again on its own before you use the phone again. Once smart lock is tripped, it can't go back without authorization.

Just thought I'd clear this up in case anyone was wondering. When you connect to a trusted device, the lock automatically disables. I use mine with my car's bluetooth. The second it connects, phone unlocks automatically.

PIN quit being accepted

Lately my phone has not been accepting my fingerprint every time to unlock it, so earlier today I went to scan a new fingerprint and discovered my PIN no longer works.
I've tried opening a couple things that require the PIN as well as locking the phone, but despite being the same PIN that's been working for ages, today it is no longer accepted.
I'm reluctant to restart the phone as it requires a PIN after a restart, but I'd like to get this fixed, ideally without a factory reset. As is, I can't get to any security settings and when the fingerprint is not recognized cannot open many apps. Anyone experienced this? Found some threads about the S8 having this issue, but not the Note 10+.
Thanks.
Take it to the FBI. Otherwise, you're probably have to do a factory reset.

So, you can unlock the phone, and some apps can not be opened? Or, you have no lockscreen, but only apps require pin or fingerprint?

I can unlock via fingerprint, but say if I want to add a new fingerprint, it asks for the PIN first, entering the PIN that previously worked now no longer works.
Similarly, was trying to unlock an app via fingerprint which wasn't being recognized, so the phone then switched to requiring a PIN and failed to accept it.
If i were to restart and it says "PIN required after restart" then I'd be potentiality screwed if it won't accept the PIN.
Randomly, after doing nothing and the phone sitting on my desk, it's all of a sudden working again. No idea if it will remain working or decide the PIN is incorrect again though.
What I'd do then is turn off all the security, if it lets you then set up security again.
If you are feeling daring, kill all the security, do a factory reset and then set up again...
Might be a corrupt file that is causing issues...

Question Watch refuses to pair with Redmi Note 8 Pro

I had to send in my phone for repair (likely will take a good while since it's the holidays and all) so in the mean time I'm using an old phone but having major pains trying to get these two to work together. I get the FastConnect prompts from the PW app, though it always fails immediately after PIN confirmation, and the watch just mindlessly does that "circle going around the rectangle" searching animation, and the overlay on the phone says it failed to connect, and offers me the option to "open app." As long as the watch animation is going, the PIN codes on my phone just repeat, never going anywhere, so trying again just fails anyway due to "incorrect PIN" as they don't even display on the watch at that point.
Eventually, after maybe 5-10 mins, the watch gives up, says it "can't pair with devices," and presents only the option to "reconnect," which forces a reboot and the process to start anew once more.
I've attempted to pair it with the Bluetooth settings instead, only for it to fail there, as well.
ONE TIME I somehow got it to pair, then when I made it to the step to set up Assistant, it failed twice to do so before I opted to skip that, but it DID finish and I got to the main PW app menu. Unfortunately, I was distracted by something after messing with the Pixel Watch app on the phone, only to look back and see it was "disconnected" and my watch said it had "failed to connect," and now I'm back at square one, with a pretty paperweight strapped to my wrist. I'd like to be able to track my sleep and heart rate for the time being until my phone is repaired. Any suggestions?
Have you reset the watch to factory settings? I can only pair a watch with a fresh reset of the sotfware, I get the offer to connect and link without the reset but it always fails, and I had to remove the watch from the fitbit app as well.
Multiple times.
