Ah, the best would be a lineageos rom for Nokia G10 TA-1334, with a TWRP and the flash procedure that goes with it, but for the moment I only have the phone and some motivation.
If I can dump files, provide data to help, I volunteer and maybe even build the custom rom. But I'm aware that we need root privileges, and build a TWRP too.
I am a novice. Sorry if I misunderstood what is needed to port a new smartphone.
Hello, my Nokia G20 is write on the back TA-1365 , but after fresh installation with this firmware always get stuck on logo android one. To work properly I needed to change the preloader file to a variant TA-1336 and work. is it normal?

hi i am trying to FRP erase as i can not get to phone there is lockscreen. My newphiew doesnt remember the unlock numbers! So i am familiar with recovery and flashing but this is so strange phone!
I can not get to recovery only in fastboot mode. I have mediatek drivers but still i cant flash with flashtool and i tried HMD Device kit as admin but i dont have permissions.
So is it problem that there is no usb debugging enabled? or why i can not use your tool... i am so tired i have done almost everything.
Any clue on how to get firmware or delete lockscreen?

You can definitely unlock your device but you would need to disassemble the device and then short the test point so that you can unlock your device.
HMD Device Kit is not a free software and Nokia Care Centers are only able to access it but outsiders do have access to the software who charge heavy fees.

So i will try if i can flash firmware from fastboot mode.

Hello everyone.
I have a Nokia Lumia 900 with unlocked bootloader / Qualcomm. I mean, I have Nand Access (if I try OSBL mode it asks to format). I'm currently running OS v 8107 and update 8773 is available but update is not feasible via Zune nor NCS (it does not find Nokia bootloader and can't proceed, so reboots).
As far as I know, updating via QPST is neither posible because of custom ROM (.nb file) is not available at this momento. Am I right?
The unlock bootloader is as is 'since factory'. Is there any chance to flash 'original' Nokia DLOAD so I can upgrade via Zune and/or flash OEM ROM via NCS?
Any help would be appreciated.
I've never heard of a Lumia 900 with a Qualcomm bootloader.
But if in fact you do, you should be messaging biktor_gj and Heathcliff so they can get a copy of that bootloader from you

Really, it my case, and that's why it's difficult to me to updating because they have not yet been able to unlock 900. Thanks for the tip, i'm going that way.
This might be what we've been all waiting for ankerael - keep us posted please if this might lead to unlocking the Lumia 900!

Well if its the same Qualcomm bootloader that the 800 & 710 have, its my understanding that its already unlocked.
biktor_gj was the one that discovered it for the 800/710, that's why its crucial you message him. If you do in fact have a Qualcomm bootloader for a 900, he would be able to set it up so that we with the NLOAD bootloader can downgrade to the Qualcomm. Then custom roms can happen.
But until then, you can upgrade via the CAB method SuperSport has provided here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736863. It only updates the OS though, not the firmware

Hi,
I had already DM biktor_gj and am awaiting for his response. I tried CAB method before (1 month aprox) and had no success. When it restarts the pone and sends upddated files it gives and error (don't remember the number, i'll try to reproduce later) and reboots with the OS non updated.
I'll keep you updated when I try CAB method once again and regarding the response I get of the DM. Thanks again

anything happen yet? i've recently purchased a Lumia and i'm definiely wondering about this. an amazing phone regardless!
Definitely DON'T upgrade anything until heathcliff and others can check out your bootloader. If you do indeed have qualcomm bootloader (and it seems you do as no update method is working for you) this could be VERY helpful in helping us unlock other Lumias.
This sounds like amazing news if it can be done.
How do I find out what bootloader I have on my lumia 900?
Thanks

Turn off your phone. Then, boot into recovery (Either Power+Volume Up or Power+Volume Down), then plug the phone into your computer. If it asks you to format, say no, it can brick your phone. You have a Qualcomm bootloader. If it says "NOKIA DLOAD", then you have a Nokia bootloader.

I have Qualcomm bootloader and still have no clue about recovering DLOAD or even flashing a custom/stock ROM. I can't even update via Zune. Still stuck at 8107.79 (FW 8107.12071) ...
Any idea pls?
Hi,
Many people sent me messages with a reference to this thread. So, I will post here some info on this subject.
- It would be useful for research purposes to have a dump of the ROM. You can do that by connecting your Lumia to a Linux box and have it mounted a mass-storage-device. Linux has proper file-system-drivers to access the device. Make sure you don't write anything to the device. Just make a backup of all the files you see on the phone. Use WinRAR to pack it and upload it somewhere for sharing.
- In general, the NOKIA bootloaders have already been analyzed. But they are coded very tightly. No exploit for a HSPL-like-hack have been found yet.
- The dumped bootloader cannot be used to downgrade existing phones to the version with the unlocked bootloader, unless a hardware hack, similar to this, will be found for Lumia 900. It cannot be used now, because a signed certificate is missing for that.
- Currently only ankerael can benefit from this. After you made a backup of all the files/partitions (in Linux), you could ask a ROM builder, like Ultrashot, to fix a nice ROM for you. Maybe he can create an unlocked ROM for Lumia 900 for you? You could follow this guide for flashing the Nokia Lumia. Be careful! It is easy to brick your device with this stuff!
Good luck,
Heathcliff74

Is there any chance that someone could find a hardware hack or the certificate for the 900? Is anyone actively working on this, or is development on the 900 basically dead now that the 920 has replaced it? I know that others have replied to and asked this question, so sorry for asking it again, but I just wanted an update
Thanks,
Matthew

Update-
Please flash the OEMINFO and Custom bin from - https://mega.nz/#!qYtlzawK!Ab86GUO40JpUZ8scGnaIszhA-3gf6bN4NdfuHb8IeBU via TWRP
and then flash the B340 update.app file from download section via dload method. if you face any issue, follow entire guide for other way of doing this.
Initial credits to @uditshah for his guide and @sanjay.rup in sorting my issues at start itself while I was not sure whether to go or not and giving me correct oeminfo file. and all fellow members, and few to name @gopinaidu77 @adriansticoid @RedSkull23 who always helped/supported and encouraged me.
This guide will work 100% if followed correctly. This was tested myself couple of nights back and I successfully debranded or rebranded, as few say, to BLN-L22 from BLN-AL10.
Old version - BLN-AL10C00B379
New version- BLN-L22C675C340
Hi Folks,
Saw many post earlier on MM for debranding to other variant, especially from China variant to EU or Indian version and few of the worked FF but not for all. It never worked for Nougat and we all were struggling, at least to debrand China variant. So in this post, we will mainly focus on EMUI 5.0 or Nougat version for debranding. Few days back, a guide was posted which was very good and helped me to debrand mine. Yes, I faced few issues while following it and for once I was stuck with
Phone Locked
FRP Locked.
That was the moment I though It will never come up but yeah there was a hope as I never saw FRP on my Chinese variant and it all started from there and in this I will share the, almost full proof, detailed steps to debrand.
Prerequisites-
Have a full TWRP backup on your current model and store on PC/SD card.
Files for the new model (BLN-L22 variant)
Memory card with at least 8 GB space.
Firmware finder tool to get the files (preferable on PC)
Huawei multi tool
Working PC and of course, Honor 6X
Most important- PATIENCE. Do not panic. It will take max 2 hours including downloads, backup, restore, flash etc. (may vary depend on your download speed)
Shall we start? Let’s go further and do it now.
Downloads-
OEMINFO -https://mega.nz/#!eBECSYKZ!rte1IxPYuw3Y0NVcySOFy23tXWXoR6vBBo46iJ6JlEw
Main update.zip B340 version - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1190/g79/v94286/f1/full/update.zip
Data file for B340 (This is required for putting updater app and other stuff on phone or you won’t get updater)-
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...el_in/update_data_full_BLN-L22_channel_in.zip
Huawei Multi Tool- https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=19002#downloads (Version V7 zip)
Firmware Finder app on PC – this is not required as I have given the link above. You can still download it for future usage- http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/huawei-firmware-finder/ (download for PC) or direct link- http://pro-teammt.ru/projects/hwff/GetLatestVersion.action
Steps-
Unlocking bootloader/rooting and MT tool instalaltion-
Unlock your bootloader, flash custom recovery and root it with this https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/root-huawei-honor-6x-install-twrp-t3671822
Backup backup backup your current phone in TWRP.
Installation of Tool installation and backing up current OEM Info file-
Download Huawei Multi Tool from this XDA thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/tool-huawei-multi-tool-team-mt-t3523923 , direct download link https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=19002#downloads select V7 zip, extract it and go to the folder.
Run by double clicking the bat file as below

Once the tool is running you will see the device connected as below (It will show your phone’s serial number) – Note: (I have not connected my device here, as I dindt was to flash the file again, so it wont show any device ID and just a random data)
Follow step by step images below to backup your current oeminfo file (path of the backup is the folder where you ran the bat file above\backup) in my case it was C:\Users\Downloads\Compressed\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT_v7\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT\Backup
Changing vendor/country- input 7
Selecting device- input 6X or 6x
Save or restore OEMINFO - input 1
Saving OEMINFO- input 1
Confirmation screen for saving the OEM INFO File.
Just make a copy of this file to some other folder, as same folder will be used for a new oeminfo file for new model.
Till now, we have just backed up ourselves so that in case we run into a situation where unbale to boot further or stuck, this will be handy to restore.
Let’s proceed with actual rebranding now.
Extract the Main zip file, you will get 4 files as below, copy all of them to SD card/ External memory card under “dload” folder.
Extract the Data file zip, you will get 5 files as below, copy all of them to SD card/ External memory card under “dload-data” folder.
Rename the downloaded oeminfo file to oeminfo: oeminfo-BLN-L22C675B340.zip -->> oeminfo.zip
Copy the OEFMINFO file for new variant (BLN-L22) to backup folder of Multi tool where you backed up the original oeminfo of your original model. (above path - C:\Users\Downloads\Compressed\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT_v7\Huawei_Multi-Tool_by_Team_MT\Backup)
Run the Huawei multi tool again same as above but this time, instead of backup of oeminfo, it will be option 2 to restore the file.
It should show the progress and confirm the download/restore complete. If this is failed, PELASE DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER and ask in comment section below.
Once OEMINFO restore is successful, you have the oeminfo of new version flash on your model.
Now reboot to fastboot, you will most probably see below status (don’t panic that’s normal now)
Phone- LOCKED
FRP- LOCKED
Remove the USB and Power off the phone by pressing power key now.
Use dload method now i.e. press Volume up + Volume down+ Power key together. Stock recovery should start flashing the files (Note- Do not just put the Update.app in dload and need all 4 files mentioned above)
Phone will verify the package and start installation. It will take only couple of minutes for 100% flash and phone will reboot.
Phone will boot but most probably give you the black screen only, for few minutes. Just waif for 3-4 minutes. (as mentioned, do not panic here as well)
Press power key to turn off the phone.
Take out the memory card and delete dload folder or rename to “dload-main”.
Rename the folder “dload-data” to dload.
Insert the SD card.
Use dload method now i.e. press Volume up + Volume down+ Power key together. Stock recovery should start flashing the files (Note- Do not just put the Update.app in dload and need all 5 files mentioned above)
This will take 30-40 seconds maximum to flash.
Once this is flashed, phone will reboot and ask you to set up the phone.
Unlike the China variant or other which may or may not ask for Google account setup, this may ask but you can skip it by skipping the Wi-Fi connection and removing the sim card so that no data is there to connect.
Follow the on screen instruction and Setup the phone.
BINGO. You are on BLN-L22 now and it will support Jio VOLTE and other stuff that other Honor 6X phones has for BLN-L22 (you are no longer other BLL, BLN model anymore and on BLN-L22)
This took me exactly 207 minutes to compile this guide and then 15-20 minutes in drafting on XDA, after I personally faced many issues but as mentioned, do not panic and proceed step by step and you would achieve what you wished for. Comment below on your experience and share if any modification is needed to the guide, I will do, but as per my knowledge, this is what I could prepare best for any NOOB user who doesn’t even know what root or anything is.
Share your thoughts on guide and ask any question when you stuck.
Note-
This was tested from BLN-AL10 to BLN-L22
This may work from any model/variant to BLN-L22 (most probably without any issues)
This should work for all BLL models as well, because there are no restriction on Hardware part.
Good luck and enjoy.

So have you tried installing a custom ROM again?

I don't have experience on debranding, but if once i'll ever need to do it, here is where i'll surely come. The guide is done very well: listed on steps like you did with the help of detailed images, makes practically impossibile to make errors even to the best noob on earth, making it as you said 100% working so. The guide is done very well: listed on steps like you did with the help of detailed images, makes practically impossibile to make errors even to the best noob on earth, making it as you said 100% working so. Excellent work mate, respect!

Hi all,
I'm considering buying a Nokia 7.1 and I was wondering if the current unlock procedure is working with this version as well?
Thanks!
According to a facebook post, they are not going to offer any bootloader unlock for the 7.1. Hopefully this is wrong information.
Nokia Mobile Hi Robert! Thanks for your interest. At this point, there are no plans of releasing the 7.1 with an unlocked bootloader.
Until HMD allows bootloader unlocking I'll stick with Oneplus and Xaiomi for complete control and root access
Can a Mod fix the title for this thread? It may be here awhile. Thanks.
Someone needs to try once they have a 7.1?

I think that comment is taken out of context. I see it as they are shipping all phones with locked bootloader, not that they won't be unlockable.

Yes, my reading as well.
Fair, here was my original question but I do understand the possible confusion between unlockable and selling it unlocked.
Thinking about getting two 7.1 devices when they start shipping. Is there word on whether or not the bootloader will be unlockable? If the bootloader can't be unlocked I'll move on to something else.

I tried the Nokia Bootloader Unlock method, no joy. The unlock app says "Device not support."

that`s why i`d never buy a Nokia phone.
As long as Nokia doesn`t allow their customers to do with their phones what THEY want i buy Xiaomi phones :good:
Why is the OEM unlock toggle in development settings greyed out , have Nokia locked it down ?

Seriously?! I was thinking in buying this phone because it isn't huge and it is android One. The only alternatives that I can think are Xiaomi Mi A2 or Galaxy S9

It's a decent device, and having One is certainly a plus, but I'm moving on to the Sony XZ3 for a few reasons including the lack of an easy, supported method of unlocking the bl.
Additionally, AOSP is available for the Sony if that's your preference and it gets timely monthly updates.

Hey there,
I own a Nokia 7.1 and was also looking around for a way to unlock the bootloader. I've been looking around and it turns out Nokia has their own website for this. I have unfortunately not posted enough times to give a URL, but a quick search for 'nokia bootloader unlock' has the top result showing the page I am referencing.
Not sure if it's been posted as a reply before, but I thought I'd share.
Here's the site.
Not used it personally though
The second result when searching is a paid service($8) but they remotely connect to your computer to do it which I'd not be comfortable with to be honest

I used said 8$ Service today. Some indian guy named Narender Singh, friendly, patient with a Android noob like me. Communication in my case via Telegram chat. Time difference isn't that large from Germany to India (they have UTC+5:30). Contrary to my sparse Android skills I'm definetely not a complete noob with computers, know a console command when I see one. I took precautions, and was aware at what was happening on screen and tracking the clipboard at all times. But really nothing suspicious ever happened. He used all the software and ROMs that i had downloaded myself in advance from sources I found myself using google (f.e. NOSt 0.6).
He did do all the nessessary steps in the cmd, always inside the NOSt path, fastboot this and fastboot that, not a single command did look suspicious or aimed at the computer (which was a fresh win10 set up for the purpose, and not in Home Network). He looked up some serial Number and other device information he got from the phone NOSt console commands, copied them to a newly created text file. Two minutes later he copied a large string into said textfiles (no console commands, more like a veeeery long key) which he supposedly created from the serial number and other device information he got from my phone.
Some rebooting the phone in download mode later, the bootloader is unlocked (console confirmed, downloadmodescreen in phone confirmed as well).
We had no luck in installing the Havoc GSI ROM however, which I had downloaded in advance, but in a wrong version (like for twrp and/or tailored for some motorola?). So now my next problem is: since not many people know how to unlock the bootloader of the Nokia 7.1, nobody will develop a custom ROM tailored for it.
I will now have to look for and try some GSI google-assistant-free ROMs the next days and try those twrp/adb installation guides... Any suggestions are welcome :fingers-crossed:
Narender suggested, that I should try Custom ROMs tailored for "Nokia 6.1 Plus". Don't know why, probably the model is very similar? I'd feel more like trying generic GSI ROMs instead, but that's just a feeling, because i simply don't know how similar they really are.
So far my feedback on unlocking the bootloader on my 7.1.
I don't know if this helps or not, but you can still toggle the oem unlock button even if its greyed out on pie.
All you have to do is turn off the developer options and turn it back on , but as soon you turn on the developer options click on the oem unlock button as quickly as possible and it should toggle the button. Well, it did in my case.
Has anyone tried using it. Let me know if it works.

Hi
My Mi 11x suddenly stopped showing IMEI & baseband version, getting No service and sim cards are not detected. I tried the following.
1. Reinstall latest MIUI using Recovery ROM
2. I have unlocked the bootloader and tried to Flash using the latest Miui using MiFlash tool.
Can you guide me with next steps on how to proceed here.??
On your own is impossible , send it to service center and they'll fix it for you is still within warranty.
If it is not in warranty then get ready to find guys with authorised edl accounts to do the flashing for you.
They will charge you money for that and guide you trough the process.
Again you can't do it by yourself.
Someone correct me pls if i'am wrong.
The device is Out of warranty, tried with the service centre, they flashed the device once with latest MIUI, its unsuccessful. They said, motherboard has to be changed and charges are around 23k.
I should be able to do it, let me know if there are any steps / guide. where i can refer to?

I would have definitely provided you the file but I don't have access to download the file from my current package through halabtech.
I would have to buy the package for $59.00 but I can only buy it on 11 March 2023.

Hi mvikrant97 - Thanks for your reply. I can wait till 11March, but I can also see that the engineering ROM for Mi11x is available at this website. Can we trust this? If yes, what steps should we perform? Please help.

You need to know some basics about the engineering rom. Head to YouTube and learn, because you have to write manually the IMEI numbers. You will be able to find those IMEI numbers at the phone box provided.

I agree. I have gone through few videos and forums to understand what engineering ROM is and learning is a ongoing/never ending process .
I couldn't find steps on how to flash the engineering rom (NOT sure, if i can use MiFlash tool similar to flashing fastboot rom).

Since you already have unlocked the bootloader, it will be easy for you. Just flash it using same method like how you flash the original firmware

Yes there you go. You have an unlocked bootloader so now you can flash the ROM using fastboot mode.
Download Xiaomi Redmi K40/POCO F3/Mi 11X Engineering Firmware ROM
I have also attached the QCN file for the phone to restore IMEI.
Please PM Kevin mitnick and he will help you out.

1. I have temporarily rooted the device using magisk
2. As per his recommendation, I am using this tool to open the diag port and update the QCN file.
3. I am getting following error using QPST and QFIL Tools

Can someone help me on how to proceed further
As far as I know you need to have an authorized Xiaomi account to be able to use QPST.
That is why I told u that you need a guy with an authorized Xiaomi account who can do the flashing for you.
You can search for these guys on the internet or on Telegram.
Costs from what I read 15 to 20 € wich is not that much for a working device.
I'am not promoting paid services here on XDA, just sharing my experience.
I'am only aware that it was possible to fix on older devices than the Poco F3, on older MIUI and Android versions.
And I still hope that i'am wrong bout what I'am saying and you get it fixed without having to pay money for a fix.
But I never had that issue on Android and so i'am not able to help you.

Yes we don't promote paid tools here but the thing is we need to fix the device somehow.
Hi everyone!
after a lot of searching (including in this forum) i haven't quite understood what is or isn't possible, and i haven't been able to get clear answers. so sorry if this was already discussed a couple of times.
i own the indian variant (LE2121), even though i live in Israel (aliexpress is the only decent way to get your hands on oneplus devices in my country),
for obvious reasons in an ideal world i would want to install a global firmware on my device, so i can uninstall bloatware and avoid Inidian restrictions that aren't necessary in my country.
is that a possibility?
from what research i managed to do: i understand that i need a suitable version of MSMDownloadTool (which i couldn't find) and a firmware (which i saw is listed in the sticky threads).
should i download everything as if i own the global variant of the device? should i download the LE2121 version of the MSMTool and the global rom? do i need to root/unlock the bootloader for my device?
i also have tried to just download the newest global version and install it via Settings -> local install, but it just tells me "verification failed" and nothing else.
last thing: if it helps, my device currently has this firmware version: LE2121_11_F.20
would really appreciate any help i can get,
cheers.

You can flash the global rom with unlocked bootloader and fastboot enchanched (fbe)
Or you Download load the global rom
And open it with 7z and edit a file in the zip with notepad++ and then flash it with a local update
Edit the payload_porperties.txt
The line oplus_update_eingine_verify_disable=0 to
oplus_update_eingine_verify_disable=1
Here you go, This should work. May have to play around with the check boxes and if a target button is available, select India......

it shows both COM 8 & 9 because i tried two different usb slots with two different cables. i ended up using a type-c to type-c cable since it's the most reliable cable i have atm.
my phone is in EDL mode (as far as i can tell) and it shows up in device manager like so, after i installed Qualcomm drivers and restarted my PC:
i'm using Windows 11, i have tried using compatibility mode and\or "start as administrator", but it didn't help.

system-wide, yes. everything works as expected and i don't get any weird errors, plus having the benefit of formatting my phone makes it feel smooth and "new" again, which is nice.
one of the main reasons i did this (aside from what i mentioned originally) is because i sometimes get stutters desynced audio when playing video (no matter the source). i can resolve this by closing all apps and re-opening youtube/whatever i was watching.
i hoped it'd be fixed with the firmware change but it wasn't. maybe it's a hardware issue or something

system-wide, yes. everything works as expected and i don't get any weird errors, plus having the benefit of formatting my phone makes it feel smooth and "new" again, which is nice.
one of the main reasons i did this (aside from what i mentioned originally) is because i sometimes get stutters desynced audio when playing video (no matter the source). i can resolve this by closing all apps and re-opening youtube/whatever i was watching.

If I see any answers, will let you know. I don't know if the audio.img or whatever it is called is available to be flashed...
