Hi
For about a week now I am facing network problems for sending or receiving sms or phone calls since the last update of LOS 18.1 (june 18th).
I'm on Miatoll since about 2 months, tried to reset network, change preferences, etc... Sometimes *#06# gives me no IMEI so I searched this way, but sometimes I still have an IMEI but the network doesn't work anymore.
It works back when I reboot the phone for about 1 or 2 hours, sometimes less, then it stops working. Either I don't receive sms or I receive them one or two days later. I tried to change the default sms app but it didn't change, also tried to force the SMSC with my operators number without more results... I tried to change the SIM card from sim1 to sim2 with the same result. On another phone (Blackview on android) it works fine. Something weird is that mobile datas work fine most of the time even when I can't send/receive sms or phone calls, but sometimes are also bugged.
Also when the network doesn't work anymore, accessing networks settings just freeze and quit the settings app.
EDIT : When I try to call myself from another phone, it rings normally and goes to voicemail. Nothing happens on my LOS phone. Also, when network is bugged, when I try to call someone it doesn't ring, stays on the call screen. When I hang up its stuck on "hang up", the microphone stays activated and I can't stop it even by forcing the phone app to close. It finally stop after 30 seconds to 1 minute.
I searched through XDA and other forums, none of the solutions I found worked.
I guess I'll wait for the next update or, if it doesn't change anything I'll probably flash a previous rom.
Does someone knows what to do with it ?
Many thanks in advance
I hope it's understandable, I'm not native english. I'll edit the post or give more infos if needed.

My phone has stopped sending SMS messages. I can type them, with a recipient, but when I hit send, nothing happens. My SIM has not had SMS outgoing turned off, so it is a setting or code within the Dash.
I am running Unlocked Tmo WM6 on Rogers Wireless in Canada.
There must be a setting? Help!
Thanks...
When was the last time you had a successful sms sent out? Have you altered any settings recently? If not, I'd call Rogers and make sure they didn't disable sms from your account and see if they can help get you back up and running!
I had tried resetting a few times, with no change, I eventually fixed it by simply pulling the battery out for 5 minutes...
Thanks!
Searched for a similar problem and I wasn't able to find anything that matches what has been happening to my wife's EVO. Recently I installed CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 as found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143049
I also updated her to the latest radio/PRI/WiMAX/etc. versions when I did this. So that could also be the issue.
It seems that ever since I worked on her phone, she hasn't been able to receive emails, and she can't call or text me. I can't call her either. When she tries to call me, the phone vibrates and she hears the words "Enter the number you wish to dial, then press the pound key." When she enters my number, it says it can't understand. When I try calling her, it just doesn't connect at all and stops trying after about 30 seconds.
We're on the same Sprint family plan and I have an Epic 4G. Her sister, who is also on our family plan with a Samsung Moment, can call her just fine. Far as we can tell, it's only a problem between our two phones. So it might be a Sprint thing. But then again, she's not getting emails either, even though her data works fine for other purposes.
She's at work right now. When she comes home I am going to roll her back to the old radio, WiMAX, PRI, and NV versions (15.00.11.19, 27167 R01, and 1.90.003, respectively). If that doesn't work, I did make a nandroid backup from before I did anything. But her old ROM was kinda buggy (EViO 2, which was okay except it would randomly turn 4G on) and CM7 is supposed to be good.
Hopefully rolling back her radio versions will fix this; if not, is there something else I can do to fix it or prevent it from happening again if I install another ROM?
EDIT: Well, I fixed the email issue. That one was simple and silly - for whatever reason, her Google account was not set to automatically sync email. With that out of the way, I only had to worry about the phone call issue.
Her dad tried to call her several times yesterday and it would go straight to voicemail without her phone ringing. After rolling back her radio version, it seems to be working fine. Time will tell. Now the only issue is that Google Voice has decided to take over as the default SMS app, even though Handcent is set as the default. But that's a subject for a different thread.
Hey guys,
Not sure what happened with my T-Mo SGSII, but my outgoing SMS keep failing to send. I did not do anything to the phone or its software at all.
Everything was working perfectly fine about about 2 hours ago..I got home from work and it just stopped. All other services are working perfectly fine (3G/4G Data, Incoming/Outgoing Calls, even Incoming SMS).
Only Outgoing Text messaging is affected :S
I contacted my service provider (Wind Mobile), whom I actually work for..and they were unable to resolve the issue.
Furthermore, I am no longer able the to access the SMSC Service Menu via the dialpad (*#*#4636#*#*). After entering the code, nothing happens. It does not return an error, nor does it exit the dialpad..nothing.
Is there an alternate way to accessing the Service Menu so I can re-enter the SMSC Code, in case it is incorrect and the reason why the SMS aren't being sent ???
Oh, and, I've also formatted my phone and installed a new ROM (Malice)..tried accessing the menu, still nothing. And texts aren't working either.
Please help!!! I need my texts to be working for work purposes. I appreciate your time.
The same thing happens to me once in a while don't know why. When I send a text it just keeps saying sending, and never sends. I figured out that if I reflash my radio it fixes it. Try that, hope it works for you!

Just for giggles change your APN to internet2.voicestream.com ....
(I Know this should not affect SMS only MMS, but give it a try)
Thanks everyone for your input..
I tried another Sim card to check whether it was my actual device..it's not.
The message center does not have a number assigned, and I am unable to access the settings to manually input the SMSC.
I tried using a different phone to enter the information onto my SIM card, unfortunately that phone is too old and lacks the feature¿
Anyway, I've decided to just get a SIM swap. I work in a Wind Mobile retail store so I can easily swap out the SIM.
I still have one concern though..
Why am I not able to access the service menu via *#*#4636#*#* ???
I tried 2 other SIM cards, one from Wind and the other from Rogers. I was still unable to access that menu :S
I thought it was the ROM so I flashed cm7, as well as malice. Both resulting in the same manner; not working at all. Oh and I also changed the radio twice, and even the kernel..but to no avail.
I really appreciate everyone's time and help...but please help me resolve the issue with accessing that menu as well. (*#*#4636#*#*)
Thanks again.

Hey everyone, I have a couple of questions for you all today.
The first one is about my IMEI, when I dial for the IMEI it shows the IMEI with /2 at the end what does this mean? On the back of the phone it doesn't show the IMEI and in about phone->status it doesn't show the /2 either. So, what does it mean? And if it's bad how can I remove it if it's even possible.
My other question is about Texting/cell network. Basically what is happening in that, sometimes when I send texts, the recipient will receive it twice even though I only sent it once and sometimes I receive the text twice even though the person has only sent it once. Could this be related to the imei problem I previously stated?.
I don't have any extra SMS apps installed, although I did have handcent and GO SMS Pro before, (I set go sms as my default one but now I uninstalled it but I don't know how to make the stock app the default again).
Thanks for your time guys
As for your imei ... thats normal
The first 15 numbers should be the same as behind the phone
Hello, i have a E980 with a Blisspop custom rom, but recetnly it kept crashing, and everytime it did i just reinstalled the same rom using Philz recovery, and then it would work just fine for a while, after trying the Resurrection remix i was able to pin point the source of the crashing to Whatsapp, every time i installed the phone will crash and then be locked on a rebbot and crashing loop on both blisspop and Resurrection remix.
So i went looking for a different rom and tried the "Super Mini V6.5 Port App G4", and that seem to worked fine, whatsapps installed and ran, all my other apps did so aswell, but then noted that all my outgoing calls would just end intermediately with the call ended message, and my text messages would get a errror message and never be sent, but heres the odd part, i can receive phone calls and text messages fine and the 3G also works, also 800 numbers work and so USSD codes do work.
Since then i tried going back to blisspop and resurrection remix, but the same problem persisted, all my calls would end intermediately but incoming calls would work fine, but then whatsapp kept crashing them.
So i looked up in this forum, and all over the internet and i cant seem to pin point my problem, i tried going back to "Super Mini V6.5 Port App G4" so at least can have Whatsapp back, but on the second time i would not get any signal so neither incoming or outgoing calls would work, so im guessing that build is what caused this problem in the first place.
Any idea what could be my problem or possible solutions? ANY contribution would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Tried my chip on another phone(iPhone) and got the same problem, call ended, at this point is pretty clear that the problem is with my provider, so ill go check with them.
thx
