If you unlock your android phone and flash a new ROM after, do you have to unlock again? If so is the code the same or does it change?

How to root the xt1635-3? it's like xt1635-2?
And it is ok to flashing xt1635-2 firmware on xt1635-3, it's gonna brick the phone (xt1635-3)?
It's possible to hard-brick xt1635-3, right?

flash stock with Odin, it will lock the bootloader, the knox fuse is definitely blown - if you do it correctly it should not be an issue.
ofc all the risks are in your hands, because you are doing it

it is the first step - after that you should enter download mode and choose vol up to LOCK the bootloader
it will erase everything on the phone tho
check also here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-re-lock-bootloader-galaxy-s10-s10-s10e.3934681/

if the phone is unlocked, that option is greyed out - but to actual lock the boot loader, flash with odin is required
i did flashy flashy stuff and swapped it to a546u1 from a546u (us carrier unlocked from locked)
should i now have oem unlocking and if i shouldn't on this model, what other model can i flash my phone to gain access to oem unlocking?

U.S. models have no access to OEM unlocking even if it's carrier free

If you have a carrier locked US model there is nothing you can flash in ODIN to unlock the bootloader, as odin packages dont touch the firmware. Best you can do is hope an exploit gets found or return the phone.

Might I ask how you managed to flash a different firmware version? What method did you use to flash the A546U1 firmware?
I ask because from what I understand, the A546U version does not have the option to unlock the bootloader and in order to flash anything at all (including another stock firmware), you must first unlock the bootloader.

You can flash any stock firmware without unlocking the bootloader as long as it's official firmware

And what is the process for doing this?
Flashing another stock firmware, that is?
My objective is to flash an official European version so I can go into dev settings, unlock bootloader, the proceed to flash a custom ROM.

If you're trying to do this on a US variant then it won't work

Do you know the reason behind this?
Because my understanding is that having a locked bootloader is the only thing preventing me from flashing a ROM on my US version (A546U).
What else is preventing me from flashing a stock official firmware on my A656U using the method you're referring to.

Well that's unfortunate. I wonder how the person who made this thread managed to flash the A546U1 firmware on a phone that was originally A546U.

Odin does allow that for some reason since they're both U.S. firmware
