I need unpack the .img system flie to modified apps, and compilate it back. What should I need to do it? Every programs on windows/linux like ext4unpacker or something can't do this ... so can anyone help me? I have build custom rom based on stock G3 V20F.
So, I came over from a Nexus 5x. We had to flash vendor files seperately. My question is, with custom Roms/stock roms is the vendor file included? I'm assuming it is as i can't seem to find the vendor file on its own.
Hey guys, I can't seem to edit any files in /system/vendor/etc in the latest MIUI 10 Rom. I have busybox installed from Magisk and have granted system RW access. Keep in mind, I can delete other files in /system, just not the ones in that particular folder. I can't even edit the files with Magisk! Weirdest part is, TWRP let's me delete the files, but as soon as I boot up the OS they're still there!! What tf is up?!?!?!??

Vendor partition access is blocked by system I guess.
I wanted to update to the latest version of xiaomi.eu, which is no longer for fastboot, but for recovery. At first internal storage had (0mb), I changed it to EXT4, but still the problem is no visibility/ability to install the latest ROM copied to the phone, what to do?
I download the rom with the phone, reboot with TWRP-3.6.2, install, zip archive anb install, after select system an reboot
I cant do antything in TWRP because TWRP doesnt see ROM copied on storage.. All tutorials say "just go into twrp and install the copied rom", I don't see the copied ROM!
You have to look in a sub folder it will no show at root directory can't remember off hand might be data or meta something like that, after the OTA updater works great
Useing the Skkk latest TWRP by default it was in Chinese

2. wipe+factory
3. boot system

5. boot twrp
6. install
Hi so I wanted to change the bootanimation on my A5 2017 running Lineage OS 20 but I don't where where to place the bootanimation.bin file
Thanks.
Usually it's in /system/product/media/ (or /system_root/system/product/media/).
Apart from that the bootanimation on AOSP ROMs is usually a plain zip with pictures in it, so a ".bin" file wouldn't work.
But the System root folder is empty and in the System folder is only the folder "usr"

Well, you first have to mount the system partition using the "Mount" menu.
