Custom Rom for Sony XZ2 Compact SO-05K - Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact Questions & Answers

I have searched all over the internet and i couldn't find any custom rom for this japanese model SO-05K Sony XZ2 Compact. So I have few questions to regarding this.
1) Is there any hardware restrictions within the device that restricts modding?
1.1-If answer is "No", then why no one is making any Mod?
2) Can we install Global Firmware H8314 in SO-05K, followed by flashing custom roms? any successfull tries in this case please reply.. Kindly Dont spam this thread with failure attempts.
3) If there is no restriction in creating custom rom, is there any Developers out there to help us in this regard?
4) Is there any option/mod/patch/rom anything to use gestures instead of onscreen buttons (almost 8% of the tiny display is covered with onscreen button). This amazing SD845 device is cursed with onscreen button.
Here across my country the refurbished market is filled with this Japanese SO-05K (sim unlocked, bootloader unlock allowed: No)
Note : i have personally unlocked my bootloader

[Q] Japan Arc no unlock key screen

I had bought a Japan ARC [SO-01], unfortunately, I bought it b4 1 April, so i cannot get unlocked by docomo and also I'm not in japan now...
I think the unlock code from some provider also work but the problem is that, my phone will not prompt any unlock key insert screen, please help :"(
All Docomo phones sold before and after April 1st still come carrier-locked. The only difference is that starting April 1st, you can now take your handset into Docomo, pay ¥3150, and get your phone unlocked -- even if you bought your phone before April 1st.
You will have to go into a Docomo store, however. If your phone is still carrier-locked (to Docomo), your best shot is to find someone in Japan who can do it for you. Perhaps you can contact the seller and arrange the unlock for some fee.

thanks for confirming this info , i have ordered a docomo xperia arc so that i can use it in the usa , but people have been doubting that it can be unlocked because it was released on March 24th.
the Lt15a(America version) and the Docomo SO-01c are hte same and that is why i ordered from japan
this website has the unlock for xperia arc
http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-x12-unlock-codes-p-3329.html
Although they say "They can do" but actually they cannot do, because nobody can find entry screen for unlock code. I bought UNLOCK code from them but cannot do this.

Can you unlock the japanese xperia arc ?
its the Docomo SO-01c
Basically Docomo says this model cannot be UNLOCKED and this has to keep specified ROM.
But finally I could UNLOCK by flashing global ROM and after completing ROM flashing, unlock screen appeared. Therefore I could enter unlock code successfully!
But the key thing is that this cannot be returned to original ROM which is provided from Docomo, so now this is UK or Chinese (HKG) version (LT-15i).
And slightly Japanese font is different from original font style, probably this is Chinese KANJI, I guess.
You can return it to DoCoMo firmware. You just need somebody to update their DoCoMo arc and send you the firmware files.

Sure, the box says exactly this: "GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSPA Bands 1/2/5/6" The UMTS/HSPA bands are 2100/1900/850/800.
You need someone with DoCoMo firmware to update their phone. If they then pack the 'db' folder from SEUS and upload it, I will be able to make an .ftf file for flashtool.

Hi,
Usually I am in Japan but this month I have to stay in France. If I get a Xperia arc european version here and then take it to Japan with me.
Will it be possible to use it in Japan? Does the european version support the japanese network?
Will it be possible to flash the docomo firmware to use sp mode?
Thanks

No, you can not get the European version, the LT15i, for use on DoCoMo. I'm unsure of Softbank.
Arg. Too bad. Thanks for the quick reply.

I think that any japan arc, could be flashed anywhere with an european version software (ie: unlocked LT15i flash rom). The phone will result with the european firmware, but it will support american and japanese networks.
I did that with my C905, its model is "C905a", but I flashed it whit the C905i firmware because of different spanish text from Europa. I use 3G in chile with no prob.
SO, can't this be done to a Japanese Xperia arc?

[Q] Questions about Bootloader unlocking for my Arc

Hi there
I recently purchase a Xperia Arc from Bouygues Telecom in France.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using Sony Ericsson method at unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com
But when i type *#*#7378423#*#* to show configuration it says "Bootloader unlock allowed : No "
So it looks like i'm a little stuck.
Do i need seTools ?
Do you think this works : phoneunlockserver.com/product_info.php/products_id/1684
Does this thread really works ?:
se-board.com/index.php/topic/2023-paid-xperia-2011-bootloader-unlock-here
Sorry for the links but Xda doesn't want me to post them as Url cause they consider me as being a newbie ....
Anyway , I have no problem paying for this phone to be unlocked. Actually Bouygues Telecom ROM has some limitations comparing to the stock one i think ( some apps are not available on the market like Google Music for example).
I just want to know what is the best and most secure method
Thank you

[Q] Cannot unlock gt-n7100 for different carrier

Hi there,
I have purchased a Note II GT-N7100 in the philippines and it's locked to Smart mobile.
I have tried downgrading to version 4.1.1 firmware and attempting the *#197326840# code but that doesn't have the menu's as shown in other threads.
I have also tried the galaxy sim unlock app in playstore but that has a message of:
"Device updated to a new lock systemnot supported yet."
and a note on the webpage
"* Please note that due to different hardware, many LTE/4G devices aren’t supported yet. On some SGS3, SGS4 and Note2, a recent rom update brings a new lock system that can't be unlocked yet. Don't leave bad feedback, we’re working on it, but that’s a complex process that requires time and access to locked devices! *"
Does anyone know of any way to unlock these devices for different carriers as I want to switch to another provider...
Thanks in advance for any help

locked bootloader no custom rom.using twrp. only h811-and some h815 from europe.
H818P bootloader can be unlocked using the Official Bootloader Unlock service - https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev.
There may be two options for unofficially unlocking a H818N bootloader, in order to then flash a Custom ROM
See the follow threads regarding different approaches.
UsU - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unlock-unofficial-g4-unlock-any-lg-g4-device-with-usu.3760451/

The problem here is that you do not know what you're talking about with regards to the 'two options' you mention.
The first option, 'UsU, if you'd bother to read the thread, you would have noted that while the bootloader can be 'unlocked' using this method, it results in the loss of the screen touch function (on the H818, only) rendering the phone useless other than for that of a conversation paperweight.
The second option, if you'd bothered to read the last post in the thread, was shut down by the moderator and was under investigation. In other words, a pile of crap for the hungry gullible.
Suggest you start reading thoroughly and learning a lot more before trying to offer suggestions that could brick people's phones.

Vivo X50 Pro+ (V2011A) bootloader unlock?

Dear all,
I recently bought this device (Vivo X50 Pro+ 5G) and discovered that its manufacturer does not allow for bootloaders to be unlocked in general.
I read about the old and dangerous "firehose method", but found no more recent information for unlocking 2020 Vivo phones. The only firmware dump that I found after some relatively long search was this: http://sysupwrdl.vivo.com.cn/upgrad...es/PD2011_A_1.15.5-update-full_1609156967.zip
However, it does not seem to include a fastboot.img, not even allowing to "reverse" a possible unlock command from. Did anyone try anything on this device, or have any clues?
Thank you.
