I keep my playstore apps updated at least once a day and out of the blue yesterday I got like 142 all at the same time. Anyone else experience this? Did Google update something and everyone jump on it or something?
Ok, I'll go first... No I didn't get any unusual mass app updates. Hope this helps

Any version of 3.x Markets seem to have a built in updater. So even though they are themed it will update. If you think 3.1.5 may be around for awhile then have someone theme it black and it will stick. The other option is to find an old 2.x black market and install that, then you can freeze market updater to keep it.
Wow..thanks guys..i guess it was fun while it lasted...so i can unfreeze everything..its not gonna change anything either way huh?

Unfortunately not. Drove me crazy for 3 days before I gave up and accepted the new market. Resistance is futile!
Here is the link in themes which claims to keep it from updating but it takes a bunch of reboots to get it to take, plus there are some themed 3.1.5 markets in this thread:

I am concerned. I woke this morning to find a new shortcut on one of my screens for Handango Lite Mobile Store. I did not put it there, nor have I ever been to that website.
I am currently running Calkulin's E4GT v1.0 Beta 3
Am hoping that someone has had a similar issue that can set my mind at ease and tell me how this happened.
Hi,
I am looking for the same answer you are. I have the Nexus S and it is not rooted and I had the same icon on one of my screens.
This is continually happening and i am hoping that someone will have an answer. This thread has been open for several weeks with no hint of an answer coming. Can anyone tell me how handango just randomly applies a shortcut to my homescreen? I dont want it to happen, and it smells of malware.. IE: some program applying changes to your OS without your permission in order to elicit a response from you inadvertently.
It's probably because of an app you have installed. Download air push detector from the market to check if you have Apps that are responsible for that.

Thanks for your suggestion. I completely wiped the phone and installed Calkulin's latest update. I am running minimal apps right now to see if it happens again. I downloaded that app and it had not found anything, so that is good. Thanks again.
Hey guys,
Just got my N7 on Friday. Have it rooted and applied the "True Tablet" patch without having to change DPI http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780970&page=5
I don't know if this is before or after, but many games/apps my buddy has available, I do not. I can't find the app in the play store from the device and when I look at it from a browser, it says it's not compatible with my N7.
Anyone know what could cause this, if the patch does cause it? I tried searching for someone else having this issue and found nothing.
thanks,
Derek
I saw all sorts of pretty icons when I loaded the Bleu Mynt Rom and the newest gapps. However they disappeared and went back to regular icons at some point. I speculate that its because I didn't register my market helper and Google Play was "seeing" my Evo still. So... I finally I once again started over with a fresh ROM and this time I registered my market helper so that my phone is seen as a Galaxy S3. So far the pretty Icons are still here. Can anyone verify this theory for me? If it isn't the problem then maybe someone can shed some light. Please and Thank you.
Screenshot? Not sure what you mean.
Not sure if it is a coincidence or not, but ever since I upgraded to 10.5, my app drawer has been a mess. It is displaying a bunch of apps in keys that I've never been shown before, IE the Carrier services app, the titanium pro version app, etcetera. These are all things that launchers have kept hidden in the past. Any idea what is causing them to display in the app drawer now? Not a big deal just very irritating to have it so cluttered all of a sudden
I've had the same since I got the phone on 10.0.3. No idea why. As you say it's not a big deal but I'd like to know. I wonder if these apps need to be updated for something different in Android 10.

yeah, good point. It may have to do with the afternoon to be updated. Either way it's just a nuisance, I guess that is what we get for being early adopters
Anyone figure out a way to get around this?
