Hi there,
i have a Desire Z from 2011 with some pictures on it i would like to backup.
Unfortunately i tried to unlock the phone too often with the wrong unlock pattern and now i have to enter google account information to unlock it. Unfortunately the google account is from 2010 and i don't have the name, the recovery adress - nothing.
It is S-ON and i wondered if it would be possible to root it to delete the unlock pattern information. As i can't unlock the phone i can't enable usb debugging.
So
1) It is somehow possible to get new tries for the unlock pattern (i think i have an idea what it was)?
2) Is it somehow possible to root the phone in this state?
Thanks

How would one go about opening a phone that is locked whilst the password is forgotten?
My friend tried to uninstall Kaspersky from his Xperia Arc S, and now he can't access his phone because it keeps asking him for a security code.
If I'll need to root and Flash a stock ROM back in, can someone list the basic steps? Sony's tutorial for unlocking bootloaders requires me navigating to my phone's setting and dialing codes, which obviously can't be done.
R: Forgotten Security Code [Possibly need to flash a ROM]

Hello,
I got At&t sony xperia play r800at phone few months earlier. It was unlocked and i used it with my network provider with no problem. Unfortunately i have added a pattern lock and forgot the pattern.
It was connected with my gmail account which i was using earlier and i do not remember the password either.
So i have no way to remove the lock. I read that master reset will wipe the lock pattern and tried to do a master reset by going to the bootloader menu. But phone does not allow me to go there.:crying:
Please help me to solve my problem.

When you say "unlocked" does it means network unlocked or bootloader unlocked?
Use PC companion to flash stock firmware if your bootloader is locked
Use Emma software to flash stock firmware if your bootloader is unlocked
Or use Flashtool to flash stock firmware (you can find it at Xperia Play Index - ROM'S, FIRMWARE, KERNEL'S, GUIDE'S, THEMES, MOD'S - second post)
It will reset all settings and apps. If you can't recall your gmail password, just open new gmail account

Well, try to download again the unlock key from HTC dev and follow again instructions... Anyway, i was pretty sure that there was an option to unlock the device with Google password In case of forgetting unlock path (assuming that a Google account is set on the device)
I upgraded to MM v20c and had a pattern unlock set - since then I can no longer unlock. I even went to Android Device Manager and set a code lock - but still can't unlock. I have some important info on the device and do not want to reset the system. Is there any way to do it?
Just to add - I do have access to my gmail, so if there is a way to reset the lock screen do let me know.
Using ADM I can again "lock" the device but dont get a prompt to enter the code. I can also make my phone call another number - but there seems np way to unlock it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: There is no option to enter the code from ADM anywhere.
EDIT 2: I can use adb

I am not rooted
Hi guys.
I was adding face unclocking and I've also set up a new PIN code. Everything was working great until the periodic prompt with need to enter a PIN. Unfortunately I don't remember it and I've got a big problem right now. Is there a way to reset the PIN code somehow? My phone is OnePlus 7t with root and unlocked bootloader. I don't know if it helps but my biometric uncloking methods should also work (fingerprint and face). I just need to pass that prompt for PIN and then reset it somehow. I've access to all Google accounts logged in the phone, but I don't see the option to reset the PIN code on www.google.com/android/find.
Is there any hope for me?
Best regards,
Tom.
Format data in recovery should remove lock screen pin--not Google password

Do you have TWRP custom recovery? If not, you need to install TWRP then use TWRP to delete your lock settings.
Unfortunately google has discontinued that unlock feature.
deleting locksettings.db works only on devices encrypted with default_password. For OnePlus 7t it will destroy encrypted data, because encryption keys cannot retrieved without login credentials.
