Ok.. this ROM has served me more than great,
I get extra high performance and 5-6 hours SOT with at least 1-2 hours of 3D gaming.

Microphone in speakerphone mode
Can someone confirm that the microphone works in speakerphone mode in Skype and Viber? It was not working in the last version of CosmicOS from Zukfans.eu

I installed the ROM and it's great.
As i'm one of the first noobs that installed the ROM, here's my first impressions (coming from the previous build and having tried many ROMs both MM and nougat)
I dirty flashed as i was coming from the previous build.
Pixel launcer is quite beautiful and running smoothly.
Everything works great! There are no crashes and no delays.
There's no chromo preinstalled which wasn't working for me
(The app went on a fc loop, i don't really care why as i wouldn't use it anyway )
With everything up and running (viber, what's up, es file explorer, and games on the background) i got 130k on antutu.
Battery life is great as it was on the previous build. No drainage neither while using nor on sleep. (There were sometimes that doze wasn't working properly in the previous build and it was fixed by rebooting, i haven't seen it yet on this build
Viber on speaker, still microphone doesn't work.
I have a yellow tint on my colours, bug that wasn't present on the previous version.(night feature disabled) I had this bug on mokee 6, it was fixed by a kernel zip.
Any quick fix?

No long touch > previous cosmic supports that.
Chromium can not be used.

just want to confirm.
i heard that if using non zui rom, we can flash directly but from 2.3 to 2.5 , we need to flash also the baseband and other things?
Using 2.3 rom now, need to make sure i won't brick my phone.

I love this ROM, everything is super smooth, but the fingerprint scanner is very buggy with it. It seems like its not even on, when I put my finger on it I don't even get a vibration.

I didn't get any fingerprint buggs. In fact for me this rom has one of the best fingerprint recognitions i have encountered.

That's bizarre, because I tried going back to stock and then flashing cosmic again and it still didn't work properly. Back on citrus and everything is fine.
What baseband are you on?

I never bothered with my baseband as i never had any problems with the ROMs i used. I looked at it before answering and it's this one:

I am now running the 20/3 version of cosmic until the yellow tint is confirmed fixed. In the version i'm running, my fingerprint doesn't get recognized aprox once every 20 times and it needs 0,5sec to work.
In the 06/5 version (which I tested) the fingerprint was working faster and better than that.

Flashed 21/7/2017 build. With open gapps.
Short review.
I already had wrote about my experience on this Rom so will not bore u more guys
*Smooth+stable+fluid +no lags+snappy
*All customizations been provided like other latest roms have.
Note: Substratum theme engine is not pre installed.
*You get two themes by default
1st Light nd 2nd is Dark.i loved Dark black theme.
* Volte is working without any issues.
* No fc in any app except music equalizer .Its not working(report if anyone got working).
Dev plz fix this "Equalizer issue"
* Battery .i got 4hr SOT which is good but not the best.Hope we will see more battery improvements in next builds.
Conclusion : No doubt Viper has very strong venom to feel in our vein. As i told ago this rom is in my Top 5 list till now nd can be used as Daily driver.my

Anyone having issues with video playback on social media apps? Instagram Stories and video posts don't play for me, ans sometimes when I'm watching a video post on Facebook the phone reboots.

On Instagram it works fine but on Facebook my phone also reboots. I have a z00t

When iam using mobile data google ads are poping even on home screen.... Using nova launcher prime
My device z00l 2gb ram varient

Video is working fine in my zool device. Only problem I faced was phone doesn't respond when the call is over. Call end button won't response at all . I have to click switch off button on/off and then end the call another 10 sec wasted on this.

Sot

Sensor is not working , when incoming call comes screen won't wake up at all.. Same happens while ending the call screen won't response or awake and it difficult to cut the call..

Lots of tweaks is present in this rom
Overall ,i found this rom a pretty good standard rom which can be converted from unofficial to official

It is non treble. So flash it as you do any non treble roms.

Bugs noticed:
1. Stock equaliser app fc
2. In Stock camera the front camera resoultion is maximum only upto 720p but our device supports 1080p
Also this limitation is present in gcam any version will limit the front cam resolution to 720p.
3. Stock camera video recording is dark also in properly lit environment exposure seems to be less.
Rom is smooth and stable af great work dev
Pls add some more fonts in font manager like samsung fonts and usb tethering qs tile as it is convenient to enable from notification panel

After 3 days, rom is stable and bugless for my use. I just find the animations to be choppy (f. ie when you open settings) and battery draining a bit too fast while browsing. Great work, and good to see 3.18 pie rom up to date

Then you should apply for official maintenance.
It turns out that you are the developer of du13. Du13 is very good, but unfortunately stopped maintenance. Ask, will this rom update the 4.4.X kernel?

Firstly thanks for caf ROM and also thanks for keeping NXP and 3gb ram fix.Hope we see features in upcoming updates. I hope it will be best ROM for our device in terms of performance and battery backup.
Some bug I found as of now.
1.fingerprint option is missing
2.chromium crash while playing video on it
3.music stop for a second while playing on music player.
4.network icon is unstable

Built-in. No need to flash seperately. It's just a suggestion that if you want to change kernel then use EAS for better performance.

Been having a few issues so I thought I report it, Night Light settings don't seem functional, the screen doesn't turn amber but stays the same even when it's turned on and for some reason whenever i recieve a phone call the phone turns on but I only see a black screen with a padlock on it instead of the screen to answer or decline a call, it works beautifully otherwise.

I noticed a few more things after using it for a couple of days now, notifications turn the screen on but instead of showing the notification it shows a black screen with a padlock on it, I did enable fingerprint security but I think it should still show the notification alert instead of the black screen.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or how android 10 is designed but the lock screen doesn't have a tint to it so it's hard to see the time if the wallpaper is colorful and not black.
Also I thought I mention but the option to enable signature spoofing isn't in settings, can you add it? It's possible to enable it with smali patcher but it's more conveient if it was in settings instead.
I'm not sure if this can be added so feel free to ignore this one but is there a possiblity of adding face unlock? I saw other caf roms have it and was wondering if there was a chance of adding it.

Hello, very good rom! I have it installed since Friday, until then I noticed 3 problems half annoying:
1)Chrome based browsers (brave, edge, chrome) freeze after a few minutes when using it, the "brave has stopped" sign pops up. I haven't tested firefox yet.
2) The battery (with average use) lasts at least 4 to 6 hours, note that it has a high consumption.
3) The other people hear me very low when I talk to them in a call through the microphone.
Anyway, very good rom! thank you very much!

I have maple single, and Chromium browsers freeze too. But the videos or gifs would play continuously, it just looks like can’t response the input.

i checked that today, i flashed the rom again from zero, tried chrome but it freezes. Then i updated webview and nothing changed. Also when i restart the phone i get a message that says: "something is wrong with the phone, please contact your manufacturer" or something like that

reboot TWRP recovery...format data -> yes
then reboot
and once again never ever update Android system webview!
I'm also using this ROM and it's working fine.
chrome app is normal too
