ROM installation updating super partition failed - Paranoid Android Q&A

I was installing Paranoid Android Sapphire Alpha 3 no my OnePlus 8 (instantnoodle) and faced and issue that says 'Old partitions are not compatible with the new super layout; wipe needed'. Does anyone came across such a problem before and knows what to do with it?

Did you ever find an answer to this?? I'm now getting same error on Pixel 3a
Thanks

[Q] Android Game Issue

I'm facing a black screen in NFS Most wanted 2012. Its like i can see only red cars light and UI (User Interface) other than everything is black.
I have used both:
1. Andromadus Jelly Belly Beta 1 [JB4.1][CM10+]
2. [ICS|CM9] CyanogenMod 9.1.0 - 3.x Kernel - Final [Unofficial]
Both having same problem, can anyone guide me what is it about? Is it kernel/drivers problem.
How to fix?
I wish a good developer can answer that..! and help me fix it...!
You attempted two different ROMs, both of which failed to yield satisfactory results. I presume it may be due to missing game data, although this is only my presumption.

[Q] MildWild 5.0 Update Oct. 7, 2013

Does anyone have problems after updating the ROM (Oct. 7, 2013)?
It seems the SD-EXT became undetected (disable) after I updated it.
Does anyone know how to solve it?
Thanks.
(Note: I can't post in the Development forum, so I ask the question here.)

Mildwild has given us the original Apps2SD in which you can download and flash. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2312173&d=1381291917
Should work!
Which recovery are you using? If you have 4EXT you can check the partition alignment to make sure there are no issues there.

Problems with Lineage OS

Hi, I'm not sure if it's the right section where to post such a thread but I didn't found a better one for my problem.
I flashed lineage-14.1-20170213-nightly-find7s-signed.zip on my rooted Find 7 (2k version so Find 7s) with TWRP following all the standard steps (full wipe, ROM and gapps install, wipe cache/dalvik and than reboot).
Than when the ROM flash was finished (it took not as much as I thought) I rebooted and my screen become white with a grey OPPO logo in the middle and purple "powered by android" at the bottom (the usual power up screen but with inverted colors) and when I touch the screen it makes quick flashes with flashing black horizontal lines and it keeps being stuck in that way for minutes (way too much and it keeps doing that also after many reboots). The only way to recover the phone is to flash again Color OS (Android 5.0).
So i was wondering what's the problem with that ROM? How can i upgrade my old Android 5.0 to a newer 6.x or 7.x? Is there any rock solid ROM compatible with my F7s that I can flas with no such problems ?
Thankyou all for help!
OmniROM 6 is a mature and solid daily driver with the option to try OmniROM 7 which is still being improved regularly. Arguably the best ROM for Find 7.

It also has LVM support which allows you to merge your partitions so you will have more than 3gb of space for apps.
I've been running it for months, there are a few things that I miss from previous roms but is very stable and since this phone is getting old the ROM choices are getting slim. It's also the only one I can find that still supports LVM.

Thankyou both for helping me I found a list of omnirom ROMs in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/find-7/orig-development/omni-testbuilds-7a-7s-t3237065 , can i choose one of the last 6.0.1 to be sure it will work or can I trust the 7.1.1 updates?
You can trust both! And im not a hyper flashholic....
Just another few questions, LVM means that i can unify partitions in order to have more than 3 GB on device memory, right? I found that thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55187001&postcount=558 is it better to use the .iso or the .zip to apply LVM? And when do I have to apply the LVM setup, before or after flashing the new ROM/Gapps?
Thanks again

Flash the setuplvm zip file in twrp BEFORE flashing ROM and gapps
Guys, thanks to all of you! Really, you all made my day with all your advices
With past ROMs i was desperate because none of them worked but now i got rooted android 7.1.1 with merged partitions on my dear Find 7 so thanks again for helping me!

Reviving an old Friend, Custom Rom Problems

Hi Guys/Girl
so iv been a fan of the Xperia projects and tinkering out there for the Sony Xperia S models
and i have tried bunch of them.
the problem i have been facing is something i cant find anywhere so i was wondering if anyone could help me or shine a light on whats wrong with my lil Hardware that could
The problem:
after i jumped from 5.1 android to 6.0 i had to partition it and do a bunch of stuff i don't fully understand (basically following a guide blindly ) and wallah i got marshmallow running on my phone, but i started noticing some bugs which is normal i suppose giving the circumstances that im using Custom Roms, so i sorta gave up on it for a bit , now iv been tinkering with it again and it seems no matter what Rom i use or what android versions.
it always gives me error messages if i don't have gapps installed i get:
masquerade has stopped
- with gapps -
nothing google related will work and i get
google services has stopped
does anyone have any clue what could be at fault
my sneeky suspicion is that it has something to do with when i was partitioning it
from a huge fan
Palli
Btw: sorry if my English isn't 100% :silly:
I have the same issue too
I hope to find a solution

Touch screen issue after update

Hey guys, I'm one of the people suffering with the touch screen bug after the latest update. I haven't found any resolutions so far in any of the other forums. Does anyone here found a resolution to the touch screen software bug other then restarting the device constantly ?
I was also thinking to downgrade the OS version but I havent found any guides...
You can't downgrade Xiaomi devices.
But maybe resetting the device may solve it? If not then flash the ROM manually or flash a custom ROM.
Hi, thanks for the reply. This bug has been documented very well and from the users who have tested it I understand resetting device to factory settings does not solve the issue. the version is where this bug has been introduced is MIUI 12.1.2
Do we have anyone who can point me to the original ROM the device comes with ? and possibly a flash guide, I would be very grateful?

If resetting doesn't solve it then flash a different ROM. Again, you can't flash older version of MIUI or you will hard-brick your device.
As for guides you can find plenty here on the forums or from the internet, search it up.
Goodluck.
Xiaomi admits that there are some touch screen issues on Mi 10T series https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-11-ultra-touch-response-problems/amp/ and is working on a fix.
