[UPDATE 08 Feb 2023]
- I am using official linux kernel Linux-6.1.10
- Preview images are available for download xiaomi-nabu-pmos-preview.6.1.10.tar.gz
- The GUI user/pass are the standard PMOS ones
user: user
pass: 147147
- Use the info from this thread about how to resize your internal storage and flash preview images
Resize internal storage on Xiaomi Pad 5 (nabu) and install PostmarketOS Preview
- Latest stable mainline kernel 6.1.10 for xiaomi pad 5 (nabu) patches are now available (include defconfig), check release section.
Touch pad takes 80 seconds to initialize at boot time, you may need to wait for it.
Battery status does not work yet, i have placed a bash app that can collect battery status from dmesg, you have a shortcut on desktop, do not keep the app open, will drain battery.

[UPDATE 23 Jan 2023]
- XDA staff is pushing me to provide kernel source waving the linux kernel's GPL OpenSource license.
I am using the latest stable linux kernel which can be found here linux-6.1.7.tar.xz
- I am using as well some mods made by others which are put together by map220v and this kernel may be found here sm8150-mainline
- As anyone may know kernel modules/drivers can be closed source and my kernel modules will remain as such until i decide that i am ready to make them OpenSource.
JUST TO BE NOTED, I DIDN'T PROVIDED YET ANY ROM OR BINARY KERNEL, SO I AM NOT BOUND TO ANY GPL
[UPDATE 20 Jan 2023]
- Mainlined to the latest kernel 6.2-rc4
- Created the HowTo Resize internal storage on Xiaomi Pad 5 (nabu) and install PostmarketOS Preview
- Preparing the preview images, please check https://github.com/serdeliuk/xiaomi-nabu-postmarketos
[UPDATE 17 Dec 2022]
- Fixed battery charging, now battery is charging as well, on slow speed.
Yet the battery indicator still do not work properly
[UPDATE 22 Oct 2022]
- finally working battery status

Hi, as far as i can see, no, ChromeOS is not open-source, there is a ChromiumOS project that is open-source which is similar with ChromeOS, someone may try to port it.
Awesome! I would love to see it working!
Are you using mainline Linux or the device kernel?
Good luck

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time.

Shawn... You should better focus in your other ROMs that you manage, and better dont make any promises like that you will upload another built today. You are a good developer. And hope to see more updates

Please go through the ROM build up process in your mind, if you know how a ROM is built.
With that in mind, don't Tell a Developer what they should and what they shouldn't do, because, what users see is the end result that's it. Debugging ROM's, when sources are buggy is time consuming. And these new ROM's bring new features, the features aren't just lying in AOSP.
Respect Development and Developer's and most importantly have patience.
Guys, if you think a ROM is not complete, but the dev is no longer maintaining it, you have only one choice left: complete it yourself. The developers have no obligation to you whatsoever. Remember, you're not paying them (and donations do not count as payment, it only shows that you value the dev's work).
That being said:
---> thread cleaned
Let's move on, please

Hello,
I did the same fastboot commands and fingerprint start working, but actually now I'm facing another issue, my screen doesn't turn on for a while, when I received any notifications while the screen is locked. However, it works fine when the screen is just turned off, but not locked.

Great rom, been using the 20-Jul build for a week now and it works flawlessly.. only had trouble with the fingerprint sensor, at first it was completely missing, but got it back and working by flashing MIUI8 before flashing this rom.. it seems that it needs some files from MIUI so avoid wiping system, although this may be fixed already in new builds, I can't say..
Anyway great rom great work, updating to latest build.. thanks again developers and builder!

I feel that the picture quality is the same. Actually I kind of prefer the cm camera app since it has more options and is easier to configure. I experienced some lag on one of the builds but it seems to be fixed now.
The reason why the difference is massive on Sony phones is because of the bravia engine which is proprietary and cannot be integrated into CM or AOSP. This should not be an issue on the Mi 5.

Hi guys, we're posting this message today to talk about RevengeOS. We want to talk about the developers of our project.
There are just three developers that hard-worked every day for you, to deliver optimization, exclusive RevengeUI, media controller, etc. We want to make this project more and more exclusive, and we want to improve everything. And lastly, we want their users to be happy while using it. But there is a problem, three developers can't do much. So, we're here to ask if you - if you're a developer, and if you want to join us, you may do so. We have the following requirements:
Knowledge of Android and Java
Desire to be innovative

ProtonAOSPAndroid 12 ROM for Pixel 2 XL - Maintained by @EnesSastim
Spoiler: SPECIAL THANKS TO
@Lunarixus on XDA (using his device tree, mentorship, and fixes. Wonderful work)
@RealOkabe on XDA for his build process, we only reached bootable state thanks to his work.
@ReallySnow on XDA for his work on Android 12 vendor. I consider him my teacher, and most of the Android 12 heavy lifting was done by him.
None of this would've happened without them.
ProtonAOSP is a minimal Android fork (custom ROM) focused on UI/UX and performance, with a touch of privacy.
Screenshots are attached.

Edit: thanks to the people that have donated. For the sake of transparency, I'm gonna publicise the donations i've received. a pixel 2xl where i live costs 200 dollars. I'm gonna be putting a counter here.
Edit 2: pls don't donate to me anymore.
$200/200 (100% progress)
After repartitioning the phone to 4GB, this flashed successfully and works pretty well! Gonna keep messing around with it and see if I encounter any issues, but so far, it's working really well.
Awesome job!
Does it have lockscreen album art of it don't I'm not installing lol
09/nov/2021: New build coming soon.
Changelog -Vanilla + Gapps version
Won't require repartition.
EDIT: It's up!

Are you serious? You're getting the rom for free. Also Google has stopped lockscreen album art since Android 11

Is vanilla build better or the build you've already uploaded? Which one has all the Pixel goodies?

the build i already uploaded has a lot of pixel stuff. though it will only flash if you repartitioned your device according to my guide (linked in the second post).
the upcoming build will be flashable by everyone. it'll still have the pixel specific stuff like launcher and animated wallpapers, just slightly debloated!
also a vanilla build is coming alongside it for those that want to run without gapps.

i mean... i dont think any rom beyond android 10 supports that. might be mistaken. if it's possible, i'll add it.
Is it safe/possible to install 'GApps' version without repartition process?
Can you update to this from ProtonAOSP 11?

I mean, try? If it doesn't work it will say "unsufficient storage" and abort. Not gonna brick your device.
Excellent work, Dollscythe! Just a note- might be worth it to also credit kdrag0n for creating ProtonAOSP and the subsequent theme engine v12 uses?

Any news about this rom on walleye?
Thank you!!
Yes waiting for the walleye support
Hello, many thanks for this works, unfortunatly i missed the link.
2 questions, can you send me link to donate for the walleye developpement of this proton aosp unofficial rom ?
Also, is this would work with locked bootloader ? or does not making sens with the configuration of vendor from 11 etc...
Also if u have another test build could you provide it.
Thanks.

Currently the ROM is in in unknown state @Dollscythe is trying their best to fix it so no links are currently available as the ROM wasn't currently usable and and no nothing is flashable if your bootloader is locked for anything to be flashable your bootloader must be able to be unlocked or set in unlocked mode otherwise the device is unflashable and to donate to them its PayPal and the link

I wouldn't recommend re-locking it but I know on the original you could but I would wait until @Dollscythe finishes up if they get the chance as things happen and they are supporting a phone they don't have so time is needed give them a few days hopefully they get a chance and they can answer better then I can as they are building it

Ok many thanks, no rush at all really, this would be perfect to have at least one stable build with this feature and the classics proton aosp options (more option on the permission manager, the press squeeze, and other things). after all (to me) all will be good.
