I was trying to install a custom recovery with Odin but suddenly the process fail and my tab got stuck on "downloading, don't turn off" after that I tried several times to reconnect to Odin but my PC didn't recognize the device at all, idk what to do. I've already tried with kies, re-install the Samsung drivers, etc. But nothing works. Any advice?

i just got this phone and tried to root it. i installed the kernal using oden and it went over without a hitch... but then after the phone turned off it got stuck at the boot screen with the yellow triangle and wouldnt go any further. after some time i unpluged it and turned it off and on. same thing happened. so i flashed the kernal again. this time when i turn it on it sais "firmware update encountered an issue- connect to keis in recovery mode.
i tried connecting to keis but it sais the device will not respond. i cant enter clockwork recovery mode cuz it just goes to the same error screen. i can only get into oden mode. i have a i9100 mugkg2 on tellus. nothing is working. i also tried using oden to install the stock rom but it fails every time. please help! how can i just get it back to factory
It sounds like you've bricked your phone, have you tried a USB jig to try and reset it yet? Try ebay, look for i9100 usb jig

Install KIES, then use the Unlock Root

Hi teck2100,
If you can get into odin mode (aka download mode) then you're fine. You should be able to flash a stock rom using odin.
Look here for a list of roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 and pick one that you can root using D00ml0rd's method (zergrush), it's the simplest way I've found for root and Mobile Odin is the best app for custom rom's in my opinion.
Good luck and if it helped please use thanks,
Stefan.
I tried to use odin to root my phone but there was an issue and my phone is stuck on a screen that says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please Select recovery mode in Kies and try again." I tried firmware emergency recovery but it always freezes and a different percentages each time. Also, I can not get into download mode. My phone is a samsung galaxy s3 SGH-I747.
Yesterday, I tried updating my firmware version and it said that updating would improve startup stability. When updating reached 90%, it turned off and now when I try turning it on, it shows "Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082" for a second and then turns off, it keeps doing this repeatedly. I've tried pulling my battery out, using odin to flash firmware again, but it fails everytime. It can go into odin mode but not into recovery mode. In odin mode it says something like "firm version eMMC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
PLEASE HELLP.
[Not rooted]
Hey
Connect your phone to your PC and open Kies
Go to Tools> emergency firmware recovery
Or
Follow phone recovery guide in kies
This will help you restore your phone to latest factory version
I have done this several times
Tell me if this helped[emoji3]
Other than being rooted my N7105 was stock before I decided to install CM via the Windows Installer. It failed once so I restarted the device and computer on the programs suggestion. Second time it seemed to be installing fine getting past the installing recovery step before I left the room. On my return it had failed again and suggested I try a different USB port or computer and the install would pick up right where it left off.
Except it hasn't.
The Installer isn't even detecting my device anymore. I'm stuck with a little blue fellow on my screen. Rebooting just brings me back to the same screen and when I remove the battery the phone reboots as soon as I replace it. I can boot into download mode but trying to boot into recovery just brings me back to the blue dude.
I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried using a Toolkit but get stuck at the "Waiting for USB debugging to be turned on" part. I've looked at Heimdall but aren't really sure where to start or if it could even help.
Any suggestions?

try to flash stock ROM using Odin, you might have to try different versions.
Just enter download mode, connect usb and flash
can't flash via odin (even though it says "passed"), can't enter recovery mode, stuck
I got the phone around 2012, rooted it and couldnĀ“t update it for the next years. This month, the samsung note app started to crash repeatly. So I tried a custom rom and I stuck with one. That also had the problem of crashing an app, but deleting it solved it the easy way. Although sometimes my phone restartet when my memory was too full and I tried to execute a new app. Yesterday my phone just crashed and went into bootloop without even touching it and now I have these problems:
-boot loop
-can`t enter recovery mode (it load it up but after the CMW Icon appears, it's going back to the loop
-can`t flash via odin (it says passed though, but from the looks of it nothing changes)
Download mode is possible. I tried stock roms, different bootloaders, different custom roms, samsung kies recovery, holding the battery in different ways, different recovery (even though the logo stays the same), different usb ports, disabled kies, reinstalled kies
Phone "doctor" said the motherboard might be broken, which seems to be a common problem for this phone.
