Question 926b/ds no 5g or hotspot with cricket in america - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3

Any one know a way to fix this?

Is it a factory unlocked device? Or is it one you purchased from cricket? By chance cricket may have to activate it on their system. For a example. I buy factory unlocked Sammy devices. I am on MetroPCS everytime I upgrade I have to go to metro and have them activate the imei on they network before it will work. Not as simple as the old day where you could just hot swap simcards and the phone would reboot suited for that network.....

Verizon Touch Pro2 issues abroad

First off, imho you cannot call a SIM locked phone a 'global phone'. After calling them a few times they finally unlocked it.
My main issue now is that if I delete the Verizon 3G settings and enter in O2's Germany settings for my O2 SIM, they don't take. the next time I open the options, the Verizon ones are back!?
Do I need to just install a non Verizon Vanilla ROM on this phone? It's been such a headache I am thinking about just breaking my contract and selling this phone.

Try installing a non-verizon ROM. After getting my phone SIM unlocked, I got full 3G in Norway with a Telenor SIM. It ought to work.
Who would you sell too though? Can't sell to a GSM user since they would want working 3G, can't sell to a CDMA user since it will be CDMA locked on Sprint and Verizon once the contract is broken.

[Q] Can I use the Sprint S6 on another carrier if I unlock it?

I want to get this phone but might want to switch carriers soon. I was planning on doing the Sprint EasyPay for it and paying off the rest of the phone if or when I decide to switch carriers. After I pay it off in full and unlock it, would I be able to use it on T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon, or any of their MVNO's? Basically what I am asking is does the Sprint S6 support the necessary bands that the other networks operate on, and if so, would calling or texting still work? I have heard of some phones that have a SIM card slot for the LTE SIM on Sprint, but voice and text don't work once unlocked and used on another carrier.
Thanks,
Kyle
I would really like to know the answer to this as well. I have been searching without a definitive result.
Specifically, can unlocked Sprint phone be used on Verizon?

Verizon Note 4 Not Unlocked......

HI
Why cant I use an international sim in my Note 4. I have tried 5 different sims. Its like the phone isn't even trying to search for networks when I put them in.
If I'm not in the USA I cant activate the Phone can I?? I Think this maybe the problem. Its like the phone locks out the Gsm bands until its activated on the Verizon network. Ive tried a dummy Verizon sim but no dice.
Thanks
In advance
You have to call verizon before you travel to different country to unlock the phone. They will do it. I did the same. I traveled to India and used different sim and it worked. But you need to use apn settings from that carrier to make data work on note 4.

Hi even i have the same problem .Verizon should not lock as per their policy but they are doing so.Someone should put a case on them and sue them
The problem is when I was in the States I activated it on the Verizon Network, when I got home to Ireland phone worked fine with International sim.
Last week I did a Factory reset and its asking me to Activate on the Verizon network again and no sim is working, so I'm screwed I cant activate on the Verizon Network.
The thing I find funny is If you look at vn_mobiles root videos he is able to stick in his Vietnamese sim card after a Factory reset and have it work without having to Activate again on the Verizon Network. So am I missing something here?
I hope he can tell me if there is a work around for Activation because it seems to work for him.

vn_mobiles is a scammer.Any solutions? You gave verizon customer care email id? I am sure they will unlock GSM if we give our imei number since locking LTE phones is against their policy.
Unfortunatly I think the problem is it can't be unlocked unless registered on the Verizon network first with an active Verizon Sim (Which it was before factory reset). As Im not in the states any more I can't connect to the network so I can't activate, so its not really unlocked.
My phone never been activated on verizon and have formated the phone many times and gsm works fine with no issue except the lack of band 3 support....
Are good with DFS tool? If so pm me to test a few things that might get your phone working...
Got it sorted thanks guys.
Really strange one. I tried another Verizon sim. Tried activating and of course it wouldn't let me as I'm in Ireland. But as soon as I start sticking my local Sims in they just start working. Going to guard this little Verizon Sim with my life. Lol
They are unlocked but they might be needed to have vzw sim for few seconds. I was in Poland for 2 months and used my now retired note4. Was getting edge,3g,h+

Hello Sir
I actually bought a Samsung Note 4 910v from eBay which was being sold for parts which was not connecting any phone networks...
When I received the phone....it was on lollipop 5.0.1 and tried inserting a Orange Sim card from Mauritius network but It didn't work.
I flashed the note 4 to lollipop 5.1.1 and rooted it but still couldn't get the phone connected to a network...
I checked the phone IMei with Verizon ...it's clean
I read your post....please see image...
Could you help me with dsf tool or run a check of my phone plz...
Awaiting a positive reply from your side.

H815 on Metro pcs?

From everything I read, it seems this phone should work. Used it on Straight talk( with tmobile towers), currently on Cricket with no issues. Tried to switch to metro pcs before, the man at the store put in a metro sim to "test" first, and it recognized the network, but didnt get mobile data he said. Then he told us we just need to buy a metro branded phone. I have tried calling them for help, but all you get is people who basically read from a script. So, will this phone work on Metro PCs or not? It's a factory unlocked H815. Thanks kids!

If it's unlockked, no reason not to work on MetroPCs. I've bought unlocked G5 few months ago, and it works on MetroPCs, as well as European Galaxy A3, also network unlocked.

Can unlocked A50 work with hotspot/data-only T-Mo SIM?

I just picked up a U.S. model unlocked A50, but before I open it I wanted to find out if anyone has successfully used a data-only T-Mobile SIM in theirs. This plan and SIM I have I've been able to move between any unlocked phone or tablet I've tried over the last few years. Works great for what I use it for - a secondary device.
The reason I'm wondering if it works in the A50 is because it did not work in my old unlocked model S9+, I'm guessing because T-Mobile had the IMEI registered in their system as a smartphone and not an unlocked tablet or phone.
Since the A50 is not sold by T-Mobile, I'm hoping I won't have this issue...any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
I'll go ahead and answer my own question in case someone needs this info in the future.
Yes, my data-only SIM works perfectly in the unlocked A50. Once I put the SIM in, the phone rebooted and reconfigured itself for T-Mobile and automatically setup the correct APN. Data and texting worked great, only issue was the APN was not editable and I needed to do this to enable the hotspot.
I manually created an identical APN to the stock one, with the only addition being a ",dun" added to the end of APN type to enable the hotspot feature.
Everything is working great now, very happy with this phone. IMO, this is by far the best phone out there for the price.
