Has anyone experienced this issue? It is laggy and jittery on my Pixel 6 Pro after running anywhere from 8-24 hours when I start a screen record. If I reboot it's silky smooth.
This only happens while performing a screen recording and I've checked my refresh rate which does not go below 120hz.
I am rooted and running Kirisakura kernel. Thought originally it was the kernel but no one reported it.
Thoughts?

only way to know for sure is to go back to stock and test it. if it still happens on stock setup, re-flash - which will surely resolve your issue. I know you didn't want to hear this but..

Sure, I could certainly do this and it's easy enough for just the kernel. It seems odd that no one else reports this problem on the kernel forums though. Which is why it leads me to believe something else is going on. Everything else is fluid and smooth, just screen recording sucks.
What mixer volume did you get to work? Combined zip? I can't get it to

I made the mixer module. What are you trying to adjust?
That's really cool. I want to increase max volumes across the device primarily

Nope, nothing like that here (also stock, unrooted). Have you tried rebooting?

yah same result just seems different hard to put a finger on it but not as "Fluid" as it was.
After flashing a few new roms last week I had issues with lag and battery drain too. Forced stop and cleared data of Play store and uninstalled/reinstalled Player Pro and all is back to smooth.
Not sure if that will help you, but I'm back to normal here.
Haven't noticed anything different on my Note II after the update...
I'm just thankful I unlocked it beforehand! I will likely switch over to Straight Talk once my contract expires.
So, I bought it on launch day and I'm getting desperate...
1) Wake screen after receiving notification (text etc). Pull down notification bar, back and multitask soft buttons grey out and phone will not respond. If I'm listening to music when this happens, the song keeps playing until I pull the battery or the phone reboots itself.
2) General lag is awful... More than half the time it has noticeable hangs switching apps or opening anything. I'm down to next to no apps that i've installed and have even tried removing just about everything I have with no improvement. Scrolling stutters about half the time as well. And the image you see with the camera open stutters badly also. Every once in a while it's buttery smooth for a few seconds then slows again.
Battery life is great and I love the form factor of this phone. I REALLY don't want to get rid of it but I'm at the point where it's more important to have a phone that's usable than have the extra screen size etc.
It's bone stock and I haven't tried a factory reset.
Suggestions?
Try the factory reset then go from there.

Or reflash the whole firmware using LGFlashTool. Might help.

Well, I did the factory reset and no lockups or reboots yet. It's still really laggy though :-/
Gonna give it a while longer but I'm thinking it's time to root. What's the "hot setup" for the tmo version of this phone?

I meant rom/mods. I've seen people mention 60fps mod for the camera but I was wondering if there was an international rom that worked with the d851 since we haven't seen any of the updates for this phone yet.

We have the only unlocked bootloader. There are no international roms. SkyDragon is a good rom tho.

Hey guys,
atm I'm facing towards a problem like on the screenshots
<---https://goo.gl/photos/UQXesg48QwZLZTyy5--->
I'm not sure how this could happen but i think this is from an xposed module. Someone maybe know what i have to modify to put it right. Atm my minimum volume is 14%. Can't lower the volume from that point.
I tried formatting userdata, system or better said, I clean flashed my phone but this changed nothing actually.

If you're on Open Beta 8 it's a feature of the ROM. I'm not sure why its the case but many people are reporting this, only way to get to vibrate is silent mode.

You can be right, since I'm not sure when this issue started. At OOS3.2.7 i tuned my volume with some xposed modules and after that I flashed the CB3.5.5. Maybe its because I'm using the beta. Can you refer me some points where ppl reporting this? I haven't found anything yet on xda or on the oneplus forums. At the moment I'm using your suggested way for turning the phone into vibrate. Sometimes I want to silent my phone completely and have to go into settings to turn the lever to silent. In some cases really annoying.
kind regards

It is quite annoying, happening to me too.
Any time the screen turns off and I turn it back on, I have to wait 30 seconds to a minute before the touch screen is responsive at all. I've tried using my fingerprint or removing all screen security and that doesn't seem to make a difference. Has anyone else run into a similar issue? Any idea on how to fix it?

What android version are you running? Do you have many apps installed? Have you tried restoring back to factory defaults?
I believe it started after upgrading to 9 manually a few weeks ago. But I've tried a few different ROMs with the same situation. I have not rolled back to 8 to test that yet. It happens right out of the gate without installing any additional apps as well. I've done multiple full wipes, including unlocking the bootloader that for sure wiped everything with no change to the situation.

Fastboot upgrade? If not, i'd download 9 stock RETAIL and just flash it all with fastboot
Ok, I'll try that when I get a chance. we'll see if it works.

I just re-flashed via fastboot 9 stock RETAIL found here. Looks like I'm still having the same issue as before with the touch screen not being responsive after turning the screen back on. Even if it's only been off for half a second, it will still not be responsive for a minute
Any further ideas? Or is there a better location to get the RETAIL image for XT1710-01?

Actually, yes. Just after getting the phone, it was dropped and the screen had to be replaced. The fingerprint sensor has been loose ever since then too. But this was never an issue until flashing a new ROM

did you have someone else replace your screen? If so, and it might sound weird, they might have installed an LCD screen instead of OLED; and then modified the stock rom for that. You might not know, but OLED and LCD have very different power profiles, so when turning LCD on you can just blast it, meanwhile oled you need to slowly bring the power up. This is what might be causing your issues

Yeah, I had someone else install the screen for me. How would I go about checking if its LCD vs OLED? And do you know what would need to be modified in order to fix it if it is LCD?

You would need to remove the screen. Otherwise you can use something like AOD and check if the whole display lights up vs only the clock or whatever. On an LCD screen the whole display will light up a tiny bit vs complete black on OLED.
You would need to modifiy the dtb's and kernel, but it's something i would be able to do for you

It looks to me like OLED to me with only the clock lighting up. I could still take the screen off at some point to verify if needed.
Thanks for all of your help by the way

I don't know if it's the reflection, but is there some bleed around the clock? Like is the dark areas lighter compared to the rest of the screen?

I think it's just the reflection? Here's a shot of my Nexus 6p right beside it and I think they look basically the same.
The phone is used almost exclusively for kids videos so it's not the end of the world if I never get it fixed, but at the same time, it would alleviate some frustration when I'm helping my daughter turn a show on.

Ok, I'm willing to try modifying the ROM if that'll get rid of the stupid touch screen delay. How difficult is it? I know you said you would be willing to do it for me, but if it's not something that will persist through an update (I had been running AICP) and it's something that I could learn to do, all the better. If that's not realistic, that's fine as well.

Is a great guide, you'd need to follow the clang guide tho, as our kernel IS clang-compiled, and i recommend repacking the boot.img
You'd need to change this line

In your source to be
qpnp,qpnp-labibb-mode = "lcd";
If i'm right, after doing that and flashing it the issue will be fixed. Otherwise when you try to turn on the display it will cause a kernel panic
You would need to reflash this boot.img after every update, and redownload sources everytime i do something to kernel.
Hello,
I have an issue with my Pixel 6 Pro that is rooted with Magisk. When the always on screen is on and there is a timer or stopwatch running for example, it freezes for multiple seconds.
This only happens when the phone is not moving, if I pick it up from the table it starts working again...
Also, the fingerprint scanner doesn't light up when it is in this state.
I suppose it's not normal because my friend who has a Pixel 7 doesn't have this issue
Any idea of what could be causing this?
Edit: Here's a video of it happening
Edit 2: It can also be seen on screen recordings so i don't think it's a hardware issue (on these it just jumps to the next update so it doesn't hang but it skips multiple seconds at once)
I get all sorts of problems with my rooted 6 pro, including this. I've almost actually come close to snapping the device in half in my rage at the malfunction of it.
Is clock battery optimized? I can't remember if i had this issue, if i remember in thr morning i might try. What the shortest timer you've experienced this with?

Good point in your reply, it's been so long since I've actually been non rooted

I actually got the phone about a week ago and I rooted it instantly so I didn't use stock at all. But I flashed a13 through fastboot first to prevent bricking it due to the bootloader version.
