I have a Dasaita MTCE unit running HA3 Max10 Android 10 rom. For the past year I've been running a Tasker script that uses a javascript file to set variables for sunrise and sunset times (more info on the task/script here: http://tasker.wikidot.com/sunrisesunset) so that I can automatically dim and brighten the screen corresponding to the time of sunrise/sunset.
For some reason today it seems that any time an app tries to access this javascript code, it crashes. Everything has worked fine for the past year or so until this morning. As far as I know, there have been no updates or changes to the headunit software itself. I did update some apps yesterday, but I've updated the same apps to the same version numbers on other devices and not had this problem arise on them.
The problem appears to be isolated to the headunit itself, as I can access and open the javascript/text file on my phone and run the task as usual via tasker on my phone, but I cannot do so on the headunit. Attempting to read the file simply results in crashing whichever app tries to access it (solid explorer text editor, tasker, htmlviewer, chrome, etc). I've also tried saving a few different variations of files (unicode, UTF-8, ansi; .js or .txt; etc) with the javascript code in them and the result remains the same.
Any ideas what might have caused this sudden change in behavior or how to fix it?
Same problem here with my MAX10.
Many apps that worked last week, crashing today.
I ended up updating both MCU and firmware. All is working now.
Just a bit of a pain as I use Nova launcher and have a ton of apps from various sources.
MCU - 3.78
Firmware - HA3_rk3399_10.0_ota(20220517)

Hi all,
I have a strange problem: bluetooth manager works fine after a soft reset. I can my PPC the whole day and it will always start normally (read: the screen that shows BT shortcuts shows up). The problem occurs when I turn off the phone over night (flight mode). The next day I can't get the BT manager to show the shortcuts screen - BT can be switched on and off but neither the BT manager or the BT settings screen will show up (there is no error message!!!). After I do a soft reset everything starts working...
Has anyone come across this kind of a problem in the past? I couldn't find anything using search on this forum...
My device info is (DutchRetail ROM):
ROM: 1.40.00 WWE
Radio: 1.13.00
Ext ROM: 1.40.556 WWE
I have tried uninstalling almost all extra software that I have installed after a hard reset but the issue is still here.
Thanks for all suggestions on what else I can try.
Hi Poga,
Yep, I get exactly the same problem :-(

Do either of you have Goodlink software on your device?
same problem no goodlink
Same problem but no goodlink software
I also get another funny problem where sometimes I go to connect to my bluetooth access point from my phone and it just has the little pie icon saying it's doing something, then it stops and it hasn't connected (the connection icon stays the same) and I can't make any sort of connection. It then does this everytime I try to connect.
I don't know how i fix it, but I combination of many soft resets various flight mode turn ons and fiddling it eventually works. It's very frustrating and it's happened on every software version. Right now i"m running 2.04.00. I have a CDMA from Telecom NZ running radio HA_01_151 right now (but I've tried other radios).
Somebody else had this problem I noticed but nobody replied to his posts.
I've got the same problem I hope someday that someone makes a fix for it. I run the XDA IIs BlueAngel 1.40.00 Asian O2 ROM WWE. =/.
Same problem here - only solution I had was to go into settings/memory and then stop all programs running - then the bluetooth manager appears without the need for a softboot..
Pain in the arse. :!:

I do and I have the same problem. I've been suspecting that it may have something to do with that because when I reset and I can start the manager just fine before I start Goodlink, but after I start goodlink it's a pain. Once, I tried to start BT manager then it didnt... i forgot all about it then suddenly some 11 hours later it just popped up by itself. Goodlink had been running continuously.
Any ideas???
I sometimes have the same effect.
What I usually do to resolve it (without soft reset):
- I installed PocketNav (kills programs which run in the background)
- I select 'Close all but Ative' in PocketNav
Then the Bluetooth Manager works again.
Hope it helps.

This is due to memory limitation in WM2003SE. When it finds that the memory is not sufficient it wont run Bluetooth Manager or Wifi. I had this problem a lot until i have shifted to WM5 which has more than 100 mb when the device starts. I guess that is why M$ has built WM5 for that reason and also for persisten storage of course.
The "memory limitation" is indirectly the problem. The Goodlink, which is more than three times the memory hog as any other 3rd party app out there, is the direct problem. I could write a college discertation on the amount of bugs in this awful software. And yes, it is good for push email...but at the expense of everything else that is good about these multimedia devices we own. The typical "close-when-you-tap-the-X" software utilities don't shut down Goodlink on my device even though they successfully shut down every other software I own (over 40 titles). So I have to use MemMaid to kill its process. But Goodlink will restore itself in a matter of minutes as it ventures out to the server looking to synch mail, calendar, contacts. If there was ever a reason to bring back public hangings, it would be for the Goodlink windows OS development team.
I don't really see any issues with Goodlink eating my memory. Then again, I've converted from a strictly fun user to a strictly business user so the whole gaming and multimedia thing doesn't quite do it for me anymore.
Steiner,
I tried PocketNav to see if it would truly close GoodApp.exe. Although it does seem to shut the application down, the 6+MB exe still is open in memory. Using MemMaid it shows that it never really closes.
I also didn't have the Goodlink software installed . My solution to the problem was: I installed the Sprite Backup software and set it to automatically restart my PPC @ 6 am after creating a backup. So in a way, this problem was very benifical to me - I now have a fresh backup of all the software every morning and the device reboots every morning without my intervention (no BT errors, no WiFi errors, etc).

Hi guys,
I hope i am in the right place...
I have an android system installed in my Mitsubishi, but the local importer of the system, has "locked" the system by removing the Google play app, file manager and all ability to make any changes.
Is there a way I can add back the Google play so i can add a few apps to the system? The system has a USB port.

no not really
without a file manager
I was going to say - put a file manager app on to the usb - I would have provided you with a file manager app
wait for usb files to show up and install app but
a file manager would be needed to show the USB and install an app manually anyway
I mod android and I have my own rom but I can't think of anyway other than....
having another type of app store on there
This unit has a full thread on 4pda.

You should find all your answers there. Since googling it only returns results in Russian I presume it is a unit only sold there.
Installing APK
Hi,
Did you manage to install an APK?? Or did you get any answers regarding this issue?
Just an idea because I don't have this in my car:
connect it to a laptop, and use "adb" tool to install the APK files you wish.
Question is, how would you root it after that, and whether converting apps into system apps would work in order to install play-services and play-store.
In order to fetch the APK files from a normal device, you can use my app :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lb.app_manager
Can I reply here?

Hello Goamir,
Does this android work properly with the 2016 mitsubishi outlander can you use your original gps antenna, rear & side view camera are you able to get your cars A/c settings etc on the screen? If not can anyone recommend a proper android system?
I managed to activate developer options
Today I managed to activate developer options in my car (Mitsubishi Outlander) by going to input devices -> Voice input, I played a bit with it, I set the default to English and downloaded offline recognition, afterwards I pressed the small question mark in the upper corner and there it tells you that you don't have google services, there's a button there that suggest to install it, I pressed it and later I noticed that I have developer options (not sure which step actually enabled it, If someone can repeat it step-by-step and tell it will be great).
Anyhow now i'm stuck again since I can't connect usb and push apk, I tried with male-male usb but it didn't worked.
If anyone got any idea please share.
Details I have on the device:
When you reboot it and long press the screen it takes you to fastboot mode, when you hold volume up in the steering wheel it takes you to recovery .
The model I have is Flyaudio G8508

Hi,
I got my system on my Mitsubishi updated - unfortunately i payed for it...
Still if I could help in this forum I will.
I can install any app and have full access to google play.
However some option are still missing.
e.g. when i connect my PC to the system it is not show at all.
i was thinking i could somehow create a full system backup (image) and then turn the backup to an update file.
If anyone can offer a way to enable the use option, that is that my system would appear on my pc i could try it.
I have developer option and usb debugging on via an app i downloaded.
If i can do it in any other way I can try.
Another thing i was thinking of is to create a full backup and later restore, from the recovery mode but there are only option for update in the recovery mode.
Is it possible to allow/add the restore/backup option ?
Hi,
so I am kinda new to this and wanted to upgrade to 5.1.1 below is the initial information.
Its a Roadmaster AN-111 GMC (if it matters)
It was MTCB - KSP 2.86
upgraded to MTCB KSP 2.89(KSP_11-28-2016_1.99_dmcu.img)
Firmware was 4.4.4_11032016
I installed the KLD - 2.1.1 december update
now the system boots up but does not show any display, if i plug in a USB it starts to play songs. All hardware button BEEP when i click so does the buttons on steering. I
I can go into recovery but I continuously receive the no sd card - cant post a picture yet
any chance of recovery please?
Hello,
Are you sure the MCU upgrade you did was to KSP 2.89 ? The filename you gave says something else: KSP_11-28-2016_1.99_dmcu.img (notice the 1.99 in the filename).
That would mean you did a MCU downgrade. Try flashing the MCU back again (i have KSP mcu too, not sure which version, i may be able to help you).
Regarding 5.1.1 update, i have the same behavior. I do not see the "desktop" with all the icons, but i see toast messages, popups, the "preparing to shutdown" window, so, maybe display driver problem ?
Hello all,
I'm in a bit of a pickle with my SWR50 that I got not long ago but as of now haven't been able to use.
As far as I've established it's got a pre-release software version on it, and not sure if that itself is the problem but I can't pair it successfully to anything and can't use it.
Tried to read up as much as I could on how I could sort this, but there's way too much info out there, too many methods because people mainly were in it to get more out of their gear, roms etc, and as I haven't had much previous experience with rom updates (unless there was some step by step, easy to follow stuff) I'm stuck.
The problem:
Pairing with phone –> phone finds watch, pairing starts
*just a minte* goes on for ~3 minutes than says: “can’t connect to the internet, swipe for options" (make sure phone has net, go to help website, retry, abort)
Then it just says Tetra BF1E – install android wear on your phone (on long press of power button I can access limited menu)
About phone:
Model: Tetra
Software Version: 4.4W
Build Number: Tetra-userdebug 4.4W KGW29E 1031 test-keys
If I try to update via Xperia Companion I eventually get a:
Startup error
"An error occurred while preparing to update your device. Device is unchanged. Try later or contact sony support"
UEGetPhoneMissingInfo
tetra 1291-6001
2.2.5.0 / Win8 64bit /wiin32 /US
Also tried factory restore from within the watch (both from menu and startup malarkey), but it didn't change anything regarding connectivity success.
Sorry for the lots of info, as a problem solver myself I like to get a good view into what's wrong & what's been tried.
All I want is to somehow upgrade to an OS that works - I don't have preferences other than I don't need anything flashy (5.1 would do), just something that offers decent battery life - I'd only use the watch to get notifications of messages, calls etc.
Any advice of what steps I should take so I can read up on them, would be appreciated!
Flash this via TWRP and after that try to restore watch from Xperia Companion
Hello everyone.
As a junior member, I'm getting wiser everyday, but still would like some advice on the steps I need to take to clear the Version Unmatch_ issue on my PX5 MTCE HU.
A friend of mine installed a wrong MCU version on my HU, but didn't export before flashing.
My MCU is a MX2 version, and i've been told that I can use the newest MX as well, but after flashing the new MX V3.08 it still comes back with Version unmatch. No sounds, and all the knobs don't work anymore.
Can someone tell me in steps which actions I should take to make the HU work properly again. Note like I said, I don't have the original config file anymore.
By reading through all the treads my head spins , I don't know where to start......
People talk about different things like McuUnmatchUnlock.apk anfd manual config, install reboot, config file will be restored etc etc.
to be sure I used to have MCU version MTCE_MX2_V3.01_01, now i've installed MTCE_MX_V3.08
I would appreciate your help.:angel::angel:
Noël
İnstall the MTCE_MX_V3.08 file from USB. Do not update the MTCE_MX_V3.08 file from the SD card.
