We are very excited to announce the berta of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12L.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

+1 have the same bugs. But boii oh boii this Rom is really smooth.
Does it come with Gapps already included? From the file size, it seems this way.
If so, is there a vanilla build without Gapps?

It seems to be official but in beta. The OP says "FW 12.5.x or later" so 12.5.5 seems to be okay but you could also update MIUI, or just the firmware if you trust https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/alioth/

You just need to have flashed H2OS before flashing PA. So if you're coming from Pixel Experience, just do flash H2OS lastest openbeta and then flash PA

Is Magisk supported?
Installed the latest stable. ROM is smooth and looks really good. Messenger calls work properly (which is a bug I had in Havoc & Lineage)
Issues I had:
1. Camera is really bad (extra emphasis on this; it's terrible). Even with Gcam mods. Specially compared to Lineage OS (Lineage has the best cam)
2. Recents menu & gesture navigation is buggy (doesn't always work)
couln't run any dolby atmos module, device is stuck in bootloop.
camera
Now I'm using pe based on android 10 and this ROM with gcam can recording video 60fps without issues, but paranoid with gcam can't do it. How fix it?

I haven't tried to use Atmos yet on PA but maybe try a clean flash and wipe and format everything and flash permissive zip so that you'll be permissive instead of enforcing which is what this is by default. Maybe also use Canary Magisk latest and flash it all in one run. That's what I'm about to do now. I'll let you know if Atmos works and doesn't loop once I see what's up. I'll then edit my post here and add results to this same paragraph.
edit added: I forgot that GH's Dolby Atmos changes enforcing selinux to permissive. I tried a few things and same results , always bootloop but this is OT and I dont want to be disrespectful. I wont post anything else about sound mods here op...My bad.
I came here to say that you do an excellent job @herna building this rom!! AOSPA is solid and I've been using it for over a month on my Mix 2. I wish you guys still had the crazy ui you did back many years ago on Paranoid Android where you could make your status bar be on bottom and all. That was some super bad ass development! I'm really glad that PA came back though and that you guys do things differently still in some ways. :good:
August Update?

Device-specific issues
[*] Pocket-detection is less than ideal, it may result in accidental wake-ups or ignored gestures
[*] Bootanimation will pause for a split second. This is a known issue from the kernel
There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.
Requirements
Make sure you are coming from any Android 11 based OxygenOS build, stable is recommended.
Downloads
You can always get our Beta builds from our Telegram Group or directly download them from here:
(Note, OP9 & Pro builds are no longer unified)
Note: Custom kernels are not supported unless the kernel says it supports AOSPA and GMS is included!
Instructions
[1] Download the latest fastboot zip we released (hint: it has an -img appended to zip name)
[2] Reboot to bootloader.
[3] Wipe userdata with the command "fastboot -w"
[3] Flash the fastboot zip with "fastboot update aospa-*-image.zip"
[4] Reboot.
Changelog
- Fixed post boot script applying incorrect tuning values
- Dimensions synced with other custom ROMs
Here are platform-wise highlights:
- New VRR method implemented to drastically improve battery life
- The memory allocator is now back to jemalloc, which improves performance throughout the system
- Optimized bionic, memory routines (ported by xboxfanj)
- zlib-ng from kdrag0n’s ProtonAOSP to improve performance
- Latest libjpeg-turbo merged to improve imaging performance
- Latest CAF tag merged
Starting with Beta 1, you must clean flash due to recent commits related to userdata.

Installed Yesterday on MI 8 64 GB CN version. All work fine and much more faster than official ROM. Noticed at this time only one bug: Google Chrome app Freezes after near 1 minute of working. Tried another browsers working on chromium engine(Yandex), and had same issue. Now I'm using Opera and everything is fine. Dev, please fix it. Can provide access to device if necessary.

If WFD is still in /vendor/etc/vintf/manifest.xml but not working then the drm service will probably be crashing after some time. I'm not saying this is the problem but something I had while testing at some point.
HI Do you have any plans to dimm the clock on the lock screen
Very nice and smooth build! Also want to share that the clock isn't dimming in aod. In ambient it is dimming. Thanks for your effort and keep on the great work @rtx4d

I did factory reset in latest official TWRP, then flashed firmware, then aospa zip and then format data by typing yes and reboot. Format data will wipe everything on your device. This is how I flashed it.

We are very excited to announce Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

We kindly ask all of you that are in a position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

There isn't an option to flash anyways the zip in this recovery, so it's necessary to patch boot.img which I have extracted from the fastboot zip.
