Hi All,
Can i flash my USA Tmobile Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N975U (USA) with SM-N975F/DS (Global) to activate dual sim functionality on my USA TMO phone?
As far as i know i need to replace the sim tray after flasing the phone with global rom to get second sim working as default sim tray doesnt allow you to fit second sim on the tray.Any thoughts on this?

No. They are two different devices. Even if you managed to flash F/DS firmware to your U, you would just end up with am $1100 brick.
And there's no way to "activate" the second SIM. It's not present in the U devices. Again, even if it were, there's no IMEI for it, so it would be useless.
Hello
So I have 2 numbers one on physical sim other on esim
I saw locally a galaxy fold 5G for good price
Question is does fold 5G (unlocked) support esim or is that only for 4G variant
It doesn't seem to in the UK at least, mine is an unlocked device direct from Samsung and there is no option for an esim, not eve a greyed out option.
From what I know the 5g is 1 sim I got mine from ee but has no ee bloat on it at all and has bsu so get updates direct from samsung the 4g version is dual sim 1 and esim not sure tho as 5g one only available in uk
I have a bootloader unlocked, rooted Galaxy S20 Ultra SM-G9880 (Hong Kong version) that I am using on T-Mobile. However, I had some doubts about how it interacts with the various bands.
The phone does not support some of T-Mobile's LTE bands, and it does not seem to support any of their current 5G bands. Is there any way to change this with CSC changes or any other trickery?
Would AT&T be better for any of this?
When I use the Samsung band selector app, I see that NR B41 is supported. This is the Sprint spectrum that T-Mobile is repurposing, correct? Does that mean additional 5G and LTE coverage once the rollout is complete?
Another user was having problems enabling carrier aggregation. Is there a way of doing this?

You can't change to a US CSC on your device. Some users are reporting 5G works only on SIM2. Carrier Aggregation isn't compatible in the US with the SM-G9880. I have the Hong Kong variant on T-mobile and 4G LTE works fine.

Would you happen to know if our imei works with 5g on t mobile? I just switched last month from att. On att, you would have to call and give an att imei in order for 5g to work and I'm wondering if t mobile is the same way or if it works out of the box with our imei.
Also, I have an SD card and seems like I cannot have a Sim on slot 2 and an SD at the same time, do you happen to know if an esim will get 5g?

That's a question for T-mobile. It's not a question of your IMEI, it's whether or not your device's available 4G and 5G bands are compatible with T-mobile. I don't know what model you have but if it's a US model eSim isn't available on S20 devices. Only Exynos devices have eSim capabilities.

I have the same model that's been on topic... The SM-G9880...
SM-G9880 isn't eSim enabled, only Exynos variants offer this. 5G may work, take it to your local T-mobile store and see if they can set it up. Often times information coming from a CSR over the phone isn't reliable. If it worked with AT&T on SIM 1 T-mobile it MAY work as well however many users have stated it only works on SIM 2. Even though T-mobile's 5G network has a larger coverage area they can't match the speed of AT&T's mmWave network.

I know that some people were trying to enable eSIM on rooted Snapdragon S20 Ultra devices. Did anything ever happen with that?

If you root the device I suppose it's possible to override an eSim block on the SM-G9880 but I'm not aware of anyone achieving it. The only Snapdragon variant which offers eSim at this time is the Galaxy Fold. I don't understand what the value of eSim is on a Dual SIM device. Even if you travel to a different country it's a simple choice, keep the SD Card in or use both SIM's and rely on internal memory for storage.
Did anyone try using BRI CSC to see if CA works in the USA?
Hello,
Can any one confirm they get 5G on there Samsung Galaxy S20+ G9860 Hong Kong version on the o2 Network? This is with the latest firmware.
I have just moved on to a 5G plan on o2 and whilst in many o2 5G areas I never get 5G. It goes to 4G+ but never 5G. I have a new 5G o2 sim etc....
I'm running on the latest TGY firmware and for a short period changed my CSC to BRI and loaded BRI firmware but didn't make much difference. It never went to 5G.
As soon as I put a 3 network sim in I get 5G on sim slot 1 and 2 all day long in 5G areas.
Does anyone actually get 5G on any phone with o2?
Thanks
I have searched for hours without any luck. I have been with an AT&T MVNO (Unreal mobile) for two years. During the 3g shutdown I was unable to use VOLTE on my S8 (VERIZON FIRMWARE). I found out the only way to use my S8 on UNREAL was to have AT&T firmware. I spent countless hours trying to flash ATT firware onto the Verizon S8, but I was unable to do it by flashing, but I found another way. I put a TMOBILE SIM in my S8 and it automatically loaded the TMOBILE firmware. Once the S8 was booted up I was able to run a USSD code (*#272*IMEI#) through the dialer which allowed me to switch to ATT firmware! Problem solved!!!! But a few months later my S8 was lost and I got a S9 (Verizon Firmware). I tried the same method as I used on the S8, but it doesn't work. When I put a T-mobile sim in the S9 it does not automatically change the firmware like the S8 did. From the Verizon dialer on both the S8 and the S9 it will NOT ALLOW USSD codes. Does anyone know if there is a way to run the USSD code (*#272*IMEI#) on the Verizon S9? Does anyone know why the Verizon S9 doesn't automatically change to T-Mobile after inserting a T-Mobile sim? Are there any other sims I can insert in the S9 to change the Verizon firmware in order to run USSD codes? Flashing my S9 is not an option for me because I must be too stupid. Anyhow thanks for your help!!!!
Seem's you+I have similar problem! I have s9 verizon unlocked, but I am with consumer cellular. They went to 4g recently now no call or recieve call! They gave me new sim, still not working! Told me shorter mobile wavelength from tower's! Last update on this phone was 2018? Won't update normal procedure! Wondering since this is U.S.A version if any way to update to 4 g? I'm fine on micro-soldering but when it come's to tech,a little to old I guess!!Lol Any help appreciated!

In my case I had a Verizon unlocked s9 and it turns out Verizon has bloatware that prevents many MVNO's from using VolTE. After tons of research the only solution I found was using patched ODIN to flash unbranded stock firmware in order to chance my model from a U model to a a U1 model. Now the phone works perfectly. Someone should file a lawsuit against Verizon (and ATT) for circumventing federal law on unlocked phones (technically they are unlocked but you can't use them because of their bloatware). It really is a major scam.
