[Q] Seriously guys i want your help. please....!! Airplane mode problem

Yesterday i install a custom Rom 4.2.2 after kitkat cyanogenmod BR2. before installation i put my phone on airplane mode.
after installation my HD is showing signal bars (white colored) and on top no service and cross sign.
other sim networks works perfectly only Telenor network has this problem.
i have tried changing radio version. now i am on latest one.
i have tried full wipe and install again kitkat and jellybean no success.
please guys help me what should i do.

So, other SIMs are working with different radio versions? I think that your phone is fine.

Might be a trouble from operator side. Check Telenor SIM on other phone.
If it will work - flash factory ship ROM on yor DHD and flash original radion version.
It's strange mystical part, but stock ROM resolves a lot of troubles

Thanks for reply other sims works fine with ever version of radio only that telenor sim doesn't work as before flashing a new rom i put my DHD in airplane mode i think that is the main problem...
if i do same process with other sim ( before flashing other rom put DHD in airplane mode ) then that sim network will not work also..those sims will work fine in other cellphone.
like i use the same process( before flashing other rom put DHD in airplane mode ) with Mobilink sim it shows signals but when i call or sms it says Mobile network not available (in screenshot)
and when i use Telenor it says no service (in screenshot)
when i try to choose a mobile network manually in settings it says "your sim doesn't allow a connection to this network" (in screenshot).
and when i try to choose a mobile network automatically in settings it says "Can't connect to this network right now try again latter" (in screenshot).
other sims works fine
all screenshots are attached with other information
please help me.please :crying:

This Is strange... Is your device made in china or taiwan?
Reason for asking this question is that, taiwanese made DHD normally generate certain problems out of the bloom that usually makes no sense.
From my understanding, When you flash a rom, you format the data partition and this partition holds every change you made to the os during the time of use. So there isnt any reason why a mode you left your phone in before flashing another rom should have such an effect.
Have you tried inserting another sim from the same mobile operator?
Edit:: And what rom is that? It looks nice. Can you give me a link to it?

It cant be a simlock. It takes more than airplane mode to throw a device in sim lock.
And if it was sim lock, it would only accept one particular sim card and not accept some simcards and reject others.
These made in taiwan Desire HDs develop problems that dont mount up to any proper explanation, as i already said.
Like mine, its taiwanese made and when i take out the simcard, it runs smoothly, but as soon as i insert a simcard, the device becomes laggy/slow. i have tried so many things but they all dont seem to work. This isnt the only problem, there are others.
This only leaves me with the conclusion that, the taiwan made DHDs are immetations/fake.

Hardware or software issus?????

Hy friend in my galaxy s4 mini i9195..after all 30 min or 1h i lose 3g signal ans show (emergency call only) but after little time the 3g return... and i dont have 2g signal when i chose 2g signal its show (emergency call only) i do any thing i try deferent modems iam at stock roms 4.2.2...i dont lose m imei its good...i try défirent roms...no 2g network....question this is a probleme software or hardware ?? Note (3g work fine but some time crach)

I think you could downgrade modem only from that Brazilian firmware which boot loader is 2.0.
Last thing you could try is to do a e2fsck from adb on your partitions.
Again I'll ask about your Knox status is it 0x0 go to your download mode (Odin mode) if its under warranty send it to service, just because flashing don't seem to solve your problem.
This is something offtopic but I'll tell you why I think it's a hardware thing I could be wrong

Then I swapped screens with the old phone and that was the solution to my 3g problem same sims but different hardware.

no no i have knox 0*1 because i dont care about waranty
so can i flash the brazilian modem 4.2.2 on my kitkat firmoire for downgrade only the modem????

I see no problem flashing that modem.
If happens that you lost imei flash again the kk firmware your phone has right now.

tnx very much....i flashed just the modem and i dont lose my imei baseband is changed to the brazilian modem sussesfully but nothing happen....same probleme for the 2g network.but if i put another sim of another operator the 2g is worked fine....all sim of my same operator dont work at 2g network...but if i put another sim of other operatoer the 2g work normally??? so were are the probleme????

Crazy I know but my knowledge is limited but i think if all software seems to be right then it's hardware

its crazy yes but for me its not a hardware probleme.bcz if its a probleme hardware no sim card can be work my friend.because i try other sim card of other operator and 2g work like a charm.if i put my dim card or other sil card same at my simcard the probleme is the same hhhhhh this is crazy ????

Hello, I bought a used a5 2017 phone from ebay and when I received it, my sim not worked, then my brother's sim either. I think the imei is being blacklisted. Is there any way to change it, or how?

You could try reflashing stock modem. Also Does Samsung pay open?

changing firmware, preferably with a newer modem?
wiping data?
For installing firmware, there's odin. Use odin, the stock rom (official firmware), and samsung drivers, Insert the usb cable, switch off the device, hold power+volumedown+home(the button on the middle), grant its permission, select the stock rom in odin, start. New firmware might require odin 3.13.1. The error "failed: device _ binary _" means that the firmware is old, somewhere in the middle of the firmware version code is for example U5 or S5, if U6 or S6 is already on the device it won't install u5/s5.
To check if the device is blacklisted, the code is *#9900# > run cp based log > copy to sdcard. Select nothing else. It is available in the folder /sdcard/log/err/ , sdcard meaning internal storage or device storage or internal memory. Open LitmusLog....txt and scroll down, look for the part that says reject info list, look for Cause:6 (basically this device can't be used); Cause:3 (basically this device can't be used with this sim). It is also available in /sdcard/log/err/ss_log/*/cp_members.txt , but the reject cause is in hexadecimal, and resets after a reboot, compared to the other file that keeps reject causes until it's replaced or cleared in another menu. Sadly this not helped, the imei is blacklisted, and modem update not fixed it for me. :/ I contacted the network operator and because I'm not in contact with the person who sold me the phone, they can't tell me anything, because I don't have the rights. So I think the only way is the imei changing method, but I don't know if it's even possible or how.

I did a bit of research....
- it is illegal to change imei- if hat means anything to you, lol
- it is against Ebay's policy to sell phones with bad imei
- there is an xposed module to change imei but you would trip knox

I think in my country it's not illegal, but not quite sure.. And i didn't know this, the guy wrote it down in the ebay ad even, so it went through.
Thank you, I will look into it, but I think I will sell the phone as a 'working display part'.. Motherboards are not cheap.

It's perfectly normal, everything works, except if I insert a sim, it will show a notification: ' can't connect to network '

Imei is locked to the device as far as I know. This is why a device can be blocked after being reported as stolen. If it is imei blocked then you should get a refund or make sure Ebay is involved if the seller refuses to.

No SIM after flashing custom ROM..

My device note 10+ (SM-N976B) was on pie..
I updated it with stock ROM android 11& oneUI 3.1 but it is not accepting SIM card it says emergency calls only unable to make calls or do anything, although it detects the SIM because SIM tools application gets installed when I put SIM..
after that I flashed Dr Ketan's ROM too but problem persists..
My actual region is PAK (Pakistan) but it's CSC is AUT XEU previously when everything was fine it's CSC was vd2..
Please anyone help so that it can pick Pakistani networks...

Why didn't you ask it in Dr.keton's thread? Why a new one?

Sorry about that I am new member don't know much about this forum yet... yes my imei is fine I checked ✔.. but it has masking (imei is changed ) I purchased it in used condition

If it is in used condition, were the sims workings before flashing the rom? Also, I think you should clean flash everything again.
I think re-reading the doc's thread might be a good idea too since some issues have been reported and doc have solved them.

Your CSC is non PAK means your device was likely imported from other country, Pakistan don't allow to use imported device unless you pay tax. This procedure will change your IMEI. Unfortunately your contry have weird policy and resetting device wipe your changed IMEI to original and you will get blocked by operator and you have to pay again. I am not sure this is your govt policy or first time you have changed number was illegal way.
In any circustances, you needs to contact PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) for further assistance.
Next time, when you have questiom, post it to relevent forum. This is development forum and you can't post questions here. I am reporting to Mod to move this.

Yes you are right it's IMEI is changed because it is not matching with the box or phone back cover, but flashing did nothing with IMEI it was same when everything was fine & working with Vd2 CSC . I did factory reset several times everything was fine,(my current IMEI is also registered with PTA so no problem from there side) the problem occurs after flashing stock ROM downloaded from Sam mobile, then I tried your ROM too ,now everything is fine except SIM card problem, & model number is also changed from 976B to n975F.
is this the problem of AP file ? Or CSC ? What is the solution now... If possible then please help I'll be thankful to you.

If you are using my rom, it will show N975F bcoz it's common rom for both device
Also to note that, you must needs to apply Essential fix from rom Tool else you won't have network (this requires for N976B users)

Yes Dr. I read the instructions as well this thread again & again before flashing your ROM & applied essential fixes , rebooted several times did factory reset 3 times but everything is working like a charm except that SIM card problem

Emergency calls only. HELP!

I bought a used s9 a few months back. It had dual sim. In "about phone" it said G960F and was on android 9. A few days ago, I wanted to flash android 10 so I downloaded firmware for G960F, booted my phone in download mode and SURPRISE. The whole thing was in Korean and of course it was a G960N model. So I downloaded firmware for G960N this time and flashed it. Everything went perfect but when the phone booted up, It had no sim service.
I've tried everything I've found on the forums so far related to emergency calls only or no sim service.
Any kind of help would be appreciated. I have no sim service for 5 days now.
Things I've tried so far:
Flashing my phone again with android 9 stock firmware, which I can't do anymore as I've updated the bootloader lol.
Flashing custom roms
Changing csc from SKC to KOO
Flashing OXM CSC as I live in Pakistan
Flashing different modems and basebands
Nothing worked

Try flashing back a G960F android 10 firmware.

OK, let's go back to beginning: you've bought the used phone. 960F never was (as factory leaving) dual sim phone.
so, let's start from the beginning:
contact the seller and ask what the hell have you bought (if it was any variant of the S9 at all.. somehow I doubt it).
2nd: write down the IMEI and serial number, and check with Samsung if this configuration ever existed (if not, what I suppose, the IMEI/sn info about the REAL model can give you a hint what have you bought).
Having the above info in hands, find the "service firmware", 5 files ROM for your device and try to flash it.
If it will not work still, I'm afraid you have two options:
1. check IMEI against stolen devices with your carrier.
2. Go to Samsung service asking for help.

(if it was any variant of the S9 at all.. somehow I doubt it).

Well mostly it isn't a fake mediatek phone as it will not even have a download mode.
Probably he bought a shi**ily refurbished phone with it's internals mixed from multiple versions of the s9, in the best case.(a Frankenstein variant of the S9)

I'm going to solve this mystery for both of you. The phone he bought is indeed an S9. Here in Pakistan, 'software' guys in shops can convert these to dual sim models with some z3x and Chimera f*kery.
As for why his phone isn't working - it is because the phone had a tampered IMEI to bypass local custom charges levied on all imported phones (insane charges, doubles the price of these kinda phones). Once he flashed a new image on his phone, his IMEI status would have become NG instead of OK, which prevents the phone from accessing any networks.
Solution is to visit the same 'software' guys, ask them to 'patch' the phone. It is a 5 minute process, requires root (which these phones already have).
