Question Battery status mis-match - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Here is a new one that I have not seen before. The status bar shows my battery at 87%, yet settings or a battery apps shows 77%
See this pic for an example.

I am running AccA in Magisk as well as some tweaks via the AOSP mod. Not sure why either of those would cause this problem.
One more thing, status bar is accurate after a reboot.
Any suggestions?

Are you using either 3MinitBatteryMod or something else to get the particular status bar battery you're using, or is it stock?

def not stock on my view

I'm using the AOSP mod to tweak the status bar. I will try disabling the module.

That will fix the issue for sure!

I removed the mod and things got worse. The status bar showed 0%. The clock has been showing the wrong timezone too.
Im going to wait for the May patch and hope that fixes whatever broke.

I think at this point I would be paranoid and want to do a full wipe with the factory image. You could always try without wiping and see if it helps though, or use this while unchecking any option to wipe: Official Google Android Flash Tool (OEM Unlocking needs to be toggled on - you may not have to manually unlock the bootloader - the "site" will do that on its own).

Sounds like you broke something, maybe updating will fix it, maybe it won't. Just start again.

Closing out this thread. I tried reinstalling the April update with no-wipe. That didnt help.
Installed April update with wipe and restoring all 191 apps via Swiftback up from the cloud. Also made sure I backed up all my other data (pics, music, etc) to my PC storage.
I applied the Magisk modules after the restore was done. I am not in good shape for the May update that is due out today. Plan to flash the May update with -nowipe.
Thanks for the suggestions and feedback.
Edit:. All is good after the full wipe.

I looked there.. my developer options are off and theres only the overlay for GPU and CPU.. not system information
Just an update.. going into settings i looked under application management.
There is an application running called "System Info" that seem to be the cause of this issue. stopping the application fixes the issue but it loads up again when restarted. Any way to kill that app for good?
You could try turning off developer options and see if that doesn't take care of it.
Other than that, only thing I can suggest is to start from fresh slate. By that I mean,
Wipe
Cache
Dalvik cache
Factory Reset
System
Flash Rom
Reboot
Wait at least 10 min
Reboot
Done
I grabbed these instructions from Rushing's page in link in my signature below and increased the wait time because the new jb4.1.2 release is rather large and does take a while to "settle".

There's often a disable button in the same place if it's not a service.
OTOH, this isn't happening with other folks so it only follows that if you start with a thoroughly clean slate, chances are you're likely to get the same results.
Thanks for all of your help so far. I am trying the reset steps again now.
From what I have been researching, My device is stuck in Factory Mode. there are 3 Apps, Factory Mode, Factory Test and System Info that i believe are the root of the issue. I found a way to disable them from boot, but Thats not really resolving the issue.. More like a band aid... so I will keep researching.. Ill let you know how it goes.

What Could Be Causing This High Usage Of Data While On Mobile Network?

So I was driving back yesterday and my phone notifies me that I'm reaching my data limit. I thought, "That's odd, I've only used 0.1 GB". So I look down and see this monstrosity of data being used by the damn Android OS. How the heck can you see what would individually be using data in the "Android OS" package cause it could be any number of things. I'm guessing it could have been a system update pull but I did disable OTA updates in developer settings. I have root as well and I would like to freeze that process with Titanium Backup if anyone knows what that process might be on the Pixel. Also any other suggestions as how to further troubleshoot this would be appreciated.

It's the update pull even though you are updated. We have seen this a few times with others. Get it updated.

Well when I go to system update and choose to install update it says that it failed. Any advice on that? Can you not properly install updates while rooted?
In terms of updating to the latest OTA I followed How To Geeks - FlashFire Guide which put my device into a endless bootloop so I don't recommend doing that.
Still looking to see if anyone knows what to freeze in Titanium Backup on Pixel to block OTA updates from downloading. Thanks.

You must of modded something that is stopping it. There is a way to sideload the OTA, but the third post in the thread below is how I do it each month. Have ro reroot afterwards.
Pay attention to the part where you remove the-w from flashall bat file. That is what saves your data.

I ended up flashing the original stock ROM off Google's website and then went threw the systemless root methods mentioned here.
I now have the below:
Android: 7.1.1 ROM: Factory (Rooted) Kernel: 3.18.31-ElementalX-P-1.08 Build: NOF27B
im having tons of data through the same thing. I ran a data manager app and it said its google.uid.system:1000 . I reset the rom to original as I have not installed any other rom then googles originals. I have some of the highest data downloads its crazy. I even turned off back up picture folders. Here is the data.

Android OS using lots of data

Noticed my Android OS is using almost 1gb of which doesn't seem right.

Any ideas?
Edit 3: Updating will fix this properly.
Edit 2: That didn't fix it...
Edit: I've seemed to "fix" it. From my reading it is a background service trying to do a seamless update in the background. I disabled "com.qti.service.colorservice" using titanium backup and restore and it seems my background data usage has stopped. No negative consequences so far but it may prevent seamless updates. Another fix would probably be updating to the latest patch version...
Idk but I hope you get an answer... Been killing my battery.

That would make sense if he was on stock but if he's using Titanium Backup his phone is rooted and might have other modifications. Flashing the latest factory image or if he's on a custom ROM doing a clean flash of the ROM would probably be the best idea under the circumstances.

It has been a while but I'll reply so anyone else who comes will know. My state before and after was the same. All that changed was my OS version. Flashed the flash-all.sh after removing the -w, flashed the April bootloader (so no boot signing stuff, not the safest or recommended thing), booted TWRP, flashed twrp, flashed supersu, and then rebooted. No other mods besides adaway.
Are you on stock, rooted or unlocked bootloader? I had the same issue on stock (unlocked bootloader) where it was trying download an update repeatedly. I had to actually flash a custom rom to make it stop. Verizon did credit me back for the data it used.
Feel free to read my forum post there and try those steps. - https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/1500910#1500910

Then you might not have any choice but to side load your latest OTA or factory reset since your not rooted. ??

Question Update v11.2.1.1LE15AA/Global notification available after update is already installed

I'm getting notification this morning about Update v11.2.1.1LE15AA/Global available. Weird thing is I'm already on that update. When I try to download it again I get this...
I did install it via local upgrade after grabbing the OTA file.
What's going on here?

I got the same update request after I had already updated to that version. For me though, it let me perform the requested update.
Same issue as OP... notification to install after it's already installed and it will not re-install. Not sure how to clear the nagging for now, hah. I can force stop play services to make it go away, but it doesn't last (not a good solution anyway).

You can turn off the notification alert under notification setting under that popup. but that's weird nonetheless.

Right right, that is actually what I did eventually do... hopefully this is sorted soon
The 2nd update installed for me. I'm reading it's related to the issue with the device not being play protect certified and GPay and Netflix not working. Some people report the update resolves that issue for them, but it didn't for me.
I wish it would install for me so I didn't have to turn off the notification.
You know, I'm rather curious. What if it's not the same update? When I look under build number in 'about phone' ,the 1.1 portion isn't in the number itself. That's what's confusing me about this. it's driving me nuts because it won't install, because I'm rooted. normally in magisk manager, you can temporarily uninstall magisk, but it doesn't seem to work in the newest Canary.
Are you all 100% sure that the 1.1 update isn't the same one that we already have installed on the device when it shipped? I've had my phone for only 2 days)
