Hello,
I have got a second hand LE2120 device. Everytime it vibrates, it restarts the phone. Even if I turn off the vibrates it happens randomly 2-3 times in a day.
The guy I bought the phone said that it happened after upgrading OOS 12, however I don't trust him. I wonder if anybody face this issue before? Is it software problem or hardware problem.
Thanks for your help..

Anyone face this issue before?
Flash your phone with MSM tool, if it keeps happening on OOS11 too, you bought a defective device.
Mine power off it self. Nothing workt untill i use MSM tool.
Any other experience?

Hi, I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere and yes i know the bootloop issue is a big problem but i wondered if anyone else has been semi-successful like me. First off the other day my phone rebooted and ended up in a bootloop except the screen never goes completely blank it just dims and comes back on. I did a hard reset and it starts working again for a few days. Then when i connect to wifi it will reboot all of a sudden and be fine until it reboots again and i have to hard reset for another few days. sometimes when looping it will get to the updating apps screen then when it finishes it loops again.
Is this the standard bootloop or does it seem like something different?
Sorry if this is just another repeat of an old issue it just seems to be slightly different from what i have read about the bootloop caused by the known hardware issue. Also the first 3 digits of the serial are 507 if this helps.

Maybe yours is jut preparing for proper bootloop maybe the pins on the bigger qualcomm chip still connect to the motherboard from time to time so you manage to get it booting. Though I wouldn't call it a working device so I would suggest you to start working with LG to have it fixed.

Dont play around with it too much it might get permanently bricked ur best option now is to flash a lollipop kdz root it then apply the disable core method to working it again ofcourse the phone will be slow ...or u could just send it to lg for replacement or repair...check youtube for disable core method for g4
I have just plugged it into Lg bridge and run the update error recovery. It hasn't rebooted when connecting to wifi yet but if it does I'm just going to phone LG to sort out a repair and buy a temp phone to use while that happens. I just don't want to do anything that could affect warranty although usually, the warranty would be out the window on day 1 with me
It just seems weird that every time I have seen it reboot it was when it connected to wifi.
Hello, It's not the first time I'm having this problem:
When I make a call it says connecting but nothing happens, when I try to hang up it says Ending call and nothing happens.
I tried to force stop process but not sure which one is it, only restart helps me.
Anyone else experienced this? What is that about? Software bug or carrier error?

Hi,
Me and my girlfriend have the G4 international version, she still has the V20D soft version, i did an upgrade to v20g but still having the same issue. For us it is completely random, and whe it happens the only solution i found out for restarting the phone is to lock the screen, and while its locked push and hold the power button. After a few secs it will offer to restart /etc..
I also have a problem with charging, it takes az least like 4-5 hours to charge from 30-100%. My GF does not have the battery issue, just the stuck after call..
Pls reply me if you have some soulution related to this error. I will do the same
i have the same problem!now i flash v20i,lets if the problem appear again.
Try covering the top of the phone with your palm and then un-covering. Then hold it away from your face and anything.
Hello guys,
I just bought a brand new A5 2017 from a carrier centre and it restarts on an almost hourly basis. It works for maybe 1 or 2 hours normal, and then restarts by itself. When it boots up, I get messages of random apps crashing and then it restarts again. Once it restarted within minutes of each boot. I don't know the reason for this.
I have tried hard reset, soft reset, even flashing an AP firmware from Germany (I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina), but with no luck. The phone just restarts when it wants.
Also tried safe mode, the same problem persists.
Any advice?

Try stock recovery and do factory reset. Vol. up, home and power buton. Btw. i think they are selling sh.t to eastern Europe (im from Croatia). I had bootloop on second day with A5 (2017). CPU was hot as hell. Recovery did not work, only desplaying error. But after 4-5 reset it came to normal. I was sending error log to samsung, they never answerd.

I did the reset with the vol up, home and power button about 5 times, and I still run into restarts. I really like the phone and wouldn't turn it back unless I had to. Do you have any more advice? Thanks!

Yes. After a gazillion factory resets (soft and hard), I performed a repair (initialization, if that's what the Smart Switch calls it) of the phone through the Smart Switch. It booted up and all was well until it restarted again. Next thing that I did was: wipe everything via a hard reset, and then repair the phone through Smart Switch. This was about 2-3 hours ago. Did run into 2 crashes (Google Play Services and Chrome) but I think it was related to the syncing, but no restarts and I hope not in the future.
Im glad to hear that. That was a softweare problem.

Just to give you an update. Unfortunately, the phone restarted again today, so I returned it to the carrier. They said they will send it for testing, and that I will most likely get a new device. Seems that it actually wasn't a software problem; my guess is that EMMC has a fault.

Good you did not go for root.
Hello everybody,
Yesterday I was on my phone and when I went home using the navigation gesture the phone all of a sudden rebooted, and I thought "Okay, it's just a one time error". When the cellphone booted again it showed the logo and then black screen and a WhiteLED on, it seemed bricked, so I reset the whole phone and it was alive again. However, once again today the same thing happened, no root, no mods, all stock. Has this happened to anybody else ? Do you guys think it's a hardware matter or just software ?
P.S: Happened when I was on Open Beta 10 and this time on OOS 5.1.3. Can't boot into the system nor Recovery, fastboot is fine.
*Update: Phone is now completely dead, won't even turn on
Thanks.

Me too, I remember having an LG G4 back in the day that wouldn't pass 6 months without having to change the mobo, it might be a similar case.
This may sound a little strange has anyone ever encounted the problem where their phone will not shut down. Holding in the power button and choosing shut down just restarts it. Choosing shut down from fastboot also just restarts it. I even tried locking the bootloader with the December update , but it still happens..... Strange

Is it plugged in when this happens? If so, try again with the cable disconnected. Else, it's think this means a sticky power button.
Thank you, but it happens unplugged. It says shutting down..... Turns off for about 3 to 4 seconds..... Then the white screen to boot..... If it was a sticky button, wouldn't to keep going to the power menu?
Have you tried rebooting to safe mode then seeing of you can shutdown? If it works in safe mode, it's probably an app causing a weird glitch.
Same thing happened to me a few months ago, solved with a factory reset.
Did this get resolved, I have a pixel3 that will only stay turned off of the charger cable is connected. everything else works fine.
Latest Android 11, multiple factory resets and still will not stay shutdown.
Power button does not seem to be stuck, doubletap for camer works flawlessly and so does any other function I can think of.

I was in repair shop and they told me it's hardware problem and needs expensive repair. I refused to repair. Phone still works and will see what will happened.
