Request: Adding additional swipe gesture(s) - Nova Launcher

Up until yesterday, my Huawei P30 Pro was running EMUI 11.
I have Nova Launcher set to 'Expand notifications' when I swipe down. This has been fine up to now, because 'Quick settings' were available above the notifications, and I could swipe down a second time to access the full 'Quick settings' menu.
However, my phone updated to EMUI 12 last night.
Now, you need to swipe down from the very top-left to open the notification tray, and swipe down from the very top-right to open 'Quick settings'.
Within Nova Settings, there is a 'Swipe down' gesture, which I have retained as 'Expand notifications' but I use 'Quick settings' a lot (to change brightness, orientation lock etc.) and now, I have to specifically swipe from the very top-right of the screen to access these, requiring me to use two hands.
My request is one of the following, if possible:
Two new gestures: Swipe down on left side of screen (I can map this to 'Expand notifications') and Swipe down right side of screen (I can map this to 'Quick settings')
Within the current 'Swipe down' gesture, allow us to swipe down a second time to do something else (in my case, first swipe down would 'Expand notifications', second swipe down would display 'Quick settings'

Tasker: Activate samsung multi window side bar

I'm just playing around with the multi window feature of my samsung stock rom.
I managed to open to apps side with tasker:
In short: tasker + "AutoShorkut" addin opens a "MW Shortcuts" shortcut.
This works just good and stable with one drawback: Apps seems to be closed before they are started in the side by side view.
For me, that was not enough.
Opening manually with the side bar wont close apps.
So I thought I want to automate the sidebar actions. I already can simulate touchscreen taps with the shell command "input tap x1 x2". I tried to use "input swipe ..." to bring the sidebar to the front but no luck... Is there any other chance to bring the side bar to the front out from a tasker script? I'm also wasn't able to simulate a long back button press. This seems to be the alternative to show the side bar beside a screen swipe.
I've found a solution:
1. Wait 500ms
2. Run Shell -> "input swipe 2559 700 700 700 500" -> timeout = 4 seconds -> use root = true
Afterwards I am selecting the app I wanna open with "input tap ...". The icon position of the app has to be constant, of course
So for here, I managed to automate samsung's split multi window feature. Hope it helps for you. (press thanks )

Step 1: Head to Settings menu and then choose Apps.
Step 2: Press the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and choose Default Apps > Assist & voice input.
Step 3: Tap the Assist option and choose None from the pop-up menu.
The current selection is Google, which means that the Google Now shortcut on the lock screen will be replaced. And now for that caveat: Changing this setting also disables long-pressing the Home button to open Google Now on Tap.
If you change your mind, you can always switch the Assist app back to Google.
Thanks you very very much.
I solve the problem.
Happy new week

Question Get old OnePlus gestures back?

Coming from a OP7Pro, I have to say that these new Google gestures suck. Can no longer swipe from the sides to call up a side menu in various apps because swiping in from the sides now takes me back. I miss the old gestures where everything was done from the bottom:
Swipe up, bottom left/right: back
Swipe up, center: home
Swipe up and hold, center: recent apps
Trying to find a way to get those back but can't. Thought I hit the jackpot with the process in the link below, but I have an issue afterwards where swiping up from left/right of bottom combines both back and home commands and always takes me home.
Anybody have any ideas?
Revert back to old swipe gestures on OnePlus in Android 10 (OxygenOS 10) update
Here is how to get th old swipe gestures from Android 9 Pie on OnePlus phones running Android 10 (OxygenOS 10). Revert back to old Oxygen OS swipe gesture navigation on OnePlus 5/6/7/8.
www.androidsage.com
I think this method just disables the "swipe from left/right = back" function.
It does not enable "swipe up from bottom left or bottom right = back" like in the good old days.
I'm coming from a one+ 6... So also an adjustment for me...
I think OnePlus is trying to default all the things, left and right swipe is Google's implementation.
Me too i'm coming from a OP6 and want those gestures back, i already made a suggestion on OP site but i don't think it will happen since there were people on op8 who also wanted them but didn't get it.
Also with gestures app, i couldn't hide the navigation button bar with adb command so it wont work too
I personally like swipe from side for back. What they could do is make it work only in bottom 2/3 of the screen while the top 1/3 would be for bringing up hamburger menus. That's how it was with my old honor (which I hated) but this one feature really made sense.

Actually I think that method do bring back corner swipe = back gesture, the problem is that swipe up from bottom = home takes the whole bottom, it will get triggered with the back gesture.
You can confirm that by swipe from corner slowly, if you careful enough, you can only trigger back without trigger home action, or at least see two gestures are being triggered at once. Another proof is that after getting back home by swipe up from corner, if you open the app from recent apps switch, you can see that the app indeed got a back action(return to last page)
So I think if we can find a way to narrow the range for bottom swipe = home action, we can get this to work almost perfectly.

I have no idea what you mean dude
With Fluid Gestures, I have 3 areas at the bottom.
Left is back.
Middle is Home and Recent apps with Swipe&Hold
Right area is Back
And then I also have the Right Side set up to switch between apps.
See screenshots.

Nice, thanks for the tip. I'll try this. I have previously tried gesture apps but since Google removed that overscan item starting with 10/11 that rendered 3rd party gesture apps useless, they didn't work and I gave up. But I did not try with substratum or run in to that thread you linked.

Got it working. It wasn't working initially, then I realized I had to change from Gestures to Nav Bar Navigation within the phone settings. Thanks so much! It's getting closer to feeling like my 7 Pro!

What I mean is by using "settings put system op_gesture_button_side_enabled" method you do get the swipe up from bottom left or bottom right = back gesture. The only problem is you will always trigger swipe up from bottom = home/recent gesture alone with it, so it seems swipe up from bottom corner is not working.
I think if we can find some way to change the swipe up from bottom = home/recent gesture area, just trigger it by swipe up from bottom center we might get the original OP7 gesture to work.
Tell me the system version number, maybe I can make changes

Sorry, misread.
I thought you were talking about the NoNavbar route.
That's true.
The "settings put..." method does not work.
I do not think you can alter the bottom area to consist of 3 different touch area's. Left, center, right. And change the width of them.
But the link I provided does work.
Substratum lite, NoNavbar, Fluid Gestures.
I am using it right now...

We don't have to split the bottom area to three parts, just limit the home/recent gesture to center so it wont be triggered by swipe up from bottom corner should do the trick.

I love you.
I like "Lift phone to ear to answer a call" gesture.
I posted on Oneplus. They answer to talk to Google...
O posted on Google.., no answer.
I upgraded from OxygenOS (android 10) to KOSP 2.3 (running android 12) on my OnePlus 7 Pro. Everything about KOSP is better than OEM OOS except the stock A12 gestures. I wanted to run "Vivid Navigation Gestures" but the damn navbar was baked into the ROM.
This was the first solution I found that worked to hide the navbar! Thanks for posting!

Old style back, home and recent button

Hi, is there a way to add the 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen for the back, home and recent apps that I used to have on me s21+ I'm now using pixel 7 pro and no back button is killing me haha, I will attach a photo of the buttons I mean, thanks Ian
On Android 13 there is a setting to bring back 3 button navigation.

Would love this if you know where I can find it, thanka
Found it, thank you very much
Short guide:
Tap the Settings icon to launch the Settings app. Scroll down and tap on Accessibility.
Scroll down to the Interaction Controls section and tap System controls.
Tap System navigation.
Tap 3-button navigation or Gesture navigation.
Tap the Settings button next to Gesture navigation to change the sensitivity of the screen to the Back swipe gesture. Use the Left edge and Right edge sliders to tune it
Might there also be a setting (maybe within Nova?) to switch the return and app buttons? On my galaxy they were the other way around and it's quite annoying on my pixel 7 pro :')

Question How do I open apps in split screen?

Using the 3 buttons (not gestures) I can access running apps list and pin the first choice to the top half of the screen. After that the running apps list will no longer appear to allow choosing the second app. I don't know that it should, just been a samsung user so I expected to be that way).
The lower half of the split screen shows the top of the home screen. If I leave app shortcuts there they will open in the lower half of the screen. I'm not too keen on configuring my home screen with shortcuts to apps I might use in split screen along the top.
Hopefully I'm just missing some not to obvious method to control this function. Any suggestions?
