Screen mirroring works in SkyDragon.

Works in LineageOS 15.1, too.

I tried november builds and the latest one,NOT working,soft reboot every time.

Means something is wrong with your setup or your phone, nothing wrong with the ROM.
Ofcourse you are not alone in this. I have seen multiple posts that screen mirroring is not working on Pie ROMs including on SkyDragon. But it works on my phone and on others' also.

I don't know what you mean,I tried It after formatting and doesn't work on PIE,but works on Oreo OOS after a simple wipe...same story on msm extended

As I said, screen mirroring works but not casting, in Pie. The dev of Nitrogen OS said that Mircast is not available in Pixel 2XL on stock ROM since Google removed it. He says that Chromecast will work but not Miracast.

Fingerprint not working on LOS 17.1

Hey there, can't get my fingerprint to work on LOS 17.1, it's like it's there, but it doesn't react to anything. When I go to the fingerprint settings, it ask me to touch it in order to setup the thing, but when I place my finger on it, it does nothing. Did anyone ever heard of this issue or any fix for it? Thanks in advance.

Ask the one who built your ROM. 17.1 is not official, yet. Or try a lower android version

Yes, I have the same symptoms. Which ROM are u using?

nearly the same here.. the circle goes around and is registered - until the last bit - then it fails... every time.

it depends on the LOS version and the developer. My ANE-LX1 is running LOS 17.1-unoff., fingerprint works like a charm .

Kinda mystic.. I used the losq-v224-201017-arm64-bgN.img and it won't work at all.. got ANE-LX1 hw/eu version.

Maybe you are doing something wrong, hm?

actually I now stumbled upon an Android 11 custom treble GSI that I have installed - and it works just fine.. gapps and fingerprint.. Might be my daily driver if it continues running smoothly as it does right now.

Bluetooth
Setting a lock screen
AUX / Line Out
Encryption
Gallery speed
Limitations of the current Lineage version:
VoLTE is disabled (will unfortunately not be able to fix that easily)
Dual SIM is not working (for devices that have Dual SIM)
Speakers do not sound as good as on stock
Camera is not as good as stock
Battery life when the screen is on is better on stock than on Lineage

Hello Chris, first of all, thanks for continuing on 18.1. I installed the rom and it booted fine. The set-up was buggy and laggy an kept crashing on setting up screen pattern. So I can't set screen pattern/pincode/password. Also I installed some apps from play store like whatsapp,gmail, telegram and they are doing fine. The phone gets hot and battery drains fast. Ambient display is a bit buggy, it's not working everytime. Anyways for the first build it's quite good. Thanks again
Maybe anybody else can also test?

Yes, setting up lock screen is broken. Will fix it in next build.

Dear Chris, everything is superb, but the function of broadcasting the screen in the quick settings menu does not work when connected (miracast) the phone is overloaded

I think bluetooth headsets are broken.

I can confirm that, it connects with my Haylou GT1 Pro but no sound.

Fixed. Uploading new build that fixes bluetooth and screen lock.
Note: If you have previously tried to setup lock screen, you will have to reset device (factory reset/wipe). Otherwise the device will crash right after bootanim stops. Sorry for that!!!

Can it be dirty flashed or should we do a clean install? It's cumbersome working with LOS recovery so the less I have to deal with it the better. Other than recovery it's a nice smooth rom. Thanks again

I did a clean install. Since I have two of these phones I'm using this one for testing purposes for now and have 14.1 on the other one for daily use. At some point I'll change over to the 18.1 phone. I really like that dark theme is enabled on this rom that 14.1 never had It helps save battery.

which version of magisk will work?

Seems to work fine in the U.S. on wifi. I'll let it run for a while to make sure it's stable. It appears to be running 1080p.

Netflix working here in the Netherlands, but the phone is lagging and takes time to open apps. Also I think battery was better in 17.1

In the camera I've noticed there's no icon to save to sdcard. also unless they've change snap camera I can't get the back or home button to come up to exit camera. I have to long press the power button to get access to home icon.

Swipe down from top to see home button. Save to sd card did not work on 17.1 so he removed the icon. Thanks for helping me find new forum!
Link to gapps is not working here.
Sorry for partial reposting this from 17.1 forum. Seems very functional on WiFi. Phone does not read VZW SIM on boot and can't pick up APN. I had to choose VZWINTERNET APN. Then LTE works for 30 seconds. Data drops for maybe a minute, then falls back to 3G which works. If LTE worked I think we would be golden.
Also get "DM config update keeps stopping" error. Not sure if this is related to SIM. I used NikGapps but don't think it is related.
Photos can not access SD card but Files has no problem. Edit. My bad. Photos works fine.

Get a logcat when your trying to use LTE for Chris. I don't have a sim in my 18.1 phone or I would.

Link to MindTheGapps from OP is obsolete and updated link found on LOS link. I used NikGapps before and started over with clean flash using MindTheGapps but found it made no difference. Phone still does not read VZW SIM on boot and can't pick up APN. I had to again manually choose VZWINTERNET APN. Then LTE works for 30 seconds. Data drops for maybe a minute, then falls back to 3G which works and I get about 2 Mbps. Continue to get error "DM config update keeps stopping". I now believe this is related.
Has anybody yet tried TWRP from 17.1 thread?
Advanced restart is missing from developer options.
Addendum: I put in my ATT SIM. It found the APN and imported it correctly. It started LTE and similarly died. Data never came back at a lower rate.

LineageOS (18.1) colors becoming corrupted too often to be usable. Any permanent fix besides ditching LineageOS?

So this is a problem it seems everyone encounters. If there is a fix posted here I've missed it. The colors become corrupted so often it's unusable IMO. I usually have to reboot. So I'm rebooting all the time. I really need to find a way to fix this or I have to go back to stock.
Maybe this is why Lineage 17 is stickied. I need to read that now. Thank you.

I have just flashed the latest build "lineage-18.1-20210829-nightly-channel-signed" and am still getting the same problem. Any ideas on how to fix please?

Well the problem continues and seems to have gotten worse.
After some months, I've updated to lineage-18.1-20210912. The problem is still there and seems worse, happening more often randomly. Only solution is as before switch from natural to saturated (vice versa) untill your frustrated.
As this is my mums phone, can't ask her to keep doing that. May have to return to stock which I dont really want.
Tbh, I'd be frustrated too.

I'm also curious about the other roms based on 17.1/18.1, are they having the same problem?

It appears to be lineage at fault as whilst experimenting I have successfully flashed BlissRoms, ArrowOS and my favourite Resurrection Remix and all are fine. I have stuck with Resurrection Remix with no problems to date. I have not flashed it with GAPPS but can run a few things like outlook, dropbox and other by downloading apks from APKMirror.

No. I just recieved 18.1 20220101-NIGHTLY-ocean update. Same issue from time to time. NO PERMANENT FIX....

Try this:
System - Buttons
( long-press all buttons, to see menu)
Back long press action-Kill foreground app
Home long press action-Kill foreground app
Recent long press action-Kill foreground app.
I did this 3 hrs ago, still working.

Update: Last night I reinstalled Majisk and Root Checker,and suddenly this morning, my screen was flickering, with psychedelic colors again
I instantly removed both, and da da, the colors were beautiful again???
Just saying.... we'll see what happens.
I no longer have Root, but the colors are beautiful.

Used to have this problem but haven't seen it in weeks. I'm guessing if you poke around in the settings you can find some fix

how about the performance in games with resurrection or do you recommend another rom?

Same thing here. I flashed 3 phones g7 Play that I did choose because they are in the list of supported phones in the Lineage OS list. All three have the same issue. Apparently, switching battery save mode on and off an then locking/unlocking the screen very reliably triggers the problem. But it will appear also spontaneously after a short while.

Tried a lot of different settings.all eventually failed.

I found a zip named LiveDisplay,that seems to help. Flashed mine through FKM, Franco Kernel Manager.

Exact name is "g7_power_livedisplay_fix.zip".

Please give me a download link. Search in the browser unfortunately did not return results. Found only for Moto G5S

I used Franco Kernel Manager to download the zip. If you are rooted, just install Franco Kernel Manager and look for "g7_power_livedisplay_fix.zip.
I recently installed Pixel Experience, but I am considering going back to Lineages now that 19 is available for Moto G7 Power.

I think Lineage OS 19 has corrected the Display issue, perhaps you should also just consider updating . Just a thought.

Question GSI for red magic 8 pro

I used the GSI images from the link https://developer.android.com/topic/generic-system-image/releases but it did not work. If you use a different GSI images and it works could you please give me the link to it. Thanks.

Can you elaborate on "didn't work"?
Wouldn't flash? Flashed but wouldn't boot? I was holding out hope for this option because i think official updates will be limited.

I could not boot my magic 8 pro with the GSI images. It just stuck at the fastboot mode.

Have you tried the "Treble Info" app from the play store? It provides links to some GSI builds. They don't seem to be as new as what you linked here.

No I did not try the "Treble info" app.

LineageOS TD-based was updated on 25 Mar with some SM8550 patches an AndyYan said "RedMagic 8 Pro/+ might want to try this out too". I saw something for audio but not sure what else. If anyone previously tried it and couldnt get Calls/Data/SMS and has success now with the updated IMGs could you post your findings?

Did your flash vbmeta.img b4 the GSI system.img?

I managed to get 3 A13 GSIs working, I think they were Lineage, Project Elixir and Nusantara. Was around 2months ago so may have not remembered correctly. But for all three of them calls and texts weren't working normally.

Probably QSSI (==CAF/CLO GSI) would work better, but who knows
