I am using a k40 gaming enhanced edition running stock MIUI ver 13.0.1.
When i got this phone, it was running stock MIUI 12.5.x.
The device is not certified on google, i did try the GSF method. but it still doesnt work.
Is there anyone with the same problem and able to solve it?
you're in the wrong forum here, look here for your device
if you are rooted, you need to hide it
if you are not rooted, you need to lock the bootloader

I tried to add a card to my Android Pay and got this message: Android Pay can't be used on this device. I didn't rood my Mix 2 nor use custom ROM. Perhaps, Xiaomi made bootloader unlocked?
I was able to run it and add and verify my cards, but I never used it at POS.

I think in stock there is an areas under more settings that will tell you if you have an unlocked bootloader. You are probably better off going to the EU ROM anyways.

Yes, it's in ... Development options -> Mi Unlock status and my is "Unlocked". I thought I have the Global version (I can access Google Play and I have lots of languages). How to verify that? Can I lock my bootloader?

If you can add and verify cards, that mean yours is working. I can run the app but not able to add cards. I just found out my bootloader is unlocked. Can you see if your's is locked or unlock?
I can add cards and pass the safety net checks. Doesn't work though...

In the NFC/secure element settings, are you using HCE? If it's using embedded secure element it definitely won't work...but with HCE you may have better luck.
Also...not sure if it matters but make sure the battery optimization is off for all the Google apps and that autostart is allowed maybe?
Just tried it at whole foods. Works

Thank you! Seems need to get rid of android 8 on stable chinese ROM and reflash it back to 7.1.1 on stable global
not work with Mix 2S global ROM stable...
Unfortunately, my pixel C has now also got the problem that I can enter my unlock code on the lockscreen without unlocking the device. It's nice that the problem has been known for a long time and that Google is not doing anything about it.
Therefore, I now have no other option than to reinstall my Pixel C to get access to it again.
I want to switch directly to a custom ROM.
Is there a recommendation here? It should be stable and if possible, an update to Android 8.1 via dirty flash should be possible.
Is there a recommended ROM or should I take an 8.1 beta and update it later to official (dirty flash if possible)?
Do custom ROMs have the same problem to lock you out of the device despite correct unlock code?

I have always been disabling the lockscreen so i can't tell you about that, but i use Remix OS 3.0 (unfortunately not further supported and based on marshmallow) I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to you, but since I don't know if there is a fix for meltdown/sepctre you should wait till somebody will give some information to that in my meltdown/spectre thread.
Good morning good people of xda.
I have Xiaomi mi6 MIUI version 11.0.3 Stable android version 9PKQ1
So I wanted to install Google Pay and it showed me that it's not for my phone or something along those lines.
My question is if there is any way to install and use the Google Pay application on this phone.
Preferably without having to install custom rom or anything of that sort because I kind of bricked my last phone doing that.
(kind of = I did exactly that, rip my sweet Nexus 5x you will be forever missed)
I appreciate the help, and if you are still reading this I wish you a good day and best of luck in your journey through life.
also: I tried searching on the main page for this problem but only phones pop up and was unable to find the right thread for my problem, so sorry if its already answered.
There might be a solution if you're willing to give the xiaomi.eu ROM a shot, which based on the MIUI Chinese Beta, just without Ads. I used to have this ROM installed for my MI 6, which enabled GPay to run flawlessly. Note that it's a third party ROM by a team in Poland, not by Xiaomi itself. So if you're in, TWRP is required. The only problem for xiaomi.eu ROM on MI 6 is that, the phone is neither encrypted by default nor to be encrypted through system settings. I think there's already solutions in XDA forum to fix that, by changing system build.
Due to the fact I'm a freshman in the XDA forum, I'm not allowed to post any outside links. Be sure to Google search xiaomi.eu yourself.
Wish that helps.
I rooted my xiaomi mi 11 lite primarily because I want to get rid of everything google in there. I later found out that I need to have signature spoofing enabled in my rom and nanoDroid has to be installed through custom recovery. Which is kinda heart breaking since this device does not have custom recovery yet.
I came across this post which mentions that one can enable signature spoofing in their device. I lack basic knowledge about android and its customizations (ex ios user) so am scared to brick or break my device. There was also a mention of deodexed device (its hard even to pronounce that)
Since this device does not have a custom rom yet, my concern is can I enable signature spoofing in stock miui rom ( its rooted) and eventually replace Gapps with microG somehow? Help is much appreciated.
Please someone help!
Is this too noob a question to not make a pro even bother to answer or is this forum just dead. Or this question doesn'nt even belong here? I won't know since Im new to all this.
I guess we should just wait until this phone have a custom recovery to fix your problem.
Try use GSI rom

Background Info -
I purchased my 16GB x 512GB Mi MIX Fold from a reputable supplier on Alibaba. It was claimed that he was capable of making it have a "Global" ROM (a 5 - 7 day process is how long it took him). All Google services and apps were preloaded, just like my first Xiaomi Global phone I purchased 1.5 years ago. As well as only some of the Xiaomi Global apps. Now that I have the phone, I am running into a fair bit of issues (in this post I am only focusing on one). I did bring these all up to the supplier (of course including updating the ROM issues), all without much help. All he gave me was he said the ROM on my phone is actually the EEA version that was modified, and of I need any updates, go on www.xiaomi.eu. So not much help, because come to find out, they don't support the Mi MIX Fold and that there is no ROMs available. Including the current ROM my phone has right now - V12.0.11.0.RJTCNXM ("Global").
What is nice about my phone is that all the system apps are the Global versions. But what's not so great is the System Apps Updater does not work at all. It shows there are update(s) available for my Global apps, but when I update them, they are indefinitely suck at "Connecting 0%". I also tried Xiaomi's "Get Apps" while switching my Region to "India", it too showed updates, and would not update them no matter what I tried. So, I search online for each individual system app, and update each manually (yes, the whole process is a pain).
So Where I Need Some Help (The Purpose Of This Post...Updating the ROM) -
So, I am in the process of trying to update my phone's ROM, to get the best MIUI has to offer for the Mi MIX Fold. I have searched all over the internet and the only ROMs I can find are "China" versions.
My current ROM version is V12.0.11.0.RJTCNXM ("Global"). I know the most up to date ROM is V12.0.21.0.RJTCNXM (but it's the "China" version). I would like to have the current ROM, but I have a strong feeling that I will loose all functionality of all my Global system apps. The Xiaomi Updater app unfortunately does not work at all. When checking for an update, it says "No updates available". When tapping "Download latest package", it says "Can't download update...Wait a minute or two and try again". When I tap "What's new", it says "You don't have permission to access the update log...". Please see screenshots for all of this. I even tried to update it another traditional Xiaomi way by using Mi PC Suite, which it couldn't even detect my phone when connected. So that doesn't work either.
So my attempts are as follows (at least 20 attempts). I downloaded every Stable Recovery ROM version as listed in the XDA Mi MIX forum titles "MIUI Updates Tracker (Mi MIX Fold)" I also downloaded every ROM version from a couple other sources. I tried to update the ROM (from the newest version to the oldest) using the Xiaomi Updater app through Recovery Mode. Every time it failed saying "Current version is invalid. You can only flash the latest stable ROM", or "Can't verify update...Can't install official ROM". So then I downloaded the ROMs directly from mirror links to Xiaomi's server. I did the same update procedure, they all failed. Does that mean I have to do it via Fastboot?
Last Thoughts -
I included some screenshots showing what the ROM is on my phone (and the outdated Android security update), and what message comes up with each update attempt.
Could you guys point me in the right direction and help me figure out how I can update my Mi MIX Fold to the most current ROM, preferably the EEA version (if possible), since there really is no such thing as a Global version? I would be extremely appreciative if someone can shed some light!
Hi my suggestions is to backup your data firstly from there download the latest fastboot stable of the rom. From there before anything make sure oem unlocked is there inside your phone if not you need to wait 167 hours to fastboot flash the rom. Guides of unlocking is online you can search for that. After that, download the miflash.exe file, that can also be found online and from there flash it with it to the latest Rom . Hope that helps. If you are still unsure , you can always search online of "Flashing with fastboot xiaomi Rom"

Thank you very much for your response!
OK, so it looks like I will have no choice but to get rid of the custom "Global" ROM for the China version. I do wonder though if I am going to lose out on anything as far as the Global system apps (but won't update, unless manually), or all the Google apps & services, or anything else. There of course are many benefits switching to the China ROM.
I'm just a little reluctant because of it being a China ROM being used on a phone in the US. And having features that only work in China and is not optimized for the Global market. As well as features usually found on a Global Xiaomi phone, would be missing or can't work at all. Maybe I am overthinking it all. Another concern is if the China ROM would have English as a language that can be choses. I assume so, but it would be a plus to know 100% before I make the plunge.
Only if I could play around with a Mi MIX Fold with a fresh install of the China ROM. See how different it really is compared to what I currently have. See what it comes with (apps & all) & what is or isn't compatible. My previous, & only Xiaomi phone, was the Global version of the Mi Note 10 Pro. So I have, I guess you can call it, a Xiaomi Global mindset. My Mi MIX Fold is my daily driver, I can't play too much around. Also if I do flash it with China ROM, I can't revert it back to the ROM it has now, since it seems to be custom. Unless I can somehow backup absolute everything, ROM and all.
I know this is a simple question, but what and how is the very best method to back everything up? To not only make sure no data is lost, but also to make the whole process faster when restoring everything.
Do you have any other suggestions or advice? I would appreciate it!
The custom global rom is not official and you will never get update.
I recommend you to mi flash the chines rom, but you will lose everything.
Google will be available the chines ROM.
bom Dia, como consigo essa rom global?
Obrigado

Hey Anas,
Since you tried both Roms, which one would you recommend?
For UAE, does VoLTE work?
