I tried the commands:
- fastboot bbk unlock_vivo
- fastboot bbk vivo_bsp unlock_vivo
- fastboot oem unlock
- fastboot flashing unlock
but with each different command it returns another issue
- with the bbk commands it says: "fastboot: usage: unknown command bbk"
- with the flashing unlock it says: "FAILED (remote: unknown command)"
- and with the oem unlock it says: ""FAILED (remote: unknown command)"
I have the oem unlock and usb debugging activaded also the last versions of adb, fastboot and the drivers but it's still not working
Hi there, I'm having the same issue. Have you been able to find a way around the problem?

So a quick thread here. Asus devices won't be unlocked by the common commands which are
Code:
Fastboot oem unlock
Fastboot oem unlock confirm
From now on, asus uses there own codes.
Here it is
Code:
Fastboot oem asus-go
Fastboot oem asus-go confirm
This is not a guide. If you use the old command it will return an error UNKNOWN COMMAND.
Thanks !

Hello all,
A blessed day to all and many thanks to those who will answer.
The phone is on a bootloop and I can enter bootloader mode via Volume Down+Power. Tapping recovery doesnt work.
fastboot devices is OK. It shows the device.
EDL method doesnt work. The COM PORT wont show up.
fastboot bbk unlock_vivo doesnt work FAILED: (remote: unclock fail.)
fastboot vivo_bsp unlock_vivo. Nothing happens except shows the help text.
fastboot oem unlock doesnt work FAILED: (remote: unknown command or device is locked)
Is there anyway to flash a binary file just like in ASUS phones?
How can I unlock my bootloader?
Thanks in advance.
I have tried running these in the fastboot:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flashing unlock
None of them works. The first command gives
Code:
Unable to open fastboot HAL
and the second one gives
Code:
Unrecognized command flashing unlock
.
I just want to root the phone. Overall, the phone seems great, but it is fested with nasty oem apps that I don't want to use. :crying:

Are you rooted your phone?
Did you enable 'OEM unlocking' in the developer options?
You can uninstall some apps this way

Hi there,
I try to install lineageos on my xperia xz2 compact but i dont manage to get the bootloader unlocked.
The rooting status says : Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes. so i thought it should be fine but in fastboot mode the command
Code:
fastboot oem unlock <unlockcode>
gives me:
Code:
...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.069s
I tried with flashtool (found this in some forums) but i get some error as well. Even though i am not sure to use this program properly and I also got some
"No device is registered in Flashtool. You can only flash devices."
error message there.
any ideas?
problem solved, I didn't know that I would have to enable "oem unlock" in the device's developper options. what a fail..
Hi.
I read, that I should be able to run VMs on my device. The Google Documentation says to run 'fastboot oem pkvm enable', but fastboot says
Code:
FAILED (remote: 'Unknown OEM command')
fastboot: error: Command failed
My fastboot is up to date (fastboot version 33.0.3-8952118). I am running the January 2023 Stock ROM...
Any ideas why this won't work? (I am already rooted...)
