Multi rom on honor 8 pro - emui and custom rom.

Hi everyone,
Can we install custom rom on top of emui 8.0 like multiple rom's, so that we can select the rom while booting up the device. Can this be possible?
Can we install openkirins aosp project treble on top of emui 8.0, so we can choose to use the rom of our choice and can be able to switch back emui whenever required?

Why is there no ROM with a decent camera (except stock and Xiaomi.EU) for RN8?

I mean, I understand that
a) custom ROM chefs like to cook with the latest Android version
b) there are no camera sources available because Xiaomi has not yet supported the latest Android version for the Redmi Note 8
However, the camera is one of the strong aspects of this phone. So it seems to me like a poor choice to abandon this function, just to be on the latest Android version.
In general, I was totally happy with custom ROMs on this phone (tried CrDroid and Havoc), but after a few weeks, the non-functioning of the camera made me go back to Xiaome (EU). Man, I would love to stay on a custom ROM, if it weren't for the camera!
If I'm not mistaken, then there is no way currently to use a custom rom and all cameras.
Why are ROM devs neglecting this essential function in favour of the latest Android?
Or is there a way to make them work?

Hi all! As I mention it, I just bought this cellphone completely new (it is the one that best suited my budget in my country) I had a Lenovo a6020 so I'm not so lost in the custom roms and modifications. How I said the is new so it has android 7, I already unlocked the boot and I have twrp in the latest version but I don't know if from android 7 (miui) I can jump directly to PE + 10. I have read but can't find if you need a previous version. Taking advantage of the theme and I hope it does not break the rules I will like to know if this rom (pixel expierence) incorporates a version of gcam, If not, which version do you recommend, or is the official camera better? Thank you all! Excuse my lousy English, I'm still learning

See firmware xda thread from link below to update to latest firmware and flash firmware when you flash your rom in custom recovery.

Custom ROM as base for a google-free, secure Note 8 Pro

i want to get rid of Xiaomi and Google spying and telemetry stuff and need a good custom ROM as a solid base for this.
- Regular security updates
- No gapps preinstalled
- working with microG / nanodroid
- Stable with no major bugs
- IMPORTANT: A good camera without major issues. The AOSP one is just not good enough
I tried some ROMs with gcam / anx, but it didn't really work well. What ROM can you recommend for my needs?

If your phone isn't Indian device, you should try LineageOs by Timjosten (Miui 12.0.8 fw based). It uses stock cam (Miui cam not anx) and has almost what you need (I didn't try microG one).
