I want to return my HTC One M8 (Vodafone UK) to stock, but on HTCs page, there isn't an RUU for Vodafone. Can anyone send one for the CID VODAP01? Thanks.

Hi, my desire came from Phones-4-u. It appears to be completely unbranded but i had the vodafone brand on it when i recieved it as i choose to be on vodafone's network.
I need to return it back to un-root due to warranty purposes.
Should i just return it to htc unbranded ruu, or back to the branded vodafone ruu?#
If i got back to HTC unbranded will it effect my warranty?
Many thanks
Return it unbranded as that's how it came
Hi guys,
I have a branded orange uk dhd. As soon as I got it I debranded it so now I'm on 2.50xxx software. The volume button is very weak(very common issue) and not responsive so I need to send it back to service. My question is: can I send it to htc with wwe ruu (s-on and everything) or should I put orange branded rom and send it to orange.
Thanks
i suggest sending it back with the orange branded rom to htc might be faster than sending it through orange still is going to go to htc
So definitely I have to put Orange UK ruu and send it directly to htc. Of course it has to be s-on and sim unlock. Is that correct?
Thanks guys for help
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
yea so send it back with orange uk ruu S-on and if your phone was sim-locked when you got it then lock it and send it back
happy to have helped
So, I bought my HTC One X from Virgin Australia, which is a subsidiary of Optus Australia, thus I always thought I was supposed to use the Optus RUU. However, when I checked my CID, it turns out it was HTC__023, which is the international unbranded CID, so I'm not sure if I still can use the Optus RUU. My version-main is 1.29.728.12. Is it still fine to use the Optus RUU? If not, which RUU should I use?

Thank you .
I need to unroot my unlocked, S-Off HTC Desire before I sell it as the retailer won't accept it if it's rooted.
How do I know which RUU I need? (It's a GSM model from the UK and I think it was originally on TMobile UK before I had it unlocked). Obviously I want to keep it unlocked.
Use the 2.3 RUU.
Folks.
I've searched everywhere and I couldn't find the right answer for it.
I just got an M9 on Vodafone Ireland which turns to be the same as Vodafone UK,
but I want to receive the Update straight from HTC or WWE or Developer Edition as its the same hardware, there should be a way to do it!!
Is there any chance to convert my Vodafone M9 into International Version??

Unlock your bootloader (if not already done), get S-OFF, change your CID to an unbranded one (fastboot oem writecid HTC__001) and flash the corresponding RUU (latest unbranded RUU; instructions can be found in the google sheet in my signature). You may need to install some OTAs afterwards to get to the latest firmware version.
For the developer convertion you may want to take a look at this thread.
