At first glance I'm actually seeing improvements on the 3x telephoto lens indoors with poor lighting conditions. You can see below a screen capture of before and after the update.
Video mode 3X before update:
Portrait video mode 3x after update:
Later edit: Joke's one me. The portrait video mode records in Full HD only, that's why it seems to be sharper. 4K video quality is the same. Inconsistent focus and smudgy in low light. Oh well... back to waiting for miracle updates again.

Can`t be that, is even worst than 720p
How to fix that? It is like what my Reno8 has too. Not focus at 1080p 60 fps.
Has you Installed another cam (like Gcam) too?
I had this sort of problem with my other phone too sometimes.
It was gone after deleting data of gcam and restart.
After I uninstalled Gcam, this problem never happened again
Hello guys,
Anyone else got this update today?
In the description says that camera performance has been improved. But I see no improvement at all. The 64mpx camera still has focus issues

Hello, Czech Republic today, S20 5G, SM981B/DS. I didn't notice any difference though.
The 64mp will always have focus issues due to the sensor size. There's nothing they can do with software now. That's why they added laser AF to Note 20U.
Already updated (DBT). Until now, nothing new.
So I want to buy this phone. Just for enthusiasm. Can any one tell me how is the portrait mode of this phone. Portrait mode generally looks better on zoomed lenses that are about 50mm FL away. So for those who have this phone. Can I see some portrait samples of this phone. It would.mean a lot to me.
It will automatically use zoom mode in portrait as well,
edge detection is quite good in my opinion,
pardon me for random subject, just purely snap a picture for sample purpose
Portrait Mode :

I think a better example is to test it outside at night and compare the two.
I'm on QPR1 beta and I am happy with the camera

A13=Android 13
If true makes no sense as A13 isn't a real upgrade more a service pack
it is probably just down to a really bright telly in a dark room more than anything, it isnt a behaviour i have seen anywhere else.
