I don't know exactly what causes it, but if the bootloader was unlocked and now says Flashing_locked, usually the only fix is to flash a blankflash.
You will need to find a blankflash for your device, and get it into EDL to flash.
If you have a hanoip (XT2135) this one should work.

Hello!
in your link on how to boot in EDL mode, it assumes that the OEM bootloader is unlocked.
How can we boot into EDL with a locked bootloader? I'm stuck here.. Could you please direct us if possible?
Digging into Google, I find no other method but using short-test points method.
[UPDATE]
I could not find any way to enter into EDL mode.
Also, I have asked 2 smartphone technicians and they say there's no way that this brick could be solved at the moment and the hardware is a bit new.
The authorized Motorola center's solution is to replace the whole motherboard!! Dumbest solution...
Anyone here has any ideas please?

[UPDATE, tool name is JTAG Boot tool]
A technician has assured me that a BOOT fix will resolve the issue and for that he needs a tool(JTAG Boot tool) that uses the phone's memory type and loads recovery software into it directly.
Below is MotoG60 memory type from website GSMArena i.e. UFS2.1.
Once I get my phone fixed, I'll definitely write down the solution here in complete detail.
Cheers.

One fix a shop suggested is to replace the emmc altogether. Haven't found any other fix yet

Unfortunately I'm from Brazil, I think the only way to solve this would be to really change the motherboard of the device, I've already contacted the motorola aurtorizada and the device is to be posted this Monday, I'll send it anyway and there for next week until at the most in the other I write if it really solved.

So far, the only one that gave me any feedback, tried to pass the jtag directly into memory and it ended up that the device did not start, as they tried to resolder the device's processor, and if that doesn't work they told me to send the device to another assistance to write the system directly to the device's processor.

Here in Brazil I can't find any place that sells the moto g60 ufs, in addition, a solution I imagined would be to buy a broken one and use the parts for repair, but I can't find any broken only with the plate lol, in which a broken used one has the same price as the repair leaving me with no option of what to do.
I would think that you should be able to get to EDL mode.
If you can disable access to the UFS it has no other choice.
You want to ground some data/clock line to the UFS.
Since you don't know what the accessible test points or resistors are you don't want to short anything directly to ground.
The point might be a power supply or who knows what.
Use a low value resistor (like 100 ohms). Try all the accessible points near the UFS through the 100 ohm to ground.
Long press the power button and wait to hear the connect to USB 05c6/9008

Thank you for sharing such wisdom with us.
I've done that with other things with eMMC where the system was corrupt enough that it didn't work but not so corrupt that the ROM bootloader could recognize it as being a total failure.
That's where you get stuck. Halfway failure is bad. Total failure gets recognized as such and goes to ROM bootloader.
Any idea what causes this and how can someone avoid all of this to begin with?
I guess the safest way would be not to unlock your bootlaoder. ) But if you did, and now you want to lock it back, what would be the safest way to do that, so you can avoid bricking your phone?
Right now, for example, my phone is back to stock ROM, but with an unlocked bootloader, and OEM Unlocking option greyed out and OFF (meaning bootloader is not unlockable anymore). Also, it says "bootloader is already unlocked". Which it is. But also, that's not the point. Ideally (and, for as far as I could see, that IS what happens on other phones, including other Motorola phones), is for that option to be ON, even if it's greyed out (inactive).
Because, in case you lock the bootloader, and something goes south, you can still unlock the bootloader again. But if that option is OFF (meaning get_unlock_ability=0), you can't unlock the bootloader anymore. And if you can't boot, you also can't go into developer options to activate it (assuming it wouldn't be greyed out and inactive anyway).
But I'm more interested to know why does this happen to begin with.
Why is that option greyed out and turned OFF, instead of being ON? And why do people get into this unbootable state, even with previously working stock ROMs?
Does anyone know?

I have flashed the newest MIUI developer from here from TWRP 3.1 and after I selected reboot -> system
After that my phone turned off and now I can't turn it on. My Mi Max can't go neither recovery mode nor fastboot nor EDL. It became hardbrick. No reaction after connecting to PC with any possible combination of pressed keys.
What's wrong with my Max? Can I bring my phone to life?
I hade something similar with my redmi note 3. (IF I remember correctly, only hade a blinkning red light). Check Guides for redmi note 3, its a more popular device. maybe some of this will help you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/help/hard-bricked-redmi-note-3-sd-t3360457

Probably you need to remove the remains from the old Recovery (Stock).

You are going to have to open your phone up.
First download and install the Mi Flash Tool. Install it.
Second download the latest STABLE Miui fastboot rom.
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Untar the tarball somewhere.
Start the MiFlash tool and select the folder you untared

Open your Mi Max
http://www.ihowfix.com/xiaomi-mi-max-teardown/
Plug a good usb cable into your PC, then the other end part way but not fully into your Mi Max.
Find the two test points I circled in red in the picture, use a wire to short them. While you are doing that, have your computer ready.
Now, plug the usb cord all the way in and start clicking refresh in MiFlash
Your Mi Max should show up as id 2 device 09234f or whatever.

Flash, and wait for the process to finish.
If your Mi Max doesn't show up, just unplug the usb cord, make sure you have those two points connected well, and replug. It's the hardest part and it can be difficult to do right.
@chriscarver
You are not allowed to unlock it officially ?
On the official forum is a form of treatment to the manufacturer to unlock the bootloader.
And what is the point in the wire, which until which the end not is inserted into, in the charging connector ?
The wire must be inserted with great speed or you'll perform the function of phase (+) current ?

Not the fact that its bootloader is unlocked.

the tmobile and at&t versions are the exact same model so if we get a phone to switch into this mode it may be possible to load it as a retail/tmobile version. im sure the verizon version has a similar issue as the at&t with a locked bootloader.

Well I'm trying to get TWRP flashed but I don't know how with EDL mode. It would bypass the need to unlock the bootloader if so. We could just flash a whole new bootloader from EDL, but I don't know how.

I was curious if there was a way to boot into edl mode, obviously you can brick it there. I have a few leads as to how it can be done, but I haven't pursued them as edl isn't a necessity for me and I don't want to find myself in a position that I can't get out of without redoing everything. I imagine if I ever borked my phone I might delve into it a bit more. I thought edl might offer a solution for those who aren't bricked, but find themselves with a false lock and unable to flash anything.
Mainly though I don't like your approach, wanting help but not offering help, that's not what XDA is about. I get it though, AT&T and Verizon has a bounty for unlocking their bootloader and edl might offer a step in that direction, but there's a lot more to it. I'll give you a hint though, there is no recovery partition on this phone. Good luck.

yeah i figured that much, chcecking the vzw default firmware shows boot.img and bootloader.img, im assuming boot is where twrp is installed.
So getting to EDL mode was suprisingly easy and stupid, but it is for sure 100% EDL mode.

that's all. Granted I haven't updated the phone in a while, Ihave December 1 2017 security patch and oreo 8.0.0.
since this information is now public i think it should be clear not to update the phone from now on.

Hi everybody,
yesterday I tried flashing the stock pocof3 rom back onto my phone, but since it got stuck in a bootloop at the fastboot logo. Showing the poco logo for a milisecond and then straight to fastboot..
(before this I flashed twrp and the arrowOS recovery and images a few time trying, without succes, to install this rom)
Last thing I did was flash via the mi-flash tool and did't see the "clean and lock" selection so it's also in lock state again.
I cant get adb to find the phone although the mi-flashtool is finding it.
anyone any tips?
I tried the vol up power trick, but this didn't help, keeps loading into fastboot

BAD NEWS... your Poco is bricked. You cannot flash ANYTHING using a PC when your bootloader is locked.
(I did same thing on a Mi11 5g last week and ended up selling it on eBay for spare & repairs
I tried sideload flash, miflash, copying update.zip to internal storage via ADB, and many other options - all without success).
- if your POCO is under warranty in your country (i.e. not a chinese import)... contact Xiaomi Support they can re-flash correct ROM
- Ask your local phone repair store... they *might* be able to flash original ROM back by using "Chimera" engineering software.

- Bootloader was re-locked whilst a custom ROM was in the phone.
(MIUI with Locked bootloader will not boot up where ROM is not stock or does not match the region/product code).
You cannot apply for bootoader unlock because you cannot boot up into Android and request the unlock via Developer mode.
You cannot remotely (via PC cable) flash any ROM into a Xiaomi / POCO phone whilst botloader is locked.

Nope bootload locked = no 'remote' flashes via pc
Apparently there is an 'authenticated user' mode for Xiaomi engineers in MiFlaah and also an EDL Emergency Download Mode which you can trigger by shorting out 2 pins on the motherboard so bypass bootloader lock and flash any ROM
Neither were available options for me

I think a warranty repair claim is your best bet ... I have never read anywhere that unlocking bootloader invalidates Xiaomi warranty (Unlike Samsung and so many other brands!)
If warranty repair is re refused try a few independent repair shops

It looks like you're trying to unlock the bootloader on the wrong device.
Where are you getting the device ID that you're typing in when unlocking? it's not the ID of the device you've connected

Hi bro Thank you for answering my question
BRO I am a beginner.......and i have a Motorola Edge x30 phone Chinese version, and by mistake I locked the bootloader from fastboot mode, now this message appears as shown in the picture. Tried all flashes, to no avail.(RSD Lite,Moto Flash Pro,Rescue and smart assistant LMSA.....ect)
Is there a solution to unlock the bootloader? Or another way to unbrick my phone?
Greetings! I'm also looking for a test for entering EDL. The apparatus of Chinese XT-2201-2. After switching to the slot B in the fastboot --set-active=a and the reboot, the brick received a brick in the fastboot, it does not respond to any button. Found a blankflash, we need to enter the EDL mode, it should be at every Snapdragon. I have already opened the device, it remains to find a test of Points.
The bootloader unlocked.
Sorry for the translation. I am from Russia, I use Google Translate.
Estou com um Edge 20 na mesma situação.

So far only one Brazilian guy has a solution for this, but he is charging money to solve the problem remotely. He does not reveal the secret of the unbrick.

How can he flash remotely, and even without disassembling bodies that does not respond to any buttons?
The name of his tool is "Android Tool", you may find a crked version online somewhere.
This is what I found: "Android Tool By LigtelGSM".
Always create a new windows install / virtual machine when trying out these GSM Tools, a lot of them are infected.

I own the software. And a basic program for making flash and a few other things. I couldn't solve the brick using the software.
Hello brothers!
I'd like to know more about unlock bootloader, msm tool and about custom rom.
Does oneplus give us the ability to unlock the bootloader?
Is it possible to create a msm tool for it? I know that oneplus 10 pro had a problem with it...
As a oneplus 8/8 pro, 6T, op5, op3 and op1 user I always liked the fact that these were perfect phones for development. oneplus gives us such an opportunity at all now? My question is because I haven't seen it on op10pro...
I hope someone can answer these questions and we can talk about it together.
Best regards zelos156 aka zeusgod

There is fastboot enhanced which doesn't save you if you hard brick and can't get into fastboot flashing mode(not stock bootloader). Chinese users say there is a flash tool but nothing has surfaced yet. A dev who was trying to make it work for a cease and desist message from oppo
Oh that's stinks msm was a godsend for me because of the readback function built in to pull stock boot image for magisk
I bricked my OP11 and desperately need MSM : (
BL is locked, it stuck in a bootloop to recovery mode
PC can't detect the phone.
I couldn't get back to FASTBOOT with pressing physical key. Please help!

Thanks for sharing, I definitely need to try that! Did you press all keys and hold, or just press randomly?
So I can't get the drivers to recognize the device. OP does not have the 11 listed in the drivers download page. Are there other drivers that work?
**UPDATE** Disregard. Figured it out.
if you can access 9008 mode then you can recover It

Can you please tell how? My phone was stuck at EDL mode. I couldn't find any guide on how to recover and for some reason, QLMFlasherTrial was not opening in my PC. I have my phone to service centre for repair and still waiting.
Is there a link someone could share for unlocking bootloader or perhaps the payload dump method?

Linaro Git Hosting
git.linaro.org
You're scroll down until you see "landing-teams"
Just click on it and it will expand then just look
"Working/Qualcomm" and all of them are for Qualcomm devices/software.

Update: I went to service centre in India to fix my bricked OnePlus 11. Service centre didn't have enough software yet to fix. Also My device was the first device registered to be fixed. So I'm getting a replacement of the device.
