I would like to know why the user and data folders contain the same files but both consume space separately.

they don't consume space separately, inside "user" there is just a shortcut to "data" of user 0

If you add up all the spaces, it is exactly what it says that it weighs in total, that is, if it takes up space.

Why does my Data Usage show 800+ MB used by ZERO apps?

EDIT: AHHH! Large image is LARGE! My phone isn't that big! (I get why it's that big, but holy crap! Is there anything I can edit to get it a bit smaller? An IMG Size=variable, by chance?)
Note at the bottom it says "no apps", as in... I have no idea what's using my data.
Google Chrome, Baconreader, Google Music Play Music Play (or whatever its new name is) should at LEAST be listed, and they're not.
Maybe it's coming from an app you uninstalled?
But apps I have installed, and that are using mobile data don't show up.
This happened to me when I had about a month of uptime. It was fixed after I rebooted.

Where are these random folders coming from?

Every now and then, I get a series of folders which look similar to other folders copied but with the front of the folder's name replaced by the symbol seen below. When they appear, I cannot delete them from a PC, but can use any file manager on the phone to delete them from the internal memory. Any ideas? They're always empty. Because of the "~1" at the end of folders, it leads me to believe that maybe my PC is doing this...?

Storage gone missing (not SD card)

Hi folks,
I've tried looking on the Note 2014 board but can see no trace of this problem anywhere. Basically, the internal storage on my Note is disappearing. I have attached a screenshot that shows the storage on my device:

}
As you can see on the left circle, I have used 9.8GB of the total 11.79 total storage (available after the system installation) but the right circle shows the distribution of the file types but the numbers don't equate to 9.8GB. All apps show the same thing. Any idea on the cause? I should have far more space than this.
A different app showing the same split:

FireTV Cube - storage space is running out - how to delete files in a special folder?

Hello...
I got the message on my Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen. (unrooted) that the storage space was almost full. I then deleted the Kodi-data from the Cube via the app menu.
But I wondered why there was still so little free storage space - other Apps don't use much cache or data. So I used the adb shell to check how the storage space is distributed and found out that the "dev/block/data" or "data/media" folder (see screenshot) is relatively full with 8.7GB.

Unfortunately, I do not have permission to view the contents of the folder or delete data in it.
Can anyone help me here?
