My kindle fire (3rd gen) is tuck in a screen that says:
Fire system recovery
Your fire doesn't seem able too boot.
Reseting your device to factory defaults may
help you to fix this issue.
Volume up/down to highlight, power button to select.
I have 2 options:
reboot your fire or reset to factory defaults.
It has never been rooted, but I plan to install a custom ROM like LineageOS or something.
I have done both many times, I do not care how much data is lost.
It does not appear on adb devices.

Your Kindle has detected a problem and must clear
App storage. The recovery process will erase some
applications and data from your device.
Apps from the Appstore are store in the cloud and can
be reinstalled later.
This will reset your Kindle to its original factory
settings. You will need to re-register your Kindle
prior to downloading items from your Amazon account.
Please press power button to proceed.:crying:
like this
i press power button and it shutdown and stuck again

Use kfu to send twrp and fff then enter recovery and wipe everything except the extermal storage/sdcard and system. Then reboot.
I rooted my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 using Binary's rooting tool.
I went into the application named ROM-Toolbox, changed the font. It told me a reboot is required for the font to take effect.
I've used this application before and it worked fine. I rebooted and change my font. However the second time i got this.
It booted into an unusual screen."Kindle Fire system recovery. Your kindle does not seem to be bale to boot. Resetting your device to factory default may help you fix this issue. Volume up/down move to highlight; power button to select."
There are two more options. Reboot your kindle, or reset to factory default.
When i select either, i get a bootscreen loop. In which it booted the same two options.
When connected to a PC, the PC did not recognize the device in any shape or form. I've reinstalled the drivers.
When rebooting the Kindle, for a second the PC emits the sound that indicates that a device has been connected. In the system tray of my PC, it says "installing android adb interface" then it resumes to say device unplugged.
Please, much help is appreciated.
I have an original Kindle Fire rooted with CWM and after I did some app updates, something must have serious been affected by the changes. My Kindle Fire now immediately shuts off after first unlocking it. After shutting off it will reboot and attempt to load (shows the android robot with some blue prism thing) which will fail and show a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I then have to hard reset the Fire to reboot it. I can get the Kindle Fire to boot back up again but only to shut itself off again immediately after unlocking.
I have attempted to restore the kindle fire through the kindle UI (when I can get it to stay on long enough) as well as restore it through the CWM prompts. Nothing seems to work.
To add insult to injury, the kindle also will not be recognized by my macbook. I have tried both through kindle and CWM mounting and have tried using multiple cords and multiple laptops. Sadly none of them will recognize the Kindle Fire so none of them will let me move an update.zip onto it.
I feel like I'm completely stuck, does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? Also please let me know if there's any other information needed to help answer this question.
Hi all,
I have a kindle fire setup with CM10.1. Currently i know of two ways to boot into TWRP:
1. Power on the Kindle Fire, then hold power button when you see the blue kindle fire logo and you can cycle boot options til you get to recovery
Mine only shows up as orange; I never see the blue logo or the option to cycle to a TWRP boot.
2. Set bootmode through KFU
My computer currently won't recognize my Kindle - after installing CM10.1 and doing a factory reset, it doesn't even show up in device manager (neither as ADB device or Kindle Fire).
The reason for wanting to get into TWRP is generally to install Gapps...although it would be nice for future reference as well.
Use smirkit it to install FireFireFire
worked perfectly! got Gapps installed within 5 minutes. thanks so much!
i rooted my kindle fire 1st generation and everything was working fine. there was an app available that i found that claimed it could flash a recovery onto the kindle however after running this the kindle fire was stuck on a red screen at boot. I purchased a factory cable and using kindle fire utility i tried to install FireFireFire. after it was finished the kindle had a pure black screen and the power button was green. nothing was happening so i held down the power button until the light went off. Now the kindle won't turn back on and when its on charge the power button does not light up.
what i've tried:
Running adb and restoring from a backup : kindle not found
Running kindle fire utility and changing boot mode : kindle not found
Holding down the power button for 30 seconds and resetting the device : no response
P.S all drivers are installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
