i hid some apps on my Xiaomi pad 5 before updating to MIUI 13. But now I can't find the same settings (used to be in app lock) to configure them. I can still access them with the pinch out gesture but I think it's weird that the feature is missing from settings??? Is it a bug?

Try searching again with activity launcher app (available on play store)
or you can also access this setting from hidden apps tray
you said you can still access hidden apps with pinch out on home screen there will be a plus icon just click on that
even my device is redmi note 10...i had recently updated my mobile to miui 13.1...and i can't find hidden apps setting in my device
HI, Im on Mi10T with MIUI13, and the Hidden Apps option is not available.
Even using Activity Launcher, I found the option, but when I make click, nothing happens.
This feature is only available with the stock launcher. Because it use a geasture to show the hidden apps.
You will find it in the security apps section , scroll down to the bottom if u don't find it there try clearing data and then check it again , it worked for.me I hope it works for u too

After finally rooting my H811 yesterday, and installing Xposed and tweaking as best as I could without the G4 compatible G3 Tweakbox landing, I noticed that I am no longer able to launch links from Google Search. I'm still trying to figure it out, but if anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
Error is "No app found to open URL"

I'll have to try disabling Gravity Box to see if that's what is causing it.

The weather.com link was just an example, I get the error when clicking on any link that includes a URL. It should be launching Chrome, but it isn't. I disabled Gravity Box and the error didn't go away.

Hmm, can you launch Chrome? Maybe clearing cache from google app do the trick..but i guess you have to sign up again
Yeah, I can use Chrome Beta and that's my workaround. I've been searching from Chrome lately anyway since saving an image from Search is impossible after the latest update.

Go to THIS link then go to the download page and grab the Stock SystemUI + Framework with minor mods – DOWNLOAD and install it. Then go into System UI Tuner in settings.
Unfortunately, I can't find it again, but one of the OTAs had a tool built in to do this in the UI Tweaker. It might have been the "V" version but I haven't been able to get it again.

I see may people struggling to get this work, but it's really simple to get the Google's Digital Wellbeing feature on PIE based ROMs.
Steps :
1) Install latest wellbeing apk from HERE
2) Install this app and add a shortcut to Digital Wellbeing on your homescreen.
First thingy done, now let's get to the permissions part.
Search for Digital wellbeing or wellbeing in apps and ensure all permissions are granted.
Lastly
1) open settings
2) search for usage access
3) allow wellbeing access
Done.
Now to see the app click on shortcut firstly created and you can see the dashboard working.
Thank you, this is great and works like a charm. Was looking for a way to get it on my galaxy s9+ with Pie. Another question, when there is another update out for the wellbeing app, do I just have to download and install the newer apk file and it should work?
EDIT: Installed the latest version 1.0.229438543 and it works, good work man!
In the new version there is an integrated option to show it in the app drawer, so after checking it the other app for the shortcut is not needed anymore.
Wind Down is not working!
I installed it but the Wind Down is not working, any clue?
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
Hey, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 got the pie beta update. I installed the digital wellbeing app and it worked fine but the wind down option is not working :crying: . I found an option in developer options named Simulate Color Space please developer find any way to automatic this setting.........
I am trying to get Digital Wellbeing on stock Samsung S8 (Canadian version) running Android Pie (released today). After the Android Pie update I realized that it did not include Digital Wellbeing. The Play Store shows "Your device isn't compatible with this version." when I try to download it from there.
The link to the APK above is dead. Is there a new link?
After the update i was unable to open PDF files directly from Telegram like i used to do and it just showed a black screen (like the one listed in the end of this post).
Even opening PDF files from anywhere in my phone just showed the same black screen.
The only way around this was to save the file somewhere in your phone then opening it after searching for it through "Microsoft Office".
I tried other apps and it either showed the same black screen or i had to search for the file through the app.
Is there any solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
The black screen i mentioned above (using Google PDF Viewer):

Yeah, this stupid miui optimization is a headache!!! When you disable it (in my case I'm forced by the use of Vanced Youtube...) you get a lots of issues with proprietary xiaomi apps especially. You are forced somehow to use their bloatware! 3 fingers screenshot not working or sharing files with their file manager... and I can go on...
Just uninstall MI Browser, problem solves. Thank me later
Whenever i tried opening a pdf file the "MI Pdf viewer" on My Redmi Note 10 Pro, it was just showing a loading sign but never opend the file.
To solve this I uninstalled" MI doc viewer" and now My pdfs are opening correctly.
Hi , on my Poco f3 MIUI 13 there is no option for uninstalling the apps when I long tap them. I have no idea why this happened. Is there any settings to bring it back?
Can you perhaps show a screenshot so that it's easier to know where exactly you mean?

Oh ok. May have been changed with a Poco Launcher Update.
You can try uninstalling the app updates to Poco Launcher, and see if it comes back ^^ Settings > Apps > Poco Launcher and there you should be able to uninstall the updates to this system app.
I say "may", because I'm on a Vanilla Android Custom ROM right, not on MIUI, so have to guess here.
