Guide:
Go to Developer settings and enable oem unlock
power off the device and boot in download mode with power + vol down buttons and plug in the usb (make sure usb cable is connected to the pc)
in download mode you see the long press vol up option for unlock bl
unlock the bootloader (that will wipe your device so be sure you made a backup of your data)
after bootloader unlock boot up the phone and make sure it is connected to the internet or he triggers rmm prenormal
setup the phone without google account etc
reboot in download mode and flash twrp tar for your device with odin in the AP field (if you want to patch twrp byself patch the downloaded tar in magisk manager. patched tar is in downloads folder after patch)
hold vol up + power button while odin is flashing until you are in twrp.
format data in twrp
flash the disabler that is on TWRP download link
flash my kernel avaiable here
press reboot to system in twrp.

Only exynos will work for now, us snapdragon have locker bootloader, maybe never will have twrp.

Have you tried doing reboot recovery from TWRP?

In the OP, it says ASC firmware base. Does that mean it only works on devices with ASC firmware base? If so how do I check that?

I disabled encryption when installed Magisk.

First was ASBA and last is ASCA ^^

Step 9. hold vol up+ bixby+power until you are twrp, doesnt work for me. I have tried holding the buttons for more than 1 minute, holding vol up + bixby plugging usb, holding vol up and bixby only, it just stays on download mode. I can only press vol down + power to reboot, and I cant boot to system or recovery after that, I have to flash stock with odin and start over.
Any ideas?

so multidisabler is updated to v2 and stock rom boots again normaly sammy added 2 more encryption in the n10 that needed to get disabled
Magisk Patched builds are now uploaded too for the one that dont wants to patch byself

Also I root my phones only for Ads away for youtube app and youtube app being able to play in the background with screen off
Is there any ways we can have these without rooting ?

If you root your phone just for you tube ad away you don't need. Just install you tube vanced for not rooted phone and you good to go ?

Don't forget to install micro g with YouTube vanced too.
I used to root just for adaway and YouTube mods, but with ad guard and YouTube vanced I feel I no longer need to root my devices.

So ASHE sources are out. Today after work i will upload ASHE builds for all 4 modells

So new builds are uploaded and note 10+ bootloop issue is fixed (magisk manager corrupted me recovery.img on last builds)

so today again a big update will be here and thats twrp with working mtp in system and recovery

so new builds with working mtp are uploaded

Hello,
I hope you're fine sir,
I just got my Note 10 plus and about to root it,
However, I am a bit lost when you said magisk prepatched and unpatched, what is the difference...?
Also, for the multidisabler , there are formatting steps, so should I do your steps and do the multidisabler thread steps, or yours are enough...?
I just want a perfect flash, I had a terrible experience with my Note 9 unfortunately due to misunderstanding the steps...:crying:
For now, I'll be backing up and completing all the steps required before I move on the new phone...
I do hope you or anyone else sees this and guides me through...:fingers-crossed:

Okay. I have solved it by flashing the original firmware downloaded from Sam mobile, after that I repeated the steps but I changed the AP file since I had downloaded the one from N976, download the correct ones for N975 and it was fixed. I already recognized the SIM

Help, cant backup the system image.
Hi, i need some help.
I had n975 and twrp 3.3.1 ASHE install with magisk patched.
I still on stock rom with magisk. I tried to backup using twrp. When backing up system image(about 6 gb), it failed.
I am manage to backup others like modem, recovery and others.
What should I do to backup system?

Installation procedure
IS MANDATORY TO BE ON A13 AT LEAST HWCG/HWD4/HWED FW BEFORE FLASHING BR 64 !!!
Dirty flash of BR 6.x over any Android 12 will brick your device !!!
0) Backup ALL your important files to PC, ext drives, etc
1) Download and copy the latest BR ROM zip into your external storage or USB stick if you're on stock fw encrypted
2) Download latest stock FW for your phone model using Frija or Samfw and unpack it on your PC
3) Boot in download mode (Vol Up + Vol Down + plug the USB cable connected already to PC) and load up Odin on PC
Don't use USB adapters otherwise you might get issues flashing FW in Odin
Turn off Auto Reboot in Odin
4) Select files BL, AP, CP & HOME_CSC (keep data)
**do not start flash yet
5) Download latest compatible TWRP for your specific device from the official TWRP xda thread (link above), rename it to recovery.img. Download the patched vbmeta.img file from below. Using 7Zip app add the 2 files (recovery.img and vbmeta.img) into a .tar file.
6) Add the above twrp + vbmeta patched.tar file into the USERDATA slot in Odin
7) Uncheck the auto reboot option in Odin and start the flashing
8) When flashing completes (keep usb plugged in !!!), hold Vol Down + Power buttons and then as soon as the screen goes black hold Vol Up + Power buttons to boot to recovery
*be warned first time you boot into recovery it will initialize and then reboot so just keep the buttons Vol Up + Power buttons pressed longer
**if you boot in stock FW, your data will be encrypted and you'll need to wipe your data before flashing BR 3.x
9) When boot in TWRP, wipe your data if you're encrypted, flash BR 5.x zip and then reboot to system
10) After the first boot, install Magisk Manager if necessary; when you'll start Magisk Manager for the first time, reply with YES (agree to reboot) after MM have setup your root environment
*after reboot, go to Magisk Manager settings and toggle On Zygisk
10) Enjoy....
1. Backup to PC all your important files: documents, pictures, contacts, SMS, etc. BEFORE starting to flash anything
2. If you have issues booting the ROM, try the clean flash
3. To boot into TWRP you need to use a USB cable connected to PC (same for DL mode) or a USB stick

No you should not be able to. And yes follow steps. You need to change your bootloader, modem etc.

Disappointing, I followed your directions to the letter and I have a soft bricked 985f. I have tried to flash 3 times now. I flashed and it goes all the way to pass but then when I try to boot twrp it sits there. Yes I'm plugged in to my pc, even tried multiple cords and ports and clean install, never can get to twrp. Gotta sleep, hopefully it doesn't burn in overnight since I can't shut it off.

I used the vmbeta.img and the ianmcd recovery, i made them into a tar with 7zip and I renamed it to recovery.img before combining. I even copied and pasted the name you said to name it. Could we get a link to the correct twrp?

I made the mistake of not resetting odin, as soon as I reset odin i was able to flash recovery and then rom, thank you !!!!

TWRP is an open source, community project. A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like LineageOS or OmniROM.

I flashed some twrp image in my samsug j7 max via odin , but instead of AP in odin , I selected BL i guess, Now after flashing my device wont even turn on. It isn't responding to any commands, not even download mode. I need some serious help as it is my only device. can anyone help me solve my problem?

You messed up bro, thats why in each and every post everything is clearly mentioned you should pay attention to the details...
Mtk devices are not meant for this things my last phone also got bricked accidentally by my own hands

Question Root Galaxy S21 FE with Magisk?

Hello all
Since two days I'm using the new S21 FE and I'm quite happy with it. Unlocking the bootloader was quite simple. Until Custom ROMS are available I'd love to install Magisk but I couldn't find any information so far here or somewhere else.
Help would be appreciated. Thank you

Could you go into detail what exactly is missing. I read through the documentation of Magisk and could not find out what is missing to make it running on the S21 FE.

With latest Magisk Canary (23017) and latest Firmware (I downloaded Russian firmare with region code SER, security patch is from January) root ist possible. It is crucial to use the latest version of Magisk Canary as it fixed bootloop of Samsung devices caused by faulty fstab.
So, what I did is:
* of course: unlocked bootloader
* downloaded above firmware via SamFirm reborn (or similar tool)
* flashed stock firmware via Odin
* extracted AP file from the zip
* extracted boot.img.lz4 from AP file
* made a TAR file from the above file
* transferred this file to the device and patched it with latest Magisk
* back on the PC flashed this file via Odin in AP slot TOGETHER WITH attached vbmeta_disabled.tar (I think I got it from the TWRP thread in the S20 FE forum here - works for me)

I tried to do the same with Heimdall, as I have no access to a Windows PC. I flashed the boot.img (unpacked to a .img) in the BOOT slot and vbmeta_disabled.tar (unpacked to a .img) in the VBMETA slot and got stuck in a bootloop. Any ideas how this could be resolved?

I am sorry, but I have no experiences with Heimdall at all. So I think I cannot help here. You could try latest Magisk Canary (now 23018) or try the modded Magisk apk from the A52S-forum here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/galaxy-a52s-5g-sm-a528b-experimental-and-limited-root.4382243/. The file is a bit hidden in the first post. It says: "First step download the file from here..."
Before I succeeded in rooting by the method I described above, I archieved root by patching boot.img with that A52S-version. Although later on Magisk Manager kept on saying "additional setup needed...", but root and modules worked flawlessly. Good luck!

The newer Magisk version did the trick for me and I do not end up in a boot loop. Following steps got me Magisk up and running:
1. get the newest canary build of Magisk (23018) at the time
2. get a copy of your firmware unpack it and get the boot.img
3. patch the boot.img with Magisk and pull the patched file from the phone
4. get the file vbmeta_disabled.tar linked previously [1] and unpack it
5. boot the phone into the Download Mode
6. execute following command:
Attention: The original repository of Heimdall is missing some important patches. Use the repository of amo13 [2].
Bash:
heimdall flash --BOOT <path to patched boot.img> \
--VBMETA <path to unpacked vbmeta_disabled.tar> \
--no-reboot
optional:
7. install Zygisk
8. install Universal SafetyNet Fix [3]

Does everyone here have the exynos version of the S21 FE 5G or something because I'm on snapdragon and have no OEM Unlock option showing up. Just wondering if anyone has a snapdragon version that's able to unlock the bootloader?

I have the SP version and its showing like always. U dont even need to scroll down.

You aren't the only one. I specfically ordered a snapdragon unlocked variant and there is no option for me to unlock the bootloader either. Quite a pain honestly, since the only reason I got this phone was for development purposes.
