I got the L29 global version of the mate 20x. It has 11.0.0.142 (C636E3R2P3) installed.
Is this is the most up to date firmware? If not can you direct me to a site where I can download and install it?

Mine is (C636E3R2P3). I wonder if the C636 is why I'm bot getting your version of 11. My phone was manufactured in singapore. Do you think thats the reason why my phone wont get your 11.0.0.155 version cuz or phones may be different?

Wish they'd thought through the version numbering system before jumping ahead with the Chinese ROMs. It's great to see the rapid progress being made but there are now various overlaps in version numbers between the international and the Chinese ROMs meaning having the highest version number does not necessarily mean having the newest build.

This is what it shows on the middle east section of the huawei website. Does this mean the B114 would take a long time to reach the middle east ?
And also, any chances of an Android 4.3 update for the P6 ?

B111 was available for quite a while as an unofficial/leaked firmware update but not available through Huawei website - however, the version now officially available seems to be identical to the beta version. The dates I have quoted above are the build dates given in the build.prop file for each ROM rather than when they became available to the public. The official release date for B111 for the middle east is the same so I can't see there being a delay in getting B114.
As for 4.3, I hope so given Huawei's rapid release of updates so far but I'm no dev/insider so can't really speculate

My girlfriend recieved an ota today for B112 she has a p6 and so do I but I didn't got the update. Her p6 comes from B104 and mine is currentley on B111 from local update.
What are the updates in B112??
Why did she get it and me not?(diffrent provider issue?)
And this is to just to let you guys know

hmmm thats a chinese rom, maybe its better for her to download manually the B111 international rom? not unless shes chinese? i think chinese roms also doesnt have google apps

B112=B111 - both are international versions!
the only difference is, that B112 is an OTA update for B104 and B111 is meant to be flashed from sd. there are no differences between these versions.
however, on the german p6 support site, you can also find a version of B112 for updating via sd. can't post any links yet, sry...

I don't know, but I bought my P6 yesterday and I also had to update it to 112. These are both International versions.
It is rootable using method 3 (from jsroot)

they ar not same .. there are some changelogs .. but nowhere stated ..

Since B112 was OTA, it is probably a regional variant and so other regions and countrys gone get their variant too. I posted on other thread of UK getting their own ROM.

funny, you say that they're not the same and at the same time you post a link to a site where they mention in an article that B111 and B112 are pretty much the same. :good:
I cannot post any links yet but if you search the site for ascend p6 you will find the mentioned article!
both have the exact same kernel versions: 3.0.8-0780-g62cb956
all other fw versions have slightly different kernel versions!

Its mentioned on SRSroot website too. But it could be old. When i googled P6-U06 B118, i see older dated websites.
interesting, if we're going to follow the naming convention format, B118 should be the latest firmware version no.! !

In chinese VMALL (link) there is the B117.
I am really confused with thise different numberings. In italy now P6 is coming out from shops with B112.

Check the build number. If is C00, it is most probably China, if it is C900 it is global.

Updating has nothing to do with the SIM!!! I have AT&T and T-Mobile SIMs in mine and have used Huawei HiCare app from Play Store to get my last updates, they wouldn't show up via Settings -> System & updates -> Software update on phone.

You were able to update cuz you have AL00 version which is chinese and more flexible. We have the L29 which is singapore based that can only update with singapore sim or manual download via flash drive which is not currently possible cuz huawei hasnt released the 10.1 fw on their website for manual download.
Buy Chinese sim from amazon in US.. I bought unicom.. Insert it and connect to WiFi and all updates will come

For Europe at least, the update has not started yet. It is supposedly scheduled for the end of March... Also, it will still be Android 10 so not too many changes...
I'm waiting for the update to the L29 for singapore made phones.
