Hi,
I'm new on Pixel 6 Pro. With every cable (except Huawei) it says from 50 to 100% 1 hour, with every wireless charger from 50 to 100% 1 hour, with the Google 30W charger from 50 to 100% 1 hour ...
can you please explain why?
It's just an estimate. I wouldn't get your hopes up. If the phone starts to get warm, charging will dramatically slow. I'm not sure why the cable makes a difference. It's really how many watts is the charging brick from my experience.
Is your wireless charger a Pixel stand 2?
No, I used the Huawei wireless stand
I see your concern. Yeah, not a very good estimate huh?
Yes, but why with the original 30W Google charger 2 hours from 0 to 100? And any other too? My 10W charger needs 2 hours too

As a side note if you're charging it at night it will automatically be on "adaptive charging". I disabled it myself and set it "rapid charging" all the time

Were pixel batteries failing to such a degree that they saw something needed to be done, other phones have a means to protect your battery life and those same phone typically offer a toggle to enable or disable.
I think the implementation couldve been better.

Now here's the kicker... It's currently unavailable...but two days ago when I wanted to make this thread is was not even listed on Amazon, so possible restocking ? I don't know.
I killed my battery to the point of total shut down by about midnight Saturday night. When I got up about 930 am I was fully charged. Now I know we've seen longer run times leaving the charger on after 100% pops up, so to speak to that I am on 94hrs run time and have forgotten how to check Screen On Time...
I am now at that dreadfully annoying -10% level. So I can use the phone all day on 100% brightness but it will chime in all day to warn me of the coming Powerpocalypse to come

If you rooted your device you can put an xposed module on that will eliminate all low battery warnings.
On your setup, I don't really see the difference between it and using the OGP's standard high-power charger. The cable isn't going to do anything, as far as I can see. And the charging port is 8A/5 ports — from what I've read it adapts to the device to allow it to pull what it needs within that allotment, thus I don't see the OGP pulling more than 1.8A. So, my question to you is, you've tested the standard 1.8A charger against your setup and you get X hours reduction on charge time?
FYI, I don't have the ZeroLemon pack. Thinking about it but might upgrade my device to the GP2.
I have, it took a day and a half.

36 hours to charge?
Most using this pack state around 12 hours. Seems something is wrong if it's taking 36 hours to charge with the standard charger that comes with the OGP — normal battery charges in less than 3 hours. I've seen where some zerolemon packs hit 100% but are actually only half charged, thus causing increased charge times. . . . strange stuff.
Using Yoobao 2 Amps wall charger
My zerolemon (9000 mAh) only took 10 hrs to charge. And standard battery (3140 mAh) took 2 hrs using Yoobao 2 Amps wall charger.
I was hoping someone could tell me where to find 4A or 5A wall charger near Jakarta.
My zrrolemon zero lemon takes about 12 hours to charge AMD my standard battery takes about 2-3 hours using the stock charger

Im coming from a G2 and both have the same battery capacity and the g3 takes way longer to charge.
I have data and everything turned off. Its been about an hour and its only charged about 38%.
I was using the original wall port to charge but that took way longer, now im currently using a 2amp samsung wallport.
Anybody having issues with charging?
Two hours to fully charge a 3000mAh battery doesn't feel that crazy to me, I dunno.

With my experience, using the stock G3 charger works the best it seems.
When I first got my two white G3's last week, I set both of them up to charge next to each other. One was on the stock charger and another was on a normal HTC 1amp block (from my HTC One M7), obviously the stock charger was just a tad over 2x faster.
I then changed out the 1amp block and used my Note 3 2amp block and the Note 3 charger was about 33% slower to charger than the stock charger, quite surprisingly.
Bear in mind, the stock charger says it is rated at 1.8amps.
They were both setup and tracked with % increase in charger over a 2hr period, over two separate days, both with same services, brightness and other comparable settings to track as even as possible use and drain/charge.
Also of note, I saw that the battery for the G3 is a Lithium Poly and not the normal Lithium Ion batteries, was were in my Note 3, that might make a difference, but I am not entirely sure (haven't had a chance to research LioP batteries over LioIon).

That actually isnt so bad.
Can i use my old moto turbo charger for fast charging ?
Which is 12v*1.5amps ..
Tried mine and no same charging speed
You can use it but it won't "fast charge". The Honor 7X isn't a "fast charge" device.
BUT (yes there is always a but), use the provided plug... it's a 2A output. It will charge a little bit faster with it than ith your 1.5A one.
Sadly no fast charging, takes me 3.5-4 hours to charge regardless of what charger I use.
My other phone only takes 1 hour 30 minutes...
Wow..

In The United States of America BND-L24... You are looking at 2.5 hours max. from 0 to 100%.
I'm usually, 4 hours S.O.T. a day average and still @ 50+ %..... only once have I drained it in 2 long days.. but I pretty much watched a movie.. made a sandwich and it was @ 100% again.

Carefull to the USB wire you are using. They have not the same caracteristics.
I've bought one without reading... and it can't charge any device faster than... 0.5A... So my new 7X or even my old HONOR 7 just discharge faster than it charge...

Yes, you are right in that regard, like trying to force extra charge when it cannot do so.
I did however purchase a new usb cable 2.0A and it does charge slightly faster, around 3 hours instead of 4...
I've lost my honour 7x original charger

Use any 5V 2A charger or if available buy ERD 5V 2A charger it would be cheap and best
Ok so tmobile lg g8 wont charge up above 980ma current regardless of the charger or cables used and regardless of the battery level. So basically charging at less than 4 watts total. My one plus 6t will do at least 12 to 15 watts low battery charging.
What gives???
You might have a defective unit. I don't have any measurements, but my T-Mobile unit charges quickly with both OEM and third party chargers.
Ok did a test in stock charger took 1 hour 42 minutes to fully charge. Whats anyone else getting?

Could be the Optimized charging option in Setting/Battery. Uncheck and try again. This will slowly charge the phone to prevent unnecessary overheat and prolong the battery lifespan.
That option was turned off

Hi
I've not got the phone but as the charger isn't a proprietary one like Huawei and OnePlus the average charging time is about right. I had the HTC U11+ which had the same charger Quick Charge 3.0 and took over 1 hour 30 to charge.
Currently have an OnePlus 6T and the charger we get will charge the phone in over an hour.

Are you measuring the charge rate with the screen on? If so then that's your problem. Charging is limited to 5W when the screen is on to limit heat buildup. You'll need something like 3C battery monitor to record the rate when the screen is off. I've attached an example of my V40 charging on my Anker Powerwave 7.5 stand. With a wired fast charger it tops out at 2600ma.View attachment 4750253

Hey guys,
hope to get some help here on the forum. I couldnt find any other thread similar to my problem or didnt found it.
So i got the new Pixel 6 Pro and use it out of the box und drained the battery completely. when i wanted to charge the p6p i noticed that it charges really really slow. it took 1 hour to charge 16%. and 2 hours more to 32%. i left the phone charging overnight and noticing in the morning it was at 52% after more then 8 hours of charging.
Im using the original 30w google charger with the original cable from the p6p box. i also tried with my 30w charger from oneplus but didnt work either. i did a soft reset and a hard reset. left it charging with the phone turned off. I tried evertything.
Some of you experiencing the same problem or got any ideas on how to help?
Thanks in adavance.
Try disabling the adaptive charging when you need to top up before bed, this will slow charging rate so you don't overcharge when you have an alarm set that will be coming up within approx 8 hours
i disabled the adaptive charging option and even the intelligent battery option to make sure it charges "normally" but it didnt help.
you need a charger that supports 30W via PD 3 PPS to get fast charging.
OP charger does not suport either and old Pixel charger probbly does not either as this is first for Pixel phones being able to do 30W
i bought the new original 30 watt charger from google (https://store.google.com/de/product/usb_c_30w_charger?hl=de) and i am using the original cable from the p6p box. i just tried the oneplus charger to check if the google pixel 30 watts charger isnt working correctly

Hmm does it say charging rapidly when using the Google charger?
yes it does but it also says 16 hours left of charging
edit: now it says 1,5 hourse left. i will update after this time
now its stuck at 70% and it says full charged in 11 days ...
Have you tried different chargers or cables? Doesn't sound right
i tried different cables and everything ... but now i contacted the support and they change the phone ..

Adaptive charging, if you read the description you need to set an alarm to wake up in the morning, and the battery will be at 100% at that time or just before. So I guess if you don't have one set then it will take forever or never fully charge with those settings on.
I am still thinking of taking this stupid google charger back as there is no point having it and I had to buy it, than that over my older google chargers charging over night at a snails pace.
Even during the day when I plug either in they both say rapid charging, and old charger and new one 30W give the exact same full charge time estimation
If you can't measure what is going on, everything is useless. Get a power meter monitor, something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D316FHM
I have one for USB A and one for USB C. I literally threw away 3/4 of all my USB cables when I found out they were crap.
Just bought one of theses Anker USB C Charger, 65W .
Max power charging was 13.5W (9Vx1.5A), the same as my Pixel 3XL charger so back it went.
*Edit* After reading the article in Post #18 below it looks like the Phone is the problem and not the Anker charger.
I'm still looking...I miss my OnePlus Warp speed charger!
just to keep you up to date. i got a new one in exchange and it works perfectly ... so must have been a "monday model" (broken battery or something) - i am using the same adapter as before
I just got one of the 30W chargers from Google to give that a go
It charges @18W up from 13.5W on the Pixel 3XL charger, so no real benefit and nowhere near the 30W advertised.
Definitely miss the 65w charge from my Xiaomi which charges in less than an hour!
Tested: The Pixel 6 charges much slower than Google implied
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro charging is oddly slow despite talk of 30W speeds, taking nearly two hours to fully charge. Here's why.
www.androidauthority.com
for the first time since ive had the phone i let it get to zero and shut down today. Took most of the day to do so, ended up letting netflix play for 5 hours straight and must have been another 3 or 4 hours of tiktok before it died. I wanted to see how long it takes to charge fully. It finally died at 7:21pm and using my pixelbook charger which i think is 45w the p6p said 2 hours exactly to charge to full. Will see if thats accurate or not.
