Hello everyone. On YouTube I saw some videos where it was possible to activate the 120Hz frequency on the screen. I had already tried it when I had Android 11 mounted on the phone, but it didn't work. So, since I have now updated to Android 12, and to be honest, I don't like that much, I would like to go back to Android 10 to be able to take advantage of the 120Hz screen function. Is it possible to downgrade 2 operating systems?
Nope, not possible to get back to 10...
Maybe....maybe 11 if you're 'lucky'
However 120hz will never work on this phone... the mod your thinking of made the option show, but it didn't actually change the refresh rate.
The Note 10 and 10+ do not have a 120Hz capable display. Display refresh rate is a hardware capability; going back to 10 won't do anything.
Ok, thanks for the clear answers. Oh well, I'll try to go back to Android 11 anyway, because I just can't see 12, it gets on my nerves!

Highest I'll go is Android 10.
The bootloader version dictates how far you can roll back.
In this case my bootloader version is 2 on this Android 9 variant.

What do you base that on? Some of the sites that mention Lineage 15 if you google it? If the maintainer of the device decides to work on Lineage 15 it will come.
I found some sites claiming to know what devices that will get Lineage 15... They probably just guess and have the Lineage 15 stuff written as clickbait.

So:
I'm running now Los 15.1 on my n9005.
It was not a straightforward install.
I had to upgrade bootloader/modem, carefully choose the correct gapps and root only worked with magisk.
It seems to be a really good and super usable rom, excellent usability.
Anyway, I had a classic 8.1 oreo Bluetooth issue - phone calls are noisy/unusable; audio/music/pairing is ok.
What's the right place to report bugs about this awesome rom?
Hello guys,
I recently got my phone from Flipkart on discount and I was tempted to install Oreo and so I did. Now it suffices to say the battery backup is absolutely horrible (among other issues of course). Barely lasting me 12 hrs with average daily usage, certainly much less than what 4000 mAh battery should provide.
So people who're lucky enough to still be on EMUI 5.1, is the battery backup satisfactory?
If that is the case, I might consider rolling back.

Why would you want to be still on Nougat? Battery life has never been an issue for me

Then perhaps the Oreo rom of Indian unit (C675) is not optimised. I assume your unit is German.
Also, cool theme... Suggest which one?
The theme is this one:

my H8P doesn't sleep
I'm running my H8P with orio 8.0.0(C636). Now i'm facing an issue that my display is "running" in the background even it is turned off. That is , my phone keeps it self awake at all the time even if there is no juice consuming app running background. here is some screen shot

Just recently I noticed that 3d creator in camera app on Emui 9 is missing. Does anyone have that problem too? Can I get it back somehow?
Thanks in advance.

Not really. I remember while on Emui 8 the camera app had something similar to AR lens called 3d creator.
You are probably thinking of the 3D Creator feature. These screenshots show the feature existing in Android 8.1 on the Honor 10.
After you update to Android 9.x this feature will no longer be available. I don't know of any way to get the feature back. I'm assuming they got rid of it because it's not a very popular camera mode.

Exactly... That's unfortunate :crying:
I confess the only reason I went after it was the fact that Samsung rolled out AR Emoji creator for low end devices. I was hoping I could compare them. Guess not anymore.
Thanks for the info!
Me too
Me too, im not understand way dissapear 3d creator

I have two N10+'s, one on Android 9, the other on 10 which are their factory loads.
They will most likely never be upgraded because Google Android is more like a lame copy of Apple now.
Lots of issues with 12 across the board not just Samsung.
Roll back to Android 11 if you can and package disable OTA updates to stop this nonsense.
Android 9 and higher are reasonably secure unless you do something stupid.
Security is not an issue with Android 9. Almost 2 years on this load and no malware issues. Using only a few precautions like disabled wifi, Karma Firewall and care with installs/downloads.
Request to all OnePlus 11 users to request this feature on Op11 next update. It seems almost every new device have it and currently a much needed feature. This feature allows users to force 120hz refresh rate on specific app like YouTube, gallery app which is locked at 60hz and it makes the visual and touch experience kinda laggy. Attached screenshots and video is from Xiaomi Mi13 pro, Vivo Iqoo 11 and even upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 have it.

Are you sure 120 will be better, even if the OS is what is locking it? Might be the apps locking it as well.
Do phones who can force it to increase report better performance?

Yes there is no issue as my cousin owns Mi13 pro and I had Iqoo 11 with me for like 15 days, there is almost zero issues
There is no performance improvement it's rather better touch feeling in scrolling and gaming
Sure, feature to force 120Hz would be nice to some people but I personally wait for OOS update to fix the refresh for apps without forcing anything. I don't believe some people from ColorOS/OOS team made their official gallery app to be available only in 60Hz. That would be insane. Same for YT.
You can force 120hz system-wide by using this method
