Update to mwd49b

I got an update to mwd49b this evening. All I could find was some info for the Moto 360. Anyone know of any change logs? Looks like maybe just a security update.

lol am rooted so if it follows the same as it does on ANY OTHER android device it would fail.... AM not undoing all your hardwork on you rom and kernel justs for this...
My statement was that if he is rooted I VERY much DOUBT it would have updated so he is most likely on stock recovery and rom plus unrooted..

I've received the update tonight.
Since last 6.0.1 update, I've problems with battery duration(difficulties to end full day) and GPS accuracy (buggy and lot of signal losts...). factory reset, wipe cache, etc... doesn't fix the problems.
With this new update, battery seems to last more time, 10% drain in 4 hours with screen always on, wifi on, etc..
Tonight I'll check If GPS problems where fixed, but sounds very good

I have just updated my SWR50 via Xperia Companion.
- I can confirm that the Reboot option is back.
- Camera bridge application is working again, so if I launch the Xperia Camera on the phone I can take photos with the button on the watch. (it was broken in the first MM release)
- Incoming phone call notification still has a delay but it seems faster than the previous release, however it is not as fast as it was in the last Lollipop. (the contact details of the caller appears after a few rings)

Gps problem fixed: great accuracy on 35 min run
Battery problem fixed: 10% battery use every 4 hours with always on screen.
Reboot option back to menu.
1 May 2016 security patch included.

Well I get we need a dev to repack this so we can flash it over Alex6600's rom or on a rooted watch etc so we can all play

How can I install the OTA manually?

I got the update early yesterday here in Poland. When I got up in the morning the watch already had the notification about the update.
After applying it, the watch feels a little bit smoother and the battery is definitely better. I don't know anything about GPS, I've never used it, it's disabled. Reboot option is back, as was already told.

All the ROMs we have are based on roughly the same device trees and the same kernel (except for custom kernels, like Butterfly). You won't see any substantial difference in performance by just changing the ROM. I've heard that Butterfly kernel has some performance tweaks though, so I'd suggest checking it out https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/development/kernel-butterfly-daisy-t3919230

Needed if you can't register your fingerprint... No matter on which rom you are. For registration of fp a working persist partition is needed. This patch repairs the values of persist.img

For security reasons I've copied/pasted the resurrection remix Trebuchet as launcher,
because it allows me to secure access to apps. With this combo it's prefect for me.
Ah, just one thing is not working (not working on Lineageos nor RR too) : when I receive sms or mms,
the notification led does not work, whatever settings I chose...

What launcher came with the ROM originally? Would using one from f-droid (but keeping the original one installed) have the same effect?

Yes, they are the same firmware, and you can install them by fastboot

Awesome! Can you also install them as "offline OTA" updates?

so i sign in to the android 13 beta test and when i check for update i hade update to android 13 5 jully.
now i know thers newer beta but i dont have it when i check for update?
is this android 13 rolling to all devices slowlly or i cant get updates ota after sign to beta test ??

Yes, OTA is supported on the Beta, if you've officially opted into the Google Beta program.

Are you saying that you have a version of Android 13 older than Beta 4.1 (build TPB4.220624.008)? If TPB4.220624.008 is what you have, then you have the latest.
By the wording of the OP, it sounds like you opted into the Beta program officially, so when there are new versions (or the Stable version which will likely come out in a month from now), you will get the OTA to it.

As the Build number indicates, it is just a May Security update. No bugfixes, improvements or change to the camera.

As per the screenshot in post #1 of the April update, here, the Fold4, F936B, firmware for your CSC code EUX, (Europe), was released 10th April for everyone. For some reason you did not get the update.

But my build number says CWD9 and the kernal (also CWD9) is from apr 25?
Sorry, I am very confused…

Only the Baseband version remains the same CWCC ( from april ) the rest is CWD9 ( from may )
I also did notice that , and confused me ...
You did update to the latest !

I was going by the Build number you quoted in your earlier post, above, which you state is CWCC.
Your subsequent screenshot does indeed show that you are now on Build number CWD9 for May which was released earlier today.

Not yet its the most annoying bug for me it makes the car radio sound like crap when using power amp and bluetooth

A week later it is the turn of the carrier branded devices to receive the May update.
U.K. carrier devices on the following CSC codes are now rolling out...
BTE = BT (UK)
BTB = BT OnePhone (UK)
EVR = EE (UK)

Since the update, my device gets hot and runs battery down. Not all of the time but a handful of times throughout the day. Have to shut it down for a bit then back on. Have done this several times since the update.

After updating did you wipe cache, repair apps and use Galaxy App Booster?

I do the wiping of the cache after every update, but will do again....and going to do the app booster....thx
