Anyone know of a good way to disable my phone from vibrating whenever a Bluetooth connection is established or disconnected? This also causes anything full screen or even when typing a text to disappear or go picture in picture. For some reason my phone goes into these cycles where it connects and disconnects constantly for 5-10 minutes with my Garmin Venu. This is presenting problems when on a meeting within Microsoft Teams.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
I've had a Desire since Saturday - my first "smart phone", so pardon me if this is an obvious question - however I have searched on here and on Google and my question is not satisfactorily answered.
I have a Skype account and Nimbuzz installed on the phone. It doesn't seem to be possible to receive call notifications when the phone is locked. I see that Nimbuzz is an active app but when the screen is locked it disconnects itself after a minute or so and thus loses notification ability for incoming calls. Unlocking the screen shows it connecting again.
Is there any way around this? It's pretty annoying - I was expecting more from an "always on internet" appliance... (ok, I admit, it's pretty amazing in every other respect, but I'm being picky).
Anyone have any comments on this?
Which kind of connectivity are you using?
The default for WiFi (you can change it by using the menu key in the WiFi settings page) is for WiFi to disconnect after a time when the device is locked.
If you're trying with WiFi and you don't have a mobile data connection, perhaps the problem is that: WiFi sleeping when the phone gets locked.
Try altering the "WiFi suspension policy" and set it to "Never" if you think you might be in this case...
skype incoming calls problem in locked screen on android
Thanks this has solved my problem, it works fine on my android nexus2 but when the screen is locked I don't receive notifications of skype calls so I went to the wireless settings, went to advanced, then switched off the wireless sleep problem and now it works.
on the PC my skype call notification is within the first ring
on the android it's usually the 3rd or 4th ring on screen lock, and 2nd ring when not in screen lock.
I've looked all over Microsoft's WM7 sites and I haven't seen any place to give feedback on the phone. So far I really like it and coming from a quite happy 3 year iPhone user, I think that says a lot. I tried wireless sync last night, that's really cool.
I know an update is coming, I know it's going to be a work in progress, but where can we give some legit feedback? I know I have a good few suggestions and feature requests but haven't seen anywhere to do so.
Any ideas? Plus what features/changes would you like to see?
Obvious ones are custom ringtones, copy paste, etc. but I'd like:
1. set time before the passcode lockout goes into effect instead of every stinkin time
2. when a call comes in, not having to slide up AND press accept call
3. a reoccurring message notification if you missed a text
4. option to keep battery and signal level displayed at all times
5. a way to get back to messages while in a message (back goes to wherever you were before, not necessarily directly to messages)
6. A flashlight app that uses the LED would be nice
HTC has a flashlight that uses the LED, except on the one device they have with a xenon.
I'd suggest a car mode or docked mode for Zune, leave the screen powered on, unless I turn it off when connected to power and listening to music. If unplugged or paused, turn screen off according to settings in power management, (also if the proxmity sensor is tripped for more than 15 sec, assume I put the device in my pocket or flipped it over [while plugged in]).

On ICS, where can I find the settings for Wifi sleep policy etc? My Wifi keeps turning itself off after a time, and Im trying to get the the bottom of it, but cant find where those settings would be. They certainly arent where they have been for previous Android versions...
Go to Wifi Networks, click menu bottom on bottom right > advanced.
Even though mine is set to always stay on, it regularly turns itself off. Every morning, I've lost quite a lot of battery and I have no connection. Within a few seconds of the screen coming back on, it will reconnect.
Is this just me? (Android Revolution HD 2.1.2)
Its not working for me. No matter what setting I put wifi on it turns itself off when out of range for a certain period of time (about thirty minutes I think). Driving me insane.
Mine's only a couple of meter's from the access point, still turns itself off...
The same for me. Not 30 minutes but immediately.
For example the notofications appear only if I unlock the screen.
In wifi setting is on "keep always"
Example: i receive a whatsapp, email or facebook notification only when unlock the screen. Is normal?
With data connection all work fine.
I'm glad to know it's not just me. At least that means hopefully there is a fix coming at some point...

same here anyone an idea? sucks hard..
I figured my problem, traced it back to the Vodafone app, it was causing wifi to crash. Once i removed it it works perfectly. The problem stemmed from the vodadone app constantly trying ro find free wifu points to.automatically connect to.

Not sure how many other people have this issue.
When i receive a notification, and i check it on my watch (or even wake up the watch), it disconnects, then reconnects to the phone, so i have to wait a few seconds before performing any action.
Swiping the notification is fine, it does the same on the phone. trying to delete an email from the watch rarely works - it just goes gray and gives the "sorry that didn't work" message.
I occasionally had this issue with the G watch, but rarely.
With the 360, its very very constant, and very very infuriating, since I've gotta go to the phone to delete the email.
It seems that sometimes my calls get muted when my phone leaves the on-going call screen and switches to a something else/a different app.
Hopefully that makes sense, but I'm not even sure how/when it happens so it's difficult to describe. But basically, randomly, when I'm on a call the other person won't be able hear me. Every time this happens when I look at the screen I'm no longer in the phone app/on-going call screen. Once I swiped down on the notification menu and re-enter the ongoing call they can hear me again.
I've tried to duplicate the behavior by switching apps but can't seem to do so...Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it has something do with the the automatic do-not-disturb that enables during calls...?
Thanks
