I want to thank all the amazing developers doing their best to bring us these ROMs and I fully understand the challenges to ensure all parts of the ROM function properly. I'll hopefully be able to add a few of these other ROMs to that top list in the near future as I'm sure these developers will only continue to improve their products! Also note that I have not tested all of these ROMs myself, however there are strong indications in each since their last updates as of 1/23 that they do not work with Verizon's network. The phones indicate that there is no SIM card detected and to my knowledge there is no in-device solution to resolve this.
Please let me know if I missed any ROMs OR if anyone has had success getting any of these working with their OP8Pro on Verizon
Cheer up for 8Pro Verizon users.
I guess that we either wait for Oneplus to release the update or move to T-MOBILE.

If VZW can and does work on AOSPA then it can certainly be fixed on these other ROMs. I know the developers have a lot of bugs to fix and us VZW users are a small group so we probably aren't the top priority right now.
CrDroid has a 12 rom and I can confirm it also does not work with Verizon.

Ah ok cool, I'll add it to the list.
Also is see cherisos and OctaviOS both have updates today. I don't see VZW listed on the changelog, anyone want to take one for the team and double check?

Nameless Rom now works with Verizon on 8 pro. However I ran into a weird issue where 2fa message I could not receive. So I could not sign into my banking apps, venmo or even google accounts.

As far as I have read here in XDA. We have to wait for Android P GSI release, after which developers can start working on ROM for respective devices.
That still hasn't happened yet !! So you have to wait for that to happen before development can start.
There are rumors that LineageOS and Resurrection Remix ROM team has got their hands on that. But then again, I am not sure. It just talks happening in internet. But if that is true, expect ROMs based on those distributions tree to get P sooner than others.

They are business partners of Google. So those hardware makers will get much early access to up coming code compare to general public. As far as I am aware, this code is still not open source, so legally also devs cant modify or work on this.
Regarding devices, OnePlus, Pixel, Nexus devices and many more will get much early access to this beta.
As far as I know, code will become open source with GSI release and that will start the development for custom ROM !!

Can u help me in unlocking?
My phone is not detecting in mi unlock tool
Based on Pie: Pixel experience Extended
Based on MIUI: Masik or Revolution OS
Based on Oreo 8.1: AOSIP
Just use pixel experience. With the latest update, its good man!
On MIUI side, I can say EU rom
AOSiP Oreo is pretty good.
Using Bootlegger 3.0, it's stable too
RevolutionOS (AOSP or MIUI)
If you like customization:
For pie: PE Extended (Most Stable out of all pie based roms imo), MSM Xtended
8.1: Resurrection Remix, AOSP Extended I liked the most for customization and stability
MIUI based: Masik X
Roms without lots of customization bt stable:
9.0: Pixel Experience
8.1: LineageOS 15.1, Pixel experience
What is the most stable nd customizable MIUI based rom?? (Revolution OS/Masik/miui EU/miui HP/miui PRO)
i like MIUI 10 eu, they dont change system UI like other MIUI based roms,, its faster and smoother than stock MIUI and it has unlocked features from other regions, i tried revolution os and one other and they both mess with system UI elements which doesnt look so good at all, but if you want many customization options, than you can try revolution os, from others i tried, AOSP 8.1 based is best AOSiP, Pie based roms are not ready for daily usage for me, google didnt even finished developement on android 9 and has some bugs, but if you would like then Pixel Experience is way to go

Pixel Experience also seems the best Android PIE (9) based rom at the moment.
LineageOS16 is dead, or going nowhere lack of devs.
Someone shown me a site to customize MIUI rom and remove all unwanted things like ads, etc... If you want MIUI that's seems good.
Anyway, I prefer AOSP based so PixelExperience.
Note: it's also not moving very fast, even if it's probably the most advance rom at the moment.
For Pie: MC-AOSP the best Pie Rom ever
For Miui: Revolution OS

Hi!
If I understand things correctly, my Moto G5 phone is born with an Android OS version that only accepts 32bit code, although the hardware is 64bit?
Why did Moto do that? It sounds like selling a car with a 6 or 8 cylinders engine, and only use 4 of them...?!
And on top of that, I discovered they stopped updating that (primitive 32bit) Android 8.1.0 OS in February 2019...
Should I switch to a custom 64bit ROM? NB!: Stability and robustness is more important to me than fancy new features...!
I found 2 lists of 'Best ROMs for Moto G5'. The shortest recommends 8 here:
https://romsx.com/best-custom-roms-for-moto-g5/
So which should I choose?
NB: Moto G5 only has 16 GB.

You will have to ask Motorola for the answer to the first part
As for custom 64bit roms:
Lineage 17.1
Lineage mint (based on lineage 17.1)
ASOP android 10
Are the latest custom roms for this device (see dev section)
All will have the same issue with regards to camera/video recording not working fully

All 64bit roms will have the camera issue as Motorola have not released updated camera libs
The roms I listed above are the latest roms which will have the camera bug minimised but you will still experience issues in some apps like only being able to take a certain amount of photos before the app freezes, camera not working in low light, green tint, video not recording/saving and so on. You can use various other apps but nothing is perfect and you may still experience issues
The only fully functioning custom rom with no bugs will be the 32bit lineage 14.1

That is the most useful information I have yet seen about custom ROMs - thank you!
But according to https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/development/7-1-x-lineageos-14-1-moto-g5-t3611973 LineageOS 14.1 for Moto G5 is:
ROM OS Version: 7.1.x Nougat
Last Updated 2018-03-18
And the 'stock' OS on my Moto G5 is Android 8.1.0 updated in February 2019.
My intention was to UPgrade my OS, not DOWNgrade it... !
So THAT LineageOS 14.1 doesn't really seem relevant.
And on https://download.lineageos.org/ there doesn't seem to be a version for Moto G5(?) There are versions for G4 and G6, but not G5. (Neither under Lenovo - the actual producer.)
But thanks anyway!

Only official versions will be on the lineageos website
There is no difference between an official and unofficial version except the official versions are built on the lineage servers every week with any lineage side changes (not device side unless merged by maintainer)
However official versions have to meet certain criteria in terms of everything that works in stock rom must work in the unofficial lineage build submitted to become official.
As the camera doesn't work as it does in stock in lineage 17.1 it will never become official in its current state
They are listed under Motorola because that is the company that makes the phones
Lenovo is the parent company that owns Motorola

Hello guys. I would like to have a question. I've got a Pixel 6 Pro device and I'm using a ROM from a closed thread coz of the OP retired(unfortunately).
I was wondering if anybody who have the knowledge could pick up that ROM and continue the development. Being honest I didn't like my phone until Evolution X came up.
For my needs it's just perfect. I'm offering some donation as well if someone could do anything with that ROM.
Thanks in advance

There has been an attempt to build grapheneos for an OnePlus device but i remember the project got stopped as they could not really build it and there are people who have successfully build calyxos for poco devices for example poco X3 pro

I wish I could be possible because few people did try to port/build grapheneos but they failed to do it.
Btw there's also an option rather than building calyxos or grapheneos, i heard sebaubuntu(dev) is going to release lineageos soon so if he releases the vanilla build which he probably would of he's going to release it officially, we could install microg, f-droid, aurora store, signal, we do have to root out devices for it though

I'm not familiar with CalyxOS, but for those who want the AOSP experience sans Google, you can run an AOSP GSI. The packages with "GMS" in the title have Gapps; they do have some Vanilla flavors available as well.

Basically calyxos is an rom which is based on security the rom is fully de-googled so that Google can't spy on you and many more useful security features which you won't get in other roms you could search it on Google/YouTube and know what it is in depth

It seems like you could get this from a bare vanilla AOSP build, such as the Android Continuous Integration builds. These are pure AOSP - no Google anything added.
I mean yeah I do am using a vanilla build of lineageos and I have the same features as calyx.
Btw I did have tried the pure Android too that also was great but cause of no customisation i deleted it.
Btw thanks for showing interest
