Alpine INE-S900R Navigation - new OS Android? - Connected Car

Hello. My car has navigation Alpine INE-S900R.
Currently, the system is running with its own OS, but it is very restrictive. I would like to flash another OS - Android, but still do not know how to do it.
- it has a USB option
- 6.1' touchsreen display
- it has a GPS receiver (12 channel)
- it has Wireless technology (??)
- it has Bluetooth
- it has DVD, CD option
- it has an AUX option
- it has an SD card slot (which I don't think is working, because there is a card with map files, but on the interface is showing that the SD card is not located.)
I can access the back of the navi system with no problem (there is the SD card slot).
Do you have any suggestions from where I can start?

[Q] H3Lp / Desire locked

Hello everyone.
Big mess since this afternoon because of my dear desire.
I was surprised by connecting my phone to my pc to charge it to see my phone restart itself.
After an unbearable moment, my "precious", with a custom rom (OpenDesire 3.5), starts mode android naked.
Let me explain, here is what does not work anymore
- Any GSM network detected (neither mine or any other)
- No access to the contents of the SD card
- No recognition of the USB device
Here's what I did to test:
For sd:
- Formatting the SD card under Windows and Linux> still not recognized
- change card> still not recognized
- Copy of a file on sd> is not seen with Astro File Manager (File sdcard empty)
For USB:
- No icon in the notification area
- Enable / disable debug mode (windows wonder the driver cdma)
For the operator:
- Test my simcard in another phone> phone ok
And here for the manipulations that I get different results:
- Parameters / SD card and Memory> "sd card up" grayed
- Under Rom manager> SD Card not mounted
- Under Astro File Manager> sd card empty
- fastboot> recovery> ok on the phone, is activated, but does not detect device with pushfile (idem windows/linux)
- install rom official "RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3"> does not detect the phone
I'm beginning to dry.
Is it possible to flash the phone from the sdk without using the SD card?
I also think it would be possible to do a lot of things with Rom manager (installed on the phone) without the requirement to have an SD card mounted
Thank you 4 your h3lP.

External storage not recognised - Malay version 44 18/02/17

All
MTCB / KGL5
I've upgraded from stock rom 4.2.2 to Malay RK3066 4.4.4 version 44 18/02/17. My MCU is V2.53. I'm happy with it except for one small (major) problem - No external storage recognition. I can see my internal SD/flash, 3G USB and GPS external mSD but I cannot see my external USB, external mSD or external mini USB. The only other change I've made is to attach a dash cam through the DVR function. I've tried reformatting SD cards and USB sticks and various sizes. They simply do not appear in 'storage' and cannot be mounted. Won't charge my phone either.
Can anyone help?

Android Auto and SD Card

Hi everybody, I bought an Android Auto Multimedia Central for my car (I believe it is a Winca S170) with Android 6.0.1 and Atom CPU.
I connect an SD Card and it recognizes (show a message that an SD Card is been installed and show in Files Manager) but I can't access it from Config or install/move apps to it.
Do you know what may be happening?
Thanks!

I think you something is missing in the settings part. You need to check it. Maybe option to disable.

Did you find the solution? I ahve the same situation.
Not an SD card but I noticed a similar scenario when I plugged a flash drive into my front USB port of my SWM 8802: When I formatted it with Windows i was able to drag my music to it from my PC, but when plugged in to my Android head's USB port the flash drive could not be recognized. However, when I removed it and reformatted it using SDFormatter http://windows.softwsp.com/sd-card-formatter/, I then loaded my music on it, and the Android head could recognize the USB flash drive.
Try that first and let us know the results. I'm sure it would save a ton of headaches.
I'm in the same situation. I have a Winca S170 unit and I can't set apps like Spotify and Here Maps to save files in the SD card nor copy files to SD via file explorer.
I guess that this issue is related to documents system app. I downloaded the documents apk from apkmirror and tried to install over original apk, but with no success. Documents apk from Winca unit is half the size of the normal apk, so I guess it's modified to not show SD card.

Searching Google for this issue, I've discovered that SD card must be formatted in FAT32, no matter which size SD card are. Doing this you will be able to set apps to save files to SD card, tried in my S170 and Spotify and Here maps are saving files in my SD card with success. But in documents app SD card still dont appear, I guess Winca blocked SD card access on purpose.

Edit: [RESOLVED] Hard brick after attempting to wipe data/cache in recovery

Hi everyone,
I was trying to update my mtcd gs px5 headunit (2gb) that was running malaysk ROM 1.1 (Android 8.0) to malaysk's 3.5 firmware.
I followed the instructions, booted into recovery and hit install update from SD card. It installed successfully with no errors. The next step in the guide said to wipe data so I did so. Unfortunately this led to the unit's screen going black with a flash of text every 5 seconds that reads something like "can't mount cache/recovery/last_locale".
I attempted to create a bootable SD card using the instructions on malaysk's post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75664396&postcount=3254) but placing this SD card into the GPS slot and attempting to boot only brings up the screen in the picture attached.
I attempted to create this bootable SD using two different SD cards that are freshly formatted as well as a USB drive. I tried booting the unit using the sd cards in the GPS slot and into the regular SD slot. It only goes into that screen if there's a bootable SD card in the GPS slot.
For anyone reading this, It turned out this issue for me was caused by a faulty gps card READER.
Since I have an xtrons unit with two sd card slots (one standard the other gps) I just wired the standard SD card slot into the the GPS slot (they use the same size ribbon cable) and was able to boot from the bootable sd card.
Hope this helps someone.

error could not migrate data to the external storage

Situation - Conducted a full reset of TV. Added USB drive as extended storage. Migrated data to USB storage. Installed KODI 19.4, KODI is on USB Storage.
Problem - All KODI data continues to be stored under MISC on the internal storage of the TV (2.4 GB worth) When attempting to migrate data to USB in storage settings I now receive an error that could not migrate data to the external storage. How can I fix this?
Information
Model: KD-75X80K
Android TV 10
USB: Samsung 3.1 64GB
After formating the usb drive as device storage, select to migrate later, after that, with the drive formatted as device storage, Just go back to systems => storage => usb drive => move data.

okay so, your flash drive is USB version 3.1, but what about the TV?
The TV is also USB 3.1 but that has nothing to do with my problem.

I have attempted to use this method. I have four other Android devices that I did the exact same process to that have migrated data and where KODI stores its files on the new storage location. Only on this device am I having this issue.
I am curious if Sony blocked the ability to migrate data on their Bravia Android TVs. On my three other devices transferring data to the external shared drive has worked flawlessly.
UPDATE: I compared my three other Android devices against my Sony TV.
HISENSE Android TV and NVIDIA Shield Pro x 2
The above devices had no problem creating external storage on USB. ALL store KODI data on the USB and migrated data to USB.
SONY Bravia - The folders on both the USB and TV Android OS are secured. On my other three devices they are not. Even in developer mode with force apps to USB the USB folder remains locked.
I believe the reason KODI does not write to the USB is because the folder is locked to the program and so it continues to use the TV internal storage.
KODI has a solution to solve this issue in Android
https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Change_data_location_for_Android
HOWEVER, both my USB and System folders are LOCKED and there are only two ways to accomplish this fix.
Sony pushes an Android update to allow access to the folders
I ROOT my TV - No customer should have to do this
If there is another solution from tech any tech gurus I am all ears. However, as a long-time Sony owner, I am very disappointed that I paid top dollar for my TV because it has an Android environment only to find out through use that its capabilities have been limited impacting my ability to fully use my system.
