Hi,
Does anybody know where I can find the device tree for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5?
It should be located here:
GitHub - MiCode/kernel_devicetree at elish-r-oss
kenrel devicetree project for xiaomi kernel opensource - GitHub - MiCode/kernel_devicetree at elish-r-oss
github.com
But I can only find the device tree for the 5 PRO.
I would like to expermiment with building custom roms but I won't be able to do anything for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 (NON PRO) without the device tree.
Kind regards

@psndna88 , any chance to made your AGNi kernel to this device? The Redmi 5 Plus similar to Redmi Note 4 and 4X.
At the moment we have the source in this thread opening post. I'm not a developer, only test and finding bugs. If you build somehow anything to this device I'll test with pleasure.
Thanks your help!
This is not my work and I'm not part of the project in any way!!!

It's called "/e/" (slash-e-slash) and was created by Gaël Duval the creator of Mandrake Linux, one of the first easy distros for everyone in the '90s.

There is a lineageos 20 GSI that mostly works in munch.
You may find it at https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/treble-enabled-device-development-a-ab-roms.7260/

Is the same developer for Evolution X !! great. i am trying the LG20 tonight
According to SebaUbuntu's Blog , on Christmas 2022:
Hi everyone,
First of all, Merry Christmas!
Second: the kernel that will be used on LineageOS 20 for alioth, apollon and lmi has support for all the currenly released Xiaomi SM8250 devices, so if you have one of the following devices and you wish to maintain LineageOS for it or you know someone that is willing to do it, contact me, I can help if needed:
Mi 10 Ultra (cas), Mi 10 Pro (cmi), Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 (dagu), Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro Wi-Fi (elish), Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G (enuma), Redmi K40S / POCO F4 (munch), Xiaomi 12X (psyche), Mi 10S (thyme), Mi 10 (umi)
Similar situation will happen with Xiaomi SM8150, support for cepheus and raphael is already planned, but the following devices will have support in the kernel sources and are currently waiting for a maintainer:
Mi MIX 3 5G (andromeda), Mi 9 Pro 5G (crux), Xiaomi Pad 5 (nabu)
This is also the case for Mi CC 9 Meitu Edition (vela), basically everything is ready for it (also on the common tree)
Feel free to contact me in my group (@SebaUbuntuChat) or in private (@SebaUbuntu)
=============
I assume we just need some one know a bit of compiling/flashing for this to became official.

Is it possible to install lineage os (los) on a xiaomi redmi note 8 pro?
Reddit (
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/mnri7q
) and lineage os wikipedia (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/#xiaomi) and fork /e/ of los (https://doc.e.foundation/devices) deny and
mention just xiaomi redmi note 8 and 8T as compatible.
On youtube (
) there is a video showing flashing a claimed unoffical custom rom of lineage os for xiaomi redmi note 8 pro.
My questions regarding this are:
Is it really possible?
Is there a true unofficial custom rom?
Who made this custom rom and why can't one find it on xda?
Is this unofficial rom a fake or scam?
Please feel free to hit me with anything that is on your mind.

Better to find what you need from custom rom first. Your mind is thinking of LOS. But it don't have maintainer. They just build 1 or 2 build and drop.
And don't trust YouTubers too much. They made review for more views more than daily rom for users.

Why shouldn't it be possible? You need the LOS source and the device source, make changes and compile. Why arent you asking the developer, it is DarkJoker360, the maintainer of the official crDroid ROM for this device.
