Question Wifi Roaming / FT / 802.11r support - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi all,
I am searching for an AOSP rom alternative to stock miui that supports 802.11r / wifi FT.
Actually, I already tried with lineage, my preferred rom, but it seems that FT is not enabled and when I roam between my 2 ubiquiti APs I loose connection and packets. This lack for voip calls and some services is a real mess...
Any advices?

[Q] T-Mobile WIFI calling issue from behind corporate proxied-connection

I have no T-Mobile tower reception at work, and was looking forward to the wifi calling capability to come to the rescue with this new phone/service. Unfortunately, my work wifi requires a proxy-serverort for browser connection, and once I update the wireless connection with these settings - I am able to browse fine.
Regardless of the wireless signal strength, the WiFi Calling status states : Poor WiFi signal, before timing out with REG99 error - unable to connect. I have also noticed on this phone and the HTC EVO 4G, that while on wifi at work, my download speeds (via speednet) are high (>10mbps), but nothing shows up in the upload section.
Given the above, and knowledgeable of the fact that my corporate network does shut down access to other ports - is there any workaround to enable wifi calling behind a proxied network? I have even tried to add a new APN to include the proxyort to no avail.
wifi calling from the home network works without any issues, and yes i am rooted.
TIA for any help.
Found the solution. Turns out that accessing the proxied wireless network was the root cause of the issue. We also have access to a guest network, that interestingly does not require a proxy connection to the outside world, and that works perfectly fine!
Still unanswered then, is what ports does this phone require that are being blocked by the proxy server?
I would also like to know the answer to this. I do not have access to another wifi server to test this. What is weird though is that my Sensation that I just got rid of had no issues with wifi calling on the same network, explain that!

[Help] No data over network extender with GPE or AOSP ROM"S

Hey everybody.
I'm having an issue where I have no data while connected to my Network Extender at home while using Google Play Edition or AOSP ROM's.
Phone calls and SMS work fine over the network extender. I wouldn't mind if data didn't work as i'm on WiFi at home, but i'm unable to send / receive picture messages.
Next to my signal meter it shows a small R as if it were roaming, i've tried turning on Data Roaming in mobile network settings and still nothing.
On a Sense based ROM, it shows 3G and an icon that looks like a house with radio waves coming out of the top of it and data works fine (data, picture messages, etc.)
Wondering if anyone else experiences the same and maybe has any suggestions?
Thanks!
I had similar strange behavior with my Network Extender and a GPE ROM. Unfortunately, I just gave up trying to figure it out and switched to a Sense based ROM. I wonder if it has to do with the GPE ROM not natively being Verizon. (The ROM not knowing what a "network extender" is and how to deal with it properly.)

Thanks, that's kind of what i'm thinking. Figured it's worth a shot to ask though. I really like how my phone runs with GPE / AOSP ROM's.
This issue is just annoying enough to push me away from the GPE ROM's. I wouldn't care at all if I lived somewhere where i didn't need the extender.

CM7 / CM9 Wireless Hotspot issue

WIFI calling?

Hello everyone!
I have a quick question about wifi calling, I used to have a samsung s7 and when i had wifi calling it would stay enabled even if there's no internet connection (ie- connecting to a hotspot and having to login before there's an active internet connection) But on my LG G7 android 9.0 T-mobile variant, with that same scenario my LG G7 would disable wifi calling completely and I have to manually turn it on every single time I connect.
I only can because this is pretty tedious, I live in a very low cellular reception place and I rely a lot on wifi calling. There's times where I'm hopping between wifi and i have to enable it every single time, like 3 to 5 times a day. I was wondering if there's any way I can prevent it from happening.
TL;DR: Wifi calling - can I keep it enabled even if there's no internet connection and it would just activate once there is an actual connection?

WiFi Calling on Moto G 5G Plus with LineageOS 20.0 with MicroG

Hi everyone,
I've just bought this phone and had no trouble installing LineageOS 20 (Nairo) on it. Everything works well, got all my apps installed and data moved over and now I've discovered that the WiFi Calling function doesn't appear to be working, which is a deal breaker for me. My office has terrible cell reception and I have been happily relying on WiFi calling on my Galaxy Note9 using the same SIM can carrier on Android 10 so I'm guessing it's either a phone issue and/or an OS issue.
To confirm:
1. WiFi is connected with signal strength reported by OS as "Excellent". This is the case for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
2. WiFi Calling is enabled
3. Calling Preference is "Calls over Wi-Fi"
Is there something I'm missing here? I actually had a call come in, the service was pretty crap and when it dropped out there was a pop-up that said something to the effect of "You should use Wifi Calling".
In case anyone looks at this later on for answers, I managed to resolve this with a reinstall of LineageOS. It did have a problem though in that after the reinstall, the phone could not create a data session with the mobile network (Vodafone Australia). I managed to fix that by moving the SIM card from SIM1 to SIM2. I then moved the SIM back to SIM1 and it's all working fine now. No idea what the problem was, but all running smoothly now.
