[Q] Lock Pattern only at first boot?

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible for my phone to only ask for a lock pattern when I first turn it on, then revert to slide. If that is possible is there any way to lock it so it asks for the pattern when I want?
Thanks.
As of stock I don't think that's possible. Various custom roms like CM7 give you the option of adding timeouts to the pattern lock.
Or you can always default to using the simcard lock if you just want to stop the phone from being used without your permission.
You mean adding a pin to unlock the simcard would prompt only on first boot?
hope someone can help you
I think Tasker with Secure Settings can help you. With the two I have it set so that when I log into my home wifi I only have to put my lock pattern in once and out then reverts to the slide lock. I'm sure you could mess with the profile and set it up how you want.
Yep. It'll only trigger again if you go to airplane mode and back. Or when you reboot again.

Widgetlocker bypass, Stock pattern bypass

I don't mind the password pattern, since it protects my phone, but is it possible for my camera to bypass the thing and just go straight to it and require no password? Because when I do press camera, it automatically turns my rotation to put in the password and then takes a good 2 seconds to turn back to put the password in (since to rotated screen doesn't even allow password input). Like the iPhone, then ask for the password when I'm trying to exit out or look at the gallery, quick function type thing. Thanks in advance for viewing or answering or..anything! cheers.
No there is no way for the camera to bypass the lock but the lock still be there.
alright :/ thanks

LiquidSmooth 3.2 Help

I can set a lockscreen pin but it will never lock? any idea why and i was wondering if they got rid of the apple side bar tool on this rom.
After setting the PIN, did you choose the option to lock immediately or wait 5 seconds?

i dont no why i post anything. i already figured it out. it was something to do with the shake options i just disabled it. but now i cant use my slide unlocker to unlock or slide to use phone.
If you set a PIN or set a pattern to unlock the phone, I don't think you can use the slider to unlock the phone.

Q: Fingerprint and other lock settings?

Hello everyone
I personally preferred Fingerprint lock but uts not always working nicely and I mean it requires to enter pin or pattern lock
I wonder if this is a known issue and can be solved or this is a feature to increase security?

Otherwise you and only you can access your device, but when setting the additional settings there is a box for require on device start, which can be deselected

Hi guys. Wondering if anyone would like to take the time out and take the challenge to mod the notifications on the lock screen. In other words currently there is no option to reply to Texts directly from the lock screen without entering your passcode or fingerprint or pattern. Yes you can click reply but in order to start typing you have to unlock it which kind of takes the "quick" out of quick reply.
