i've been trying to buy a s9 locally but most of it are really sketchy or have a cracked display. so i checked ebay for one and a Korean seller is selling a SM-G960N for 280$. its the same price locally but i says its a really good condition one. the questions i have are,
1. Korean version seems to have a lot of bloatware but i can hopefully root or use cmd to remove them. i want to know if that's possible?
2. found of google that korean version phones don't have Lte or cant use it a country besides Korean that's what i read at least. is that real? it seams weird if it is.
3.could i re flash a international version firmware to it so that samsung pay will work?
that's all the questions i have hope they get answered soon.
thanks!!

You can flash G965F rom on G965N by using TWRP recovery. I changed my phone to S10 5G recently so i do not have One UI 2.5 for S9+. With One UI 2.1, you can try it https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682934101

OEM means Bootloader
my friend just if enable developer options the bootloader unlocked????
I just picked up an S20 Ultra 512gb SM-G988B/DS.
It's got O2 bloat firmware on it so it's O2U/O2U/O2U/EUX/O2U
I want to flash the 'non carrier' firmware which I assume is BTU?
So, looking at Sammobile I think the latest version from here....

I think the one dated 3rd Nov SCDUJ5 is the correct one.
Now, if I flash using Odin (or suggestions for another app if Odin is now too out of date) will it totally wipe the phone or will the current apps still be in situ?
I ask as I have some financial apps installed which are a PiTA to reinstall due to 3 factor authentication being needed for initial setup.
Thanks in advance
Hi,
thanks in advance for your time. In the past, I have used a patched odin to remove Verizon firmware from Samsung galaxy phones and flash the U1 XAA unlocked firmware on them. I just got my hands on a new V2 S21 FE from Verizon. I tried the normal process and it did not work. I assume because of the different CPU. Is there a V2 unlocked firmware out there anywhere?
Thanks again.
bump ?
Hi,
Can i change rom in canadian SM-G986W to version with more languages? For example to some europian rom. The canadian one has only few language to choose. If yes, ten nie and to with rom? Can you please sens me some links?
I'm interested to know too. The W variant has no eSIM support. I would like to flash to a variant that does.
Hi to all! I've got SM-G986W as well. I'm sure that esim is just blocked there by software. If someone knows how to unlock it, u would be so kind!) Thanks!)
Hi guys, I finally got rid of my G986W. I've converted it to G986U1:
Firmware: https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G986U1/TMB/G986U1UES3GWA2
SAMFW Odin Flash: https://samfw.com/blog/samfw-frp-tool-1-0-remove-samsung-frp-one-click
Just flash firmware with included Odin Flash (Add all files except HOME_CSC and don't use USERDATA).
I've flashed and my S20+ reborn as a true phone with eSim functionality and etc.

Were you able to add Canadian credit cards into Samsung Wallet?
I'm not from Canada, but firmware gives Samsung Wallet in default.

Мне тоже интересно узнать. Вариант W не поддерживает eSIM. Я хотел бы прошить на вариант, который делает.

Use U1 instead of W (region XAA) rom , with the latest version of security patch, and latest version of Odin. Esim will be enabled. Software XAA without carriers soft etc..
