i activate oem unlock in my europeen zfold 3
But when i am in download mode it says the oem protection is on. So any oem file i try to falsh i get a fail message. because of protected binary. Someone know how to bypass this ?
Before you try unlocking the bootloader, got to make sure that you know your cameras will stop functioning.
Another note is if you unlock your bootloader, then knox is triggered which makes it permanently disabled and all apps require it won't work ever again. Since they need working knox to work such as samsung pay, samsung pass, secret folder and few more. Secondly when knox is triggered then warranty is voided too. Since if you send it for repairs they will see knox has been triggered and that's when they know you have unlocked the bootloader.

I got a sim-locked GT N-7100.
On the one hand I want to be able to - at least temporarily - use it on another network.
But I was told by my provider that once I unlock the phone (which I am allowed to), I would loose my warranty.
So: Can I re-enabled a sim-lock (without anyone noticing it was temporarily enabled)?
If so, please tell me how!
I understand just flashing a stock firmware does not affect the sim-lock setting.
There are instructions how to un-lock (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014982)
but not to re-lock
Thanx!
Where are you from?
I'm pretty sure Europe and US providers have no right to remove a warranty for that.
You can flash a stock rom if you need to claim under the warranty and reset the flash counter.
Even a proper network unlock (with a network unlock code that you have to pay for) removes your warranty?

I'm from Austria.
According to this: http://www.answers.com/topic/sim-lock#Austria it should be legal. Was even told by a nice guy from my operator I could do it, just that I would loose warranty.
I know about flash counter resets, so if I choose to try a custom rom (my note is completely stock until now) I'll be sure to use triangle-away before flashing a stock rom
Don't have the need for root currently though.
I dont know about details of warranty when it comes to unlocking.
I don't get why I it would void warranty since doing unlocking is someting thats even supported by the stock rom (just try a different sim and you get a screen asking you to enter an unlock pin).
Anyway, i'm still curious if it is possible to re-lock a previously un-locked android phone!
I got feedback on another thread:
slotguy:
I used the same thread to unlock then reversed it and relocked the sim. I don't believe there is a way anyone could tell it had been toggled off and back on. It is a service menu on the Samsung device.
So I tried the instructions, unfortunetely the lock control menu is not avilable with my firmware.
So am I correct that the only way is to flash an older firmware (4.1.1) and try with that?
Hello,
I want to use my A3 2017 with Oreo firmware and root, but without Google or Samsung account. With all the latest trouble around RMM lock and missing OEM unlock, is this still possible, and what is the best way to get there?
Currently the device is on stock Android 6.0.1 and the OEM unlock option is accessible. Normally my first step would be to update to stock Oreo, then flash TWRP, then Magisk. Now there is a big risk that OEM unlock will be missing after the update. To get OEM unlock back may require logging in with Google/Samsung account and waiting 7 days. Doing that will store Google account info in FRP, which will in turn be protected by RMM lock and so forth. I tried the "software update trick" for OEM unlock on an different device and it did not work, so I don't want to risk losing control of the A3 that I plan to prepare for use.
My goal is to never ever configure any account on the device. When the device is rooted I want to remove or disable all Samsung and Google services. Is that still possible, and how?
Thanks
do not update from ota , download the latest firmware from sammobile flash it then flash twrp then flash magisk from and the frp fix zip (i don't remember the name but search here and you'll find it) before the device boots and then you are good to go

Hi
Thank you so much but you cannot explain me step by step because I'm not sure the right way.
Pretty sure with Samsungs once you trip Knox there's no way back. Made that mistake with Tab S4

Not sure what exactly you did.
Do you mean you just toggled "allow OEM unlock" in Developer Settings? If so, just go back to Developer Setting and toggle it back off.
Do you mean you booted into Download mode and confirmed you wanted to unlock the bootloader? If that's the case, I'm not sure. Maybe boot into Download mode again and see if there's an option to relock it?
Either way, unlocking the bootloader should not have tripped Knox or prevented you from using Knox services.
Now. If you unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP or any custom firmware, then Knox is tripped and that is irreversible. If that's the case you'll never be able to use Knox services on that device again.

I think once you unlock it trips Knox as it considers itself "vulnerable" then.

I used to think that as well; however, I've been told by a few Exynos users that unlocking bootloader itself will not trip Knox. I did some research last night and the site's I found agreed. Knox is not tripped until a custom recovery or firmware is flashed.
I'm NOT saying I'm 100% right about that. I have a US Snapdragon and haven't unlocked a bootloader since the S7Edge (I bought a Exynos model of that phone from eBay). I'm just researching and trying to help the OP best I can. It sounds like he tripped Knox and that can't be reversed, but won't know until we find out exactly what he did.

Yea SD here, he might have done something more than, instead of just toggling.
Hello all
SO I managed to get into download mode on my SM-t575 but it says that its managed by an organisation and was wondering if anyone knows how to disable the Knox on it ?
Thanks loads
Hi, does anyone know how to do this ?
Thanks
a year later and still trying to get into this tablet
anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks
Hello @Rixsta_musicman! Do you mean to be able to unlock the bootloader? I don't think there's ever a way to "disable" Knox, at least not anymore (i.e. disabling the bootloader will trip Knox and there's no way around it). Your device is a carrier device, correct? Has mobile data capability? If so, then see @googlephoneFKLenAsh's post below, which probably applies to you too:
googlephoneFKLenAsh said:
Samsung devices (at least those with snapdragon cpus) on T-Mobile are not eligible for bootloader unlock anymore from 4-5 years ago.
The only option is to get the Wi-Fi only model. No cellular model in the US supports bootloader unlock, no even for the carrier-free unlocked model if it ever exists.
Or wait for an exploit for unofficial bootloader unlock which is possible but very low chance and you may need to pay 3rd party services to unlock if it happens.

Thanks, the device has a pin code to get in that I am not sure what it is and i want to be able to get in and root it, there's no way to get past the knox pin. It does have mobile capability yes, Ill check this post thanks a lot
Protected by knox cloud apparently
Im not sure if it was on T-Mobile though originally and the device is from the UK
Hi i've got a question. I recently purchased the A5 2017 (A520F) secondhand and i want to put a custom rom on it. I have unlocked and flashed tons of phones and tablets in the past so i'm far from a newbee.
My phone has "Bootloader OEM unlock" in dev options.
When i go into odin download mode (vol-, home+power) i dont get any message regarding "RMM state: Prenormal". FRP is unlocked.
Does this mean i'm all set to flash anything without the RMM.zip?
I'm having the latest security patch Jan2020 and Oreo bootloader. Knox is 0x0. Are there any other ways to check RMM state?

Reboot device just to check that OEM unlock is still enabled.
Yes, Bootloader OEM unlock switch is still activated.

Then read a guide like this, there are other workarounds though https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...e-prenormal-on-oneui-android-pie-9-0.3911862/ but don't flash custom binaries while you don't bypass RMM prenormal status.
Yeah this requires a linux distro so i guess for that method i have to run linux in a VM or dualboot on another partition.
However, it still doesn't explain why i don't have a RMM message. Maybe RMM is gone altogether (not sure if thats possible tho).
Anyway thanks for your replies.

Oh, sorry, I read bad, and nothing about KG?
It means you don't have remote restrictions, even with FRP.
In this case, you are able to flash custom binaries.
No problem bud, happens to the best of us. Nope nothing about KG either. I wil try and flash twrp etc. Worst case i'll flash back official firmware. Thanks for the help!
Solved: There was no RMM/KG on the device at all so i went and flashed TWRP and Rise-Q OneUI 2.5. Everything went smooth as butter.
Good, if it is not present in download screen, then in this device, either RMM/KG are not implemented.
