Hi I am VERY new to all of this and would like to know how to do a few things. First of all the Android guide on the S8500 did not work for me but I will leave that for another time. I have a Samsung Wave S8500
<SW VER>
S8500JHJH3
<CSC VER>
S8500PTRJH3
I got my phone in Israel from the phone company Orange, and according to samfirmware this is not an Israeli version. Some research got me to think its because my phone came unlocked (its a newish law in Israel). My Bada version is 1.0.2 which is pretty ****ty for the phone specs and all. I was wondering a few things.
1) If I flash this and update to 2.0 and don't like it or need to get my phone fixed or something could I/how could return it to factory settings?
2) Kies does not want to update lmao so how can I make it update?
3) Whats better in bada 2.0?
4)Later I will want to know how to port to Android but as I said I will leave that for a different time.
Thank you nobody for replying?! What great forums...

Hi,
1) yes you can go back to Bada 1.2 or other samsung firmware but not your operator firmware.
2) you can update by multiloader and install firmware samsung available on www.sammobile.com
3) A lot of things are better but for now it's only beta version for S8500, waiting for final release... so you could have some bugs.
4) I'm not sure about the interest of doing that... It's only for having market, for the rest you can not even phone... with your phone.
Wish it helped.
Thank you very much. That was very insightful and helpful.
How can i port back to bada 1.2?
I get this error in multiloader: ERR : Dbl Erase
What does it mean? and what can i do now??
Hello I just bought Galaxy watch and I believe it was manufactured in Saudi arabia. I'm missing some apps such as spotify and galaxy app of my phone is in arabic and I can't seem to change that.
Is there a way for me to switch the region of my watch to something like USA so that I could install Spotify. and I know this isn't related but how do I change the region on Galaxy Wearable ? when I acess galaxy apps from it everything is in arabic which is really annoying.
Thank you !
Are you able to identify your exact Watch Model Name?
Example...
SM-R800 or SM-R810 or SM-R815F or...

Model: SM-R800
Serial No : R5AKA0NGARA
Tizen version: 4.0.0.1
Software version R800XXU1BRJ4
and it's the 46mm version
I hope that's helpfull
You can change to XAR, this is the CSC/Sales Code for USA...
With Tool SDB...

This is not temporary... this is static...
To Reset to "default" you have to know your CSC/Sales Code... and go the same way to choose it...
So I suggest first... identify your active CSC...
Code:
launch_app csc-manager.csc-[B]verifier[/B]
Then NEXT step to change...
Best Regards
Thank you so much. Last couple of questions. excuse my noob tech skills :silly:
but will this void my warranty ( as far as I understand I can switch back csc to what it was and they won't notice I changed that). and will I still get future updates or is this process is similar to rooting on android phones
again.. I'm noob at this

NO problem.
Please remember thes tiny hints...
A
I am User... not Samsung Seller nor in any other kind married with Samsung...
B
What ever you see CSC/Sales Code related... is "against" Samsung policy/rules crap...
Otherwise they would give you official instruction.
C
CSC/Sales Code aka region lock/crap Branding Warranty Tales...
Serial Number detects Original Factory CSC...
This is why they ask you about Serial Number...
D

What ever I say/write...
and if you fail...
You can never say... but adfree told...
Please choose wisely...
Or ask Samsung and/or your Seller...

1. If you don't have Samsung Health Monitor (SHM) present on your watch as default app, you can get ECG and BP working with Indian CSC without any system modification simply by installing 3 apks (modified SHM, ECG and BP).
2. However, if you have SHM already installed as a system app on your watch (from Samsung firmware), then you can only get ECG working with the modified SHM apk and the ECG tpk method. The system app won't allow the BP to work (it's locked out by Samsung). You now have 2 options:
A. Use the alternate method detailed by @Dante63 in his thread (involves seting up a java environment on your PC, and using Tizen studio to sign your own apps)
OR
B. Change CSC on your watch to mimic a watch bought in countries where SPay, BP, ECG etc are officially unlocked by Samsung.
I've used the method in B and Changed CSC to ZTO (Brazil) and everything is working fine in India (I live in Chennai)
All this is much easier if you have a Samsung phone, but still do-able with other brand phones.
This thread by @Dante63 has all the information you need for getting ECG and BP working without modifying CSC: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-restriction-removed-11th-april-2021.4202685/
For changing CSC, follow the instructions in TechnoProz's video on YouTube:
You can choose to buy combination firmware and stock firmware files from the internet, or use files uploaded by @adfree and @Nmc_alvesĀ® on this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/firmware-r820-r830.4161883/
Just make sure to double and triple check your watch model number, and your firmware and Tizen version carefully before proceeding because a bad flash can potentially ruin your day and although recoverable, it's a pain to get USB Odin working on a watch.
I will also add that if you want Samsung Pay to work, and you do not have a Samsung Phone, running stock ROM, you will need:
Install Magisk (root/superuser access)
And then will need to:
check you pass SafetyNet (you might want this to test, as currently the inbuilt test in Magisk Manager is not working: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.safetynet.sample ) Passing SafetyNet can very much be down to the ROM, so you may need to seek help from the ROM thread of the ROM youre using
enable MagiskHide under Magisk Manager Settings
enable MagiskHide for ALL Samsung related packages (Gear/Samsung/Watch Plugins)
enable Hide The Magisk App (call it anything but anything with Magisk in it)
reboot
then try adding card to Samsung Pay
If Samsung Pay even sniffs root you will NOT get Samsung Pay working - as it writes to a database somewhere and you will have to erase data for the Gear/Samsung/Watch Plugin apps and reset the Watch to start over
Im in the middle of doing a write up on how to keep the watch and Samsung Pay working across ROM flashes....i wont throw that on you in this post
p.s. Welcome to Freedom, from being stuck in the Apple cult. You've made it!

Looking forward to your write-up. Sounds very intriguing and I'd love to hear more about it. It's amazing to see how large corporations like Samsung employ sneaky traps to stop people from modifying their phones and how someone determined enough can figure out ingenious ways to bypass all that It's a perennial cat and mouse game that I quite enjoy.
Looking forward to your thread.

While i can maintain the watch connection and Samsung Pay across ROM's (it is just re-using the same Android ID and magisk.db (that stores the magiskhidden packages)), there doesnt seem any way (currently) to maintain BP calibration data ....so i do have to recalibrate that every time
I dont enjoy the cat and mouse at 50

At present when i am trying to follow dante's instructions to install 3 apps.. i get to do it successfully for shm and ecg but i get failed to install message for bp monitor app. Any clue why? I tried 3 apps from different sources multiple times.

Can you please describe what you're doing a little more clearly? Tizen 5.5.2.2 can mean one of many firmwares - DUA3, DUA7, DUD1. Which one are you running?
The SHM app you're installing - is it the phone app or the Watch companion app?
Are you trying to install ECG and BP standalone apps along with the SHM app for the watch? You don't need all three - either install the first 2 or the 3rd one (it has ECG and BP built in)
When I was on DUA3 firmware, I only installed 2 apps:
1. Modified SHM app for the phone (v189)
2. SHM companion app for the watch
This got both ECG and BP working.
After that I have changed CSC to get these apps natively and am on DUD1 firmware, so I'm unable to test for you if Samsung has done something to disable BP in the newer firmware.

Hello everyone, for some time I have been looking for an answer to the question related to the removal of Root Magisk from my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Exynos [SM-N975F | d2s] because I would like to go back to the original software that runs Secure Folder, Samsung Health, etc ... I tried to do it according to this guide: Link but after restarting and flash the phone shows information that it was previously Rooted.
On Friday I called the samsung hotline where I got the number to the nearest service center, by calling the service I found out that they can fix it but I will have to bear the costs.
I am asking for a hint because I don't have the strength to look for it anymore, maybe I'm doing something wrong?
I install and root my phone witch this tutroial: Link

The root is hardware fused. there is no getting back to stock. You can look up some software that can mask the previous root to start Health and some other apps, secure folder will never work again but there is a alternative.
Sorry M8
Not sure about android 11+ but on 9 i have root and secure folder working.....never tried health though. I think i remember 10 was able to get secure folder working, I'd guess 11 does or will, but can't say for sure.
This might help to get health app working

Hello guys,
I have seen a lot of topics on this subject and honestly i don`t know were to start. Yes, i am a old guy and total noob on flashing roms and so on...
Recently my carrier in RO, Vodafone has implemented an option that allows using ESIM on other devices. that being said i proceed activation the option and trying to make my trusty companion R815F to work. Went to Samsung care and they told me that the watch is using an UK region code and will not work with my RO carrier. ( bought the watch also in Romania but .. well apparently it was destinate for other country code)
My watch :
Model number: SM-R815F
Serial: RFAN31FSY2E
SW version: R815FXXU1HVG1 SM-R815FZKABTU
Tizen version: 5.5.0.2
What have i done till now:
- developer mode on
-debug mode on
-download ODIN
-download SDK
-connected to watch via CMD
-tried launch_app csc-manager.csc-pre-configuration - getting an error " internal/external comand ... etc"
Now, being a total noob i don`t understand the next steps:
- do i need combination file and firmware rom for changing the region ?
- do i need to downgrade to tizen 4 in order to do something ? ( how to ?)
- where to find stock firmware - which one to choose because i found something that is paid and i don't want to waste money on something that is not working
Please if anybody can help me or give me a hint were to start it will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
A

Hi,
Sorry for being so impatient But did you find something?
Thank you,

Sorry.
I have nearly nothing on my HDDs... only really old files.
My suggestion for you.
Search for Firmware Files in Internet...
You can post here what you found. BEFORE you try,,,
For instance start with this file:
Code:

Sorry I have my own problems and limited time and energy...
So you at your own...
Good Luck.
Best Regards
You searched for SM-R815 - CombinationFirmware.com
combinationfirmware.com
Here seems only older...
You searched for SM-R815 - Samsung Combination File

Found via Google...
I finally made it work thank to user: Jon199102 on Reddit.
He point me to a "hidden feature" of Galaxy Wearables - hidden menu to activate QR code searching/integrating -> auto or manually set up the ESIM. after enabling it i scan my qr code from VDF Ro and 10 minutes later everything was working
I don't really know if it is allowed to post the link to Reddit but here it goes :

Thank you adfree for your time and knowledge sharing. helped me also in understanding a little bit the region change
