Boot Looping Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 scenario1- If you cannot access your device, download the ADB and latest version of Odin
2- Hold Volume Down + Power and HOLD (I'm talking even after booting, I believe this clears the cache and re-initializes
device lock
3. Repeat. . . .
Many people give up or move on to something else at this point to try to fix, if it's still not working
squeeze the front and back panels together (softly) to ensure no loose Display cable,
then... hold
VOL+ VOL- + PWR This resets the device as if you were pulling a physical battery out, clearing the cache, repairing security program. REPEAT until Tablet says cannot initiate Encryption service, and will repair itself. IT WILL REBOOT
No need to hold the buttons this time as you will see your login screen.
The Secret is VOLUME UP - VOLUME DOWN + POWER for 45-50 second intervals.
Took me a day and a half so I figured I would save you some trouble.

+Yes it is still possible that this does not repair your tablet, I do not suggest taking off the back chassis as I have seen professionals break and hard brick devices this way.
IF YOU DO - Use guitar picks and or the official phone repairkit tool. YOU WILL need it.

So I dropped my dash and it landed perfectly on the power button. I wasn't even that far, I was sitting down and it slid out of my lap as I was sitting down on a small chair.. maybe 2ft drop at most. Well it pushed the power button too far in and it ****ed up something to where I cannot use that button. I have, however, stuck a paperclip in the right position or the right "button" on the phone's motherboard/chip and it has turned off/on.. but that's a gamble (I don't know how I hit the right spot, but I've done it twice).
Is there any way I can fix this? I know the warranty will not cover it.. so I'm thinking about opening up the phone myself, but I don't know what I would do from there.
Also, if I wanted to flash the new 6.1 ROM, does it require use of this button? I've been too afraid to attempt this new ROM as I don't want to get stuck in a situation where I can't turn my phone off.
*Currently I'm using a program on my phone to perform a "soft reset" when I need to restart my phone.
Thanks for any help!

Oops, double post. Sorry.
You don't have to use your power button to flash a new OS. However if you run into problems, you might need to use to turn your phone back on. It's a gamble.... it all depends if you're up to it or not!
Ok, how about opening it up and fixing it? Is it possible to open it up and re-seat the power button so that it works again? Should I buy a new button from someone with parts?
You get a whole new case, which I'm sure comes with a button... or Try www.cnn.cn for parts. Or open the phone and see if you can fix it, maybe it's just an easy fix.
Today I experienced the fear that my Z1C was dead.
I went into the water to do some video and after about 14 minutes of video on my Z1C reboot, after the reboot I take another video about 4 minutes after that turn off completely, I go out of the water and did not want to turn on, 3 vibration and black screen, I remove the simcard and the memory and let some air, I notice that the simcard there is a bit of water a few hours after arriving home plug my phone to my pc et woilà my Z1C turns on normally.
What could it be?
sorry for my bad eng
After about 30 minutes of running I blew it with the compressor , now even attacking the PC is in fastboot that in flashmode don't work, appears the red light then green and then 3 vibrations
after a couple of hours I think I've solved, I hope can be of help to someone in the sony site I found a useful information of which I did not know the existence, attach the button image for forced shutdown of the phone, after switching off the phone thanks to the little key into the slot I connected the phone to pc and flash with flashtool the original image, now my z1c come back :victory::victory:

Good Morning!
I have lurked hear on and off when I had problems before with my Samsung phones so I thought I was qualified to help my Wife's parents with their Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. They aren't techy and will buy something new at the first sign of trouble. I was just hoping to save them a couple hundred bucks. All they told me was that it wouldn't turn on. I'm not a techy guy myself but I know how to google and follow instructions so I'm the de facto IT guy in the family.
What it appears is happening is that it's stuck in a sort of reboot loop. I read a bunch of threads about starting in recovery mode and hard resets or hooking it to the computer and updating it from there but nothing works. The computer won't recognize it when I plug it in since it's constantly rebooting. None of the button combos (power+volume up+home, etc.) work either.
I made a quick YouTube video of the problem but as a new member I can't post it but it just flashes the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" on and off until I suppose the battery dies.
Any ideas on what else I could try?
If this battery connector is severely cracked, your tablet won't be able to boot.

You can try this, press hard on the back cover near the center to see if it can boot or remove the rear cover and press directly on the battery connector while power on.
Power + Volume Down ( next to Power Button ) is Download Mode
Power + Volume Up is Recovery Mode.
If you cannot access these two modes, may be your power or volume buttons are not working, I guess. The flex cable for these 3 buttons only few dollars on Ebay.
When I make or answer a call and put my phone up to my ear the proximity sensor kicks in and the screen shuts off. However, when I take the phone away from my ear the screen doesn't turn on again. Sometimes(maybe 25% of the time) I can press the power button to wake up the screen but usually the screen is just stuck off until the call is ended. I don't even have a screen protector that might be getting in the way.
Anyone else having this issue?
Android 7.1.1 (Build N4F26I)
Haven't had this issue and I used stock for a while, the same build as you are on.. What were you on before? Did you use any scripts or kernel tweaking apps that may have left something on your SD card? I'd look using root explorer or another file manager and delete anything you see in that folder etc/init.d and reboot. (Screenshot attached) If you have nothing in there and don't have any scripts active or kernel apps controlling your screen off I guess it could be faulty hardware. (Power buttons always are jacked up on Nexus devices. I have to hit mine a few times to get it to work...) Maybe try a factory reset if nothing above applies or works that's what I would do. Copy all your stuff to your laptop or a cloud and wipe that baby in twrp. Format data then go to security settings and encrypt again if that's what you want..
Edit
If none of that works I'd contact Google and ask for a replacement.

Sent from my Bullhead, DU rom of course. ?
Got the same issue on PN6, it was the elementalx 2tap to wake feature that's was problematic
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
So my phone keeps restarting and it actually opens up and nothing happens until I unlock the phone. Once I do unlock it, everything freezes and it reboots.
Any solutions guys?
A recording of what happens
have you tried to wipe the Cache from in recovery?
The phone is not loading the recovery as well. Not sure if I'm doing it right but I keep holding power and volume up when it is off, but it just boots normally.
Getting a message "PDP ... Backup Fail"
Update: I could enter the recovery by connecting the phone to the PC and wiped the cache.
Yet, the issue still there.
Maybe time to do a factory reset ?
OP, have you modified the system at all? Unlocked bootloader, rooted, and/or installed a custom recovery or OS?
Also have you added any new apps ? Maybe you added something that isn't playing nice.
You could try to boot to safe mode:
Simultaneously press and hold the
Side button
and
Volume down button
(right edge) until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release.

Touch and hold
Power off
until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release.
To confirm, tap
Safe mode
.
This process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
With Safe Mode enabled, ensure Airplane Mode is turned off then test device and app functionality.
