My op9 pro is running android 12, and is completely buggy, also, take a look at what it says about the processor!
I just want to go back to Android 11, but don't want to root my phone, is there a way to do it without rooting?
its Buggy you have a 888+
I read somewhere that they recommend you reset the phone back to factory defaults after upgrading to 12.
Doing this has resolved a lot of flakey issues when I've flashed custom ROMs in the past.

Just follow the instruction to go back from the Beta 1 Thread in OP Community.
Download System updater apk there, download the downgrade zip there and use that to go back to A11.

Root folder is the folder you have Android/Download/Pictures basically Internal Storage. There's where you need to paste it and remove .jar in the end

Mine was super buggy too. Try to factory reset and when you restore from a Google back up DON'T select "wifi settings, passwords, etc" . I had all my notifications saying "enter to view content" and a whole bunch of bugs that doing that fixed. As for putting the zip at "root" just put it here.

What happened:
1. Used TWRP to flash an earlier System backup
2. Boots but two system apps force close and phone reboots
3. This goes on indefinitely
4. Can no longer go to either recovery
I'm thinking I should use FlashTool and flash a default System for 14.5.A.0.270 but I can't seem to find any firmware image for it. Does anybody have this/better idea to get me out of the boot loop?
Edit: found the file, will report back.

If possible, yes. My last complete backup was on September. I'm still waiting for the firmware download to finish, however if I that doesn't work (won't allow me to flash) I am completely OK with wiping everything.

I wasn't sure from the first post. Does the phone stay on if you don't do anything or does it automatically reboot? I was thinking a good first try might be NUT dual recovery installer, but won't work if phone won't stay on. Check back after your flash attempt - note that you will likely wipe all of your data if flashing with FT.

If you can't boot, you might be able to save data through adb. If you give up on saving data, either Emma or PC Companion can repair phone if you can't get FT to work. Since they're both official Sony programs, they may be easier to get working with Win10.

Which fw did you flash? If it's 5.1, (368 at least, not sure about 216), I've read that Kingroot method is working now. Look here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/general/root-14-6-0-368-via-kingroot-t3242735 . If 5.0, there is a root tool that will work. Once rooted, flash NUT's installer for recovery.

I got everything back to 270 now. Currently at the optimizing apps part. This all began because I upgraded SD cards and while everything was carried over through a plain copy-paste, my Walkman playlists and favorites didn't make it. I somehow equated the System portion as a possible fix.
Anyway are you on 5.1? Does NFC unlock works? Thanks for pointing me at the right direction.

Haven't had any problems with 5.1. I flashed stock .216 few a week ago, and have since rooted, modded, etc., and everything good. Your problems were probably related to PRF. I've read the same from others

Use 'installer' option from Z1c downloads on NUT's download page. It's never failed for me. Just watch phone screen and grant 'OK' for adb access and for root. Besides that, if you have unlocked bl, use fastboot or Rashr.
Thanks

Yeah i had tried that. The BAT right? I ended up flashing multi twrp and then using that to get NUT's, he's made a sweet recovery.
So I've stayed at 2.19.40.20 because I wanted to wait to see if a better way to unlock the bootloader would be found, but I've given up and unlocked my bootloader (the unoffical way).
I want to get up to speed and update to the latest OTA.
Can I just flash the latest one or do I need to download every one til the newest update and sideload them individually?
If I have to do each one can I just load them one after the other, or do I need to reboot the phone and let it fully load to the OS for every update?
I did side load the latest one when I was coming from the 18 something that came with my phone. Loading the full 1.1gig firmware did the trick.
So just for clarification, to take me from 2.19.40.20 to 2.20.40.139 I should just flash the latest Stock ROM from the ASUS site?

Does unrooting include removing Xposed?
Yes, and don't try to install it after you get to 139 firmware, as far as I know it still causes bootloop.
Wait, if I flash the 1.1 gig stock ROM, do I lose everything in the internal memory?

I did a little digging, and it seems that the bootloop was fixed a few days ago:

Good to know. No, you would not loose anything, at least I did not. Everything migrated over without any issues.
So I've gotten through sideloading the current version with no hiccups. Booted into system fine, it's the right version in the About section, and my internal memory came through intact.
I've flashed TWRP, and booted into it to install SuperSU when I got this message: "TWRP may have detected an unmodified system partition"
It explains that I can keep it as read only and make it easier to take official updates, but then TWRP will not be able to stop the stock ROM from replacing it and will not offer to root my device.
Should I keep it "Read Only" or should I allow the modification?
Sorry if this has been asked before (I couldn't find anything) but is it possible to upgrade a rooted 3aXL to Android 11? Or do I need to un-root, upgrade and try a fresh root on A11? Thanks.

Download the full image for Android 11 then use either the flash-all.bat file (will do a factory format so beware) or adb sideload it.
Going to a new version of Android it's always recommended to factory format.
Either way you will need to re-root after using magisk canary
This is pretty much what I thought. So there's no way to keep root then :crying:

Cheer up @boominsko you act like you loose root permanently. After updating just do the patch boot.img thing. Make sure to use the latest Magisk Canary. Also make sure to switch to canary channel.
Haha! Yeah, it's not so bad. Just a bit of a pain in the backside to fiddle around with files and ADB etc. Oh well. Thanks for the advice though!

You have to redo root even after security patches every month. This is no different
Hi,
I have rooted my P6 Pro to test a few things and now want to go back to stock rom with locked bootloader from Magisk.
I have the bootloader currently unlocked and security and verity disabled.
I have looked at android flash .com as it was suggested was the easiest way but I cannot even find the roms to flash none of the build numbers match my device which is currently oriole-sd1a.210817.036-factory-297ee25a.zip
This is the rom I want to flash back and re lock everything back to stock.
Thanks in advance.
If you rooted your Pixel 6 pro using Magisk, unrooting it will be easy. There is an official Uninstall Magisk button in the app just tap on it, and select Complete to uninstall. The application will work on the uninstall process and automatically restart. Then you'll be back to normal.

Hello there...
I am very disappointed with my oneplus.. lots of problems but the worst is that it won't update. I used oxygen updater and have the LE2123_11.C.47 version installed... It doesn't find the C.48 version. System update indicates that this version is available but I always get a message "installation problem". Have tried everything that I can think of...
Support wants me to send them the phone (which I cannot afford as I really need to be using my phone every day) after suggesting a procedure with GoogleOTARepair that didn't work... Possibly because my phone is rooted?
I asked them to send me the update so I can manualy install... they won't.
So I really need you in order to update... preferably without having to factory reset..
Thank you in advance
You need the full rom file to upgrade when rooted. And there is no EU C.48 file.
What you can do is:
1 open magisk
2. Deinstall magisk
3. Hit restore image
4. Don't reboot
5. Take the system OTA to C.48
6. Don't reboot
7. Go back to magisk and install to inactive slot.
8. Reboot

Then you need to extract the boot.img of your version, move it to your phone, select it in Magisk, flash it.
Thank you all for your input. Everything is fine now... I rooted again following instructions on the site and everything is fine...
It's weird though because in the past I had managed to update without problems several times. The only thing I did to keep my root was not rebooting, Magisk, install on inactive slot, reboot.
Anyway, all is well now, thank you again!
New upgrade same procedure, worked fine ;-). Got a bit scared as phone appeared bricked for several minutes but everything went smoothly...
As no Full upgrade package is available, i suppose that's also the reason why Oxygene does not show an update available?
Thanks
my 9 pro on c61 won't update to c62. no matter what i do, uninstall magisk, flash the stock boot.img, i have no idea.
