Push volume up + down simultaneously while connecting the USB cable from the pc to the phone. That will put the phone in download mode.

Hi,
So 2 days ago I flashed a stock rom, then CMW 6.0.4.8 (that advanced edition), then CM11 + GAPPS found in that same thread.
Result is an only half booting gio, I can enter pin, then select a language and then it's all black except for the battery and signal indicators.
I tried flashing again with a different recovery and flashed CMW 6.0.4.5. Now I got the bluescreen which is common on that version.
No problem, just put it in download mode and odin flash it... wel, not!
I tried on at least 5 different pcs, all windows 7, with custom driver packages, with official samsung kies (2.6), with reboots and without reboots, all usb ports and different usb cables. One pc began installing drivers for MSM72xx (GOOD), but then failed saying the device was disconnected while it wasn't. On most pcs it appears in device manager under usb devices as unknown with error 43, but trying to manually install inf files for it isn't working.
So no pc sees my phone when in download mode, I can't access recovery and I can't even make it to the android homescreen.
Any ideas on how to get it working again? Cause obviously it isn't bricked, its just that by pure coincidince all roads to a working phone are blocked (only half booting android + bugged recovery + weird behaviour in download mode).
EDIT:
Maybe usefull info. The inigial stockrom I flashed (the latest you can find on sammobile.com) didn't completely boot either. It stayed in the boot animation for almost 1 hour before I turned it off. I hope there wasn't something wrong with the stock rom cause me to have a broken download mode now (though it passed odin's md5 check).
Thanks,
Stan
No problem!!!

1. First Flash CM11 Blindly From Existing (Blue Screened) Recovery via Following Method:
Download latest CM 11 For Gio (http://download.androidarmv6.org/_builds/gio/stable/cm-11.0.0-RC5-GT-S5660-gio.zip) to your PC, place it on c:\ drive
Boot to recovery 6.0.4.5, press
Vol. down -> Home -> Vol. down -> Vol. down -> Home
Thus you'll enter "Install zip from sideload"
Download Minimal ADB from Here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
. Connect your phone to PC via usb. Launch adb and type
Then Type:
adb devices
you'll get an output like
12346789 sideload
this means everything's ok
now type
adb sideload c:\cm-11.0.0-RC5-GT-S5660-gio.zip
wait aproximately 5 min for the rom to be copied to phone abd flashed
the press on the phone
back -> back -> vol. down -> vol.down -> Home -> vol. down -> Home
this is wipe data/factory reset
press
now back -> back ->
Home to reboot to system
Wait for the rom to boot up
Enjoy!

Thanks To @belyava
Now You Can Flash any other recovery via terminal method from within the ROM :good:
BTW have you tried pressing home button after black screen with half booting ROM?
@Stannieman
The biggest problem is you flashed

at the same time. I don't know why, but the cm11 rom and gapps have to be flashed separately: you have to boot to system after flashing the rom, make some customizations(change language, enable WiFi, etc.) and then reboot to recovery to flash gapps.
And where do all of you get these "blueish" recoveries???? use this one
Ok thanks a looooot! Going to try it as soon as I'm home.
And yes I did try pressing the home button but still no launcher.
EDIT:
Unfortunately the blind recovery method doesn't work either, still unknown device.
If I can't get it fixed before Monday I'll buy a new one and explore the world of WP8.1.
Did you try linux?
when you connect the phone to linux PC in terminal type
lsusb
it should show all usb devices
I just don't know if odin would work under linux
I just stumbeld across this post coz I am unable to access download mode nor recovery on my phone(but that's another story)
also I think when you download adb for linux you can cd to platform-tools/ and while your phone is connected in download mode type
./fastboot devices
it should pop up
these are just my ideas...
Magic happened yesterday. I'm doing an internship in a company where they develop for android. When in download mode it got immediately picked up by one of the developers' pc and we were able to flash a stock rom with odin. I guess he has some extra drivers that came with the SDK or something. For some reason my pc still doesn't see it in download mode, but at least I've got an up and running Gio again!
I have the Zenfone 2 and it is stuck in bootloop.
My brother boot it to CWM and flashed Paranoid Android without unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP. Now the phone stuck in bootloop, i tried flashing system.img the stock one but it is telling me that system.img cannot be loaded. What should i do? It is now bootlooping. I dont know what to do.

Go to Original Android developement. It's in the pre-rooted thread, these are the ONLY img files for roms available unless you push the zip file using ADB...
Flash the system zip file rather than trying to flash simply the .img. The zip files are in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/development/asus-zenfone-2-rom-t3054956) and might help because you're also flashing default recovery... could be CWM.
Also try flashing using fastboot.

What worked with me, Problem is simmilar, I flaged the Boot.img and androidboot.img, which Werke attached in the custim Rom folder, too. Without that, I gut stuck at the Boot Logo, now all works fine and I am trying to be up to date with the Roms.

1. download the latest recovery from here https://dl.twrp.me/Z00A/ and firmware from here http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE551ML/UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.97-user.zip
2. download and install adb and fastboot driver from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 and intel usb drivers from here https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
3.the adb driver should have installed in your pc OS drive [ which is C: ] put the downloaded recovery and firmware in that folder [where adb is installed] then in that folder, open command window by pressing shift and right click and a dialogue box will appear then open the command window from there and enter this command fastboot flash recovery {name of the recovery twrp something}.img then connect your phone to your pc and enter bootloader in your phone and press enter in command window.
4.after that put the downloaded firmware in any sdcard and put it in your phone then open recovery mode in your phone and go to reboot>recovery [yeah you have to reboot the recovery] then when recovery open again then go to wipe>advanced wipe> and select system, data, cache, dalvik and internal storage [internal storage is optional but if you choose it then it will wipe all your data in your phone] then wipe it and go to install section then choose the extsdcard [it should be written internal storage click on that then you can choose your external storage] then in the extstorage choose the firmware you downloaded and just swipe to flash.
5.patience ..because it would take time and maybe get stuck at 52% or 59% ..so just let it take time for installation [btw connect your phone to thr charger in this process]
6.after it done then reboot your phone and ALL DONE. [the first boot will take some mins to boot up]

Hello everyone i tryed to search similar issues in the forum but i only found this thread without solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/h815-stuck-bootloop-download-mode-t3235362
My G4 stucks on boot loop and i cannot reach bootloader mode or recovery.
I updated to M then i decided to unlock the bootloader.
Then I try to install twrp. Via fastboot flash command twrp doesn't seem to get installed. So i try to boot in twrp and then install the img to the recovery partition. All seemed to go fine. When i try to reboot to recovery twrp ask me to root the device. Why not? I leave twrp installs superSu (I think this was my mistake). Now I've a continuous bootloop, even if I simply plug it to the charger. Vol down + Power buttons neither vol up + power doesn't work.
Sorry for bad english
Yep.. You shouldn't have selected the built in version..
Copy an updated SuperSU.zip file onto a spare SD Card and slot it into the Phone.
Reboot into TWRP and install the new SuperSU.zip from the SDCard..
Are you able to boot TWRP? Of yes, take Hostilians advice.
Are you unable to boot TWRP? Enter download mode ( unplug device-> hold down Volume + -> plug device) and install a fresh OS using LGUP.

Hi
I have same situation. After SuperSu zip installation my G4 stuck on boot loop. Can somebody explain a little bit this procedure? I don't know how install a fresh OS and don't know what is a LGUP.
I found another link over Internet but...I'm not sure: rootmygalaxy.net/unbrick-lg-g4-with-lg-flash-tool
I don't have any way to enter into TWRP because as I say G4 is stucked and adb command don't work.
Any help appreciated

Follow this instructions here... although it doesn't tell you how to use it with your device in download mode! Anyways... is very easy to do it.
First install LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23 them LGUP. Plug in your device (you will notice that it doesn`t recognize your device, no worries) Unplug device, shut down, hold Volume + and plug device. It will enter download mode. Now go to LGUP click upgrade and choose your .kdz. Easy.
Cheers!

Hi
I didn't have to do it exactly this way. My phone was stucked in boot loader (black screen lg logo) and simply connected by usb to my windows. LGUP detected without extra actions and then I refurbished it with a kdz file.
Hope it helps someone
Thanks!
Hello, ever since I flashed the 14.1 nightly CM ROM, TWRP has no longer worked. I have tried reflashing the compatible MM BL and also tried a normal TWRP using fastboot, and nothing seems to fix it. Whenever I reboot into recovery mode, it just flashes a gray screen and never gets out of the loop. My phone can start up into normal mode fine, its just recovery that does not work.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B72QQTXqZSRweG5sYW0taFoycFE
download above files and extract files. go to MM bootloader folder. now reboot your phone into fastboot mode and connect to PC. now run upgrade.bat... once it finishes transfer file. and phone reboots the bootloader. now run twrp.bat. now as transfer finishes. now very important do not boot your phone to normal os.. find option for recovery mode and reboot into recovery. you will get into recovery..

SOLVED, the solution is simple, i just quickly installed the adb drivers during the TWRP screen showed up... have to attempt a few times but finally get it to works, then i flashed the rom using fastboot mode
Hey, i was in twrp and i wiped data and system, and it suddenly reboots...
after booting it shows some error messages then it reboots again in loop... i have no OS installed currently
i tried go to fastboot mode, installed adb drivers on 3 different computers each running windows 7, 8, and 10 but still cannot detect the device in fastboot mode...
anyone knows the solution ?? Thanks Before...
If video not show up, heres the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDQqBLMvD0E
See the attachment to see the error message
- download "P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot"
- Download this file" flashall.rar"
- Go to the file "P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot" and unzip it .. !!
- Unzip the file "flashall.rar" and move the file to the folder (P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot / sw )
Then Install ROM ... by fastboot mode ... and clicking on the flashall file

Don't do this if you don't want to have your phone baseband completely removed meaning no sim card function at all. I did exactly this when trying to install stock room and it deleted my baseband. Luckily I had made a backup a month before that. I restored it from the backup and the phone (sim card) started working again.
Anyways, back to the original issue. So you're saying your phone isn't recognized in fastboot? When I wipe system and data and then go into fastboot and enter "fastboot devices" it shows nothing but I can still flash files into the phone. I'm guessing this is because the phone has no 'name' due to the system wiping. So try going into fastboot on your phone, connect it to PC and open adb, and then enter the command 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img' (download the latest version of TWRP for Lenovo P2 and rename it to twrp).
If then you are able to enter TWRP after rebooting, download stock Lenovo P2 ROM and flash it.
